The mushroom risotto was cooked to perfection. Its not often that Im blown away when I order a mushroom risotto...its either too creamy or the rice is not cooked right.Their cheese cake and the gateau fondant, also delicious 👌🏾Beautifully designed restaurant, it is slightly on the trendy side for me but did enjoy my time there.Service was excellent 🙌🏾

This place is amazing, their service is always on point and their food is top notch. Today I wanted to introduce my kids into to fine dining, but I was a bit disappointed since their menu is very limited not that I blame them though, maybe kids are not their target market. I just wish in future they would consider. Nonetheless we had a great time as a family. ❤❤❤

Good food, good selection of whiskey.Salt and pepper squid comes with a deliciously fiery sauce. Marrow bones were great - had to ask for more bread. One measly slice...Rump steak and chips with mushroom sauce - steak cooked exactly the way I asked, chips great. Mushroom sauce a bit watery.Beef oxtail with mash - rich, succulent oxtail, creamy mashed potatoes.All in all a decent outing.They add a 10% tip as standard.

Welcoming, upscale and a great representative of how good Durban food can be. By far the best place found in the area after a week worth of dining.Large portions, fresh ingredients and a willingness to flavour meant that each dish was interesting and memorable. A fresh and large portion of biltong salad with macadamia nuts, a slightly over salted healthy soup, a fiery and yet subtle seafood curry and a surprisingly successful aubergine cannelloni, this was a meal that we enjoyed from start to finish. If all our Durban dining experiences had been to this caliber, Durban would be a foodie mecca.Well worth a visit to support what Durban dining could be.

I had an amazing night with my friends celebrating my birthday, their service was exceptional I ordered a cake and it was delivered there during the day and they signed for everything after confirming with me and our food was great pity our night had to end early due to Covid regulations

The place is great! Serves good food, the waiters are also very friendly. From the moment you enter, you just feel a calm atmosphere & ambience. Their music is just soothing, great for date nights, meetings or just for food. Since its Lockdown level 3, the place closes around 21:30. They have restrooms on the bottom & top floor.

We booked in advance to have dinner for 4 however the tables were still occupied by the previous guests. The staff quickly gave us temporary seating and once our table became available we were moved swiftly. The cocktails were very interesting and all that were ordered were greatly enjoyed. For our mains we had Aubergine Canneloni, Mbavu, stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon on a bed of risotto and the ribs and wings. The meals were plated beautifully and in a very rare experience we were all satisfied with our meals and wholly enjoyed it!Would definitely recommend Dukkah for a fine evening out.

The offerings do not match the ambiance.I had a cocktail that was very displeasing, I mentioned this to the waiter and there was no form of rectifying the situation.If youre going to have a list of cocktails on your menue, might as well invest in delivering quality or remove them from the list and stop deceiving customers.The deboned half chicken turned out to look like a chicken quarter leg and actually bones.A whole evening spoiled😠

Experience was very good!Had a party of 6 for a bridal party. Felt very comfortable. Would recommend sitting downstairs its a lot more spaced out and cooler.Food options are very good and varied. Price isnt too bad either.Dont think they had wheelchair access to the main seating area, I cant remember. But they do have wheelchair available seating outside.Overall great experience would recommend.

Food, ambiance and decor were all impeccable! The place is ridiculously well styled and beautifully furnished and you cant help but feel as though you are sitting in one of the best places in Durban.. The food prices leaned toward the steep side but the quality was worth every cent.

Food was everything that was expected, the setting of the restaurant was 1st class and the wine selection was worth the price. Overall the manager on duty greeted us with a smile and gave some excellent advise on what to eat and what to pair it with. The waiter was a bit slack but he made up as time went by.

Honestly the place can do better😔 we had booked a table for a birthday party and they made us pay 50% deposit upfront to confirm the booking, only to get there and be treated like walk-ins and were told to choose any table whilst we clearly told them which table we wanted when we made the booking😒 the staff isn’t efficient, they spend most of their time in tables that they think will give them big tips and that really set us off coz we were also paying customers and they could have gotten a fat tip from us, had they just given us enough attention. The food was okay. Honestly this place is too beautiful for how the staff treats it, they should really improve on their service delivery.

Poor service, that is why the place had one customer and 6 employees just sitting at the bar.I walked inside to have a coffee and some food. I took several photos of some art on the wall, then made my order.. shortly thereafter a man in a white shirt came to tell me he saw me taking photos and that he wanted to know, what i was doing there?I told him I was a customer that is what i was doing there. Then he told me I cant take photos in the restaurant. I kindly told him okay, then I left.Note to the Owner: Train your staff on basic customer service. Here is a tip to the guy in the white shirt, assume all people that enter a restaurant are customers. Never ever ask someone, what are they doing there.

Delicious seafood, attentive service, and fantastic music - live performances from 4-7pm in Sundays and a DJ afterwards. Airy space with a nice breeze - felt very safe and comfortable dining here. Would definitely visit again and recommend for others in the area.I had the harissa prawns (fantastically grilled) and my friend had the seafood curry (equally delicious)

Used to be one of my favorite places when I lived in Durban in 2019 cause of the quality of their food. Recently went there with my sisters (party of 14) and I was absolutely embarrassed to have suggested the place. We waited for quite a while for our food. My seafood linguine had empty mussel shells which was just shocking. Nothing was done to rectify that. Prawn pasta barely had any prawns, same goes for their chicken basil pasta..The standard has dropped significantly!

It was my first time at the Restaurant as we have been dying to visit, from PRETORIA to Durban. Honestly im so disappointed with our waiter and the service we got yesterday, why wait 20 minutes just to get a glass of water and another 20 for a glass of wine!!! Felt so looked down.. 40 minutes later food delivered and that was the only thing we actually 👍😋 enjoyed

What a wonderful evening. Food was superb. Waiter Vincent was attentive. Superb background music playing - just enough to be unobtrusive.Starters - fishcake balls and salt & pepper calamari. Both superb, but the win goes to the fishcake balls - taste explosion!Mains we all had the pinchata steak with various sauces - masala butter and green peppercorn. We ordered medium rare and it was more medium - suggest erring on rare. Chip side portions could have been more generous.Fantastic wine and drinks selection.Very stylish, upmarket restaurant that can compete anywhere in the world.Highly recommended.

Hhayi maan, angazi noma Im the only one who doesnt mind going there just to look at the waiters. Those guys are just fine, whoever is in charge of the hiring is doing a great job. Apart from their looks they are also friendly and make you feel comfortable. The menu has a variety of food options, very simple and easy to understand. I have had the eggs benedict and the hollandaise sauce was well done. Their pasta and ribs are very good. My favorite drink is the Botanical gardens, unfortunately I havent tried any other. Their upstairs sitting feels very private but overall the ambience of the place is quite pleasant. The location is awesome since it is not on the busy side of Florida road.

Great location & food. I went for after work drinks/early dinner on a Friday. I wish the DJ started playing earlier or that they played music at least. It was quite boring up until the DJ started playing at 8pm.

Great atmosphere and ambiance. The service is very good. Attentive. I had the polenta crusted fish. 3.5 out of 5. Well presented fresh, just enough, it was hake done differently (deep fried polenta crust) on a bed of veg. Just above average. The prawn linguine pasta in a tomato sauce base was very well presented and tasted lovely. 6 prawns in the dish. A 4 out of 5 for taste and presentation. Lastly the cheese cake was just that, cheesecake, what gave it the lift was the biscuit base and the lemon ginger coulis, a 3.5 out of 5. All in all this restaurant gets a 4 out of 5. Worth the price, and one to go back to for the service, ambience and tasty food

A great place to relax. The crowd picks up from roughly 12:30 depending on the day. Theres quite a selection on the menu if you are adventurous you will love it. The drinks are just as widely displayed, when you walk in to the restaurant, you will understand. The crowd can get a little loud so you may have to prep to talk rather freely than usual. I ordered a Dukkar chicken which looked scrumptious on the menu but unfortunately the waiter advised that it would have taken longer than the rest of the orders for our table and another waiter suggested their Alfredo and that was an excellent suggestion. The pasta was cooked right, the chicken were yummy, creamy and tasty. One of the best, thanks Chef. If you are looking for a great day or night out, this place is worth the shot✨

Great place. Decor is fab. Food is fab. Plenty of wine and drinks to choose from. Toilets are clean and staff is great. You can go there for dinner with Bae, lunch with friends or have an event there. If scared of covid you can dine outside where theres comfortable couches. It really is a beautiful place.
