If we could, we would have tasted all the Indian street food on their menu.We loved it...not many Indian restaurants serve these specific snack dishes.Its absolutely affordable, each dish has an authentic taste. Every single dish was brought out quickly, it was not a long wait for the meals. Each dish was Flavorful. Its amazing to view the various options and so difficult to choose one....hence you order to your hearts content and make sure you dont forget the take away(doggie bag) for later in the day as you cannot get enough of those distinctive flavors.The staff and managers were so sweet and helpfulIts a lovely restaurant and a place you have to try

Normally a favorite restaurant but lately its gone backwards in the quality of food. The Naan bread with our last order was like rubber and definitely old.

We ordered 2 breyanis(Mutton and Chicken) , meals came quickly and the portions were large enough for takeaways. The breyanis were very fragrant, delicious, filling and came with a portion of sambals and sour yoghurt.

Their Butter Chicken was decent, and the garlic naan really compliments it (Love the large portions).Their curry is a combination of joyful flavours along with their well-made chicken tikka.If you are looking for delicious Chai Masala Tea, I highly suggest you pop-in.The overall experience was pleasant.

Had an excellent, friendly experience today for lunch with my wife. Specials and menu with both quantity and quality in choice (including vegetarian) at very reasonable, fair prices. We asked for very mild and both our very well served dishes and naan bread came delicious and enjoyable. Recommended!

Management and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! They made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The food was delicious, and portions nice and large! Definitely recommend.

Food was great, and prices are reasonable. Curries are served in a pot with a heating flame to stay warm, while rice, naan or other sides are served separately. I had the Thali, which is a plate of the day platter consisting of a starter, 4 curries, rice, roti and a pudding (it was so much food that the last couple of bites from my platter was cold by the time I got to it - yet still delicious). Waiters are friendly and helpful in explaining all their dishes. Im curious to try all the other dishes on their menu. Definitely go for a starter, main and pudding - and perhaps order something you dont know, to increase your taste experience.

Durban has a lot of indian food but this place does stand out among the crowd. Wide range of dishes, from classical indian to more general asian fare. Also has some interesting original dishes (see Dhingri Dolma, a personal favourite). Also a rare source of well made chaat (indian snack foods), always a tantalizing starter to any dining experience.Love the place, well priced and staff are always helpful too.

With attitudes from the Indian waiter, bad management and bad food, its no surprise this place is a hit and miss and quiet for a Friday night. Never again!

My family and I went for an early supper on 25/10/20We ordered 3 main meals and drinks (bombay crush&masala tea)Mains were:Channa curry& puri2x prawn curry & naanOur mains arrived and it looked very unappetizing, it was a brown sweet curry. All 3 meals were sweet. It was sweet to a point where u would think sugar was used instead of salt.None of these meals were finished. When this was brought to the waiters attention, he said that the onions were sweet and therefore our meals had a sweet taste. He then brought us fresh green chili to add some spice to our sweet meals!The bombay crush and masala tea was tasteless. It was both very weak. The masala tea didnt taste or look like masala tea. It was such an unpleasant experience . I would not visit this restaurant again or recommend this to anyone.Customer service and food is very bad.

Absolutely disappointed. Ordered a milkshake and a Bombay crush. The banana milkshake was sour and the Bombay crush ice cream was sandy. Both were just milk and syrup very weak.

We had the most delicious supper at Bombay Blu this evening. We went with suggestions from the owner and were not disappointed at all. Everything was outstanding! So glad we chose to go there!

I had ordered their Pani Puri and it tasted disgusting. Never again!

Engaging and attentive staff. Great variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. Have dined here twice and enjoyed the meals and the atmosphere. The outside seating is my recommendation for any weather even if its chilly.

Delicious curry! Went with a group of friends, we all had something different and all were delicious. Quite cheap for really decent helpings. Naan breads were huge could definitely share between two people. Staff were friendly and service was very good. Very casual restaurant, suitable for groups. Would recommend!

The best Indian food in Durban. Owners are lovely people who take pride in their food. Food is amazing and tasty with lots of sauce, fresh steamed rice, tasty roti and delicious Naan. Not the best looking restaurant decor wise but very traditional and perfect for a quick meal with friends, a date with the partner or family. Probably wouldnt recommend if you want to impress a new date or business people from overseas as the restaurant interior isnt fancy. Amazing take away as well. Really good value for money and an absolute gem.

Nice quaint Indian restaurant catering mainly for North Indian dishes but includes some South Indian specialities as well. The waiters are attentive and friendly. Reservations might be necessary during peak times.

Authentic Northern Indian cuisine with friendly staff that are happy to make suggestions and explain their menu. The portions are generous and incredibly tasty. Superb value for money.

Good food at reasonable prices in a good location. Staff need more training to deal with customers during busy time as they come across unfriendly. Parking can be difficult to find during busy times.

Bombay Blu is a quaint restaurant. Meals that I have tried (vegetarian ones) were delicious. I would recommend ordering from the Chaat Menu to experience what Indian street food taste like. During peak periods it is recommended to call to make a booking.

Excellent local curry house with a large selection of curries, breads and various starters. The food is quickly prepared to order and the flavours are amazing. The Kadai prawn curry is something quite special and a winner for any seafood lover. Takeout is available and although prices arent cheap, the food is worth it.

You cant ever go wrong when your date has developed a taste for the East and the Indian cuisine prepared with such passion really hits the spot...make sure to ask for hot option and it will make for an unforgettable evening. Highly recommended

Had dinner there last night. Lamb curry for me, prawn curry for my wife. Mine was ok - ordered medium, but it was super mild. Wife enjoyed hers. Service very friendly.

Delicious Indian food. Tables are a bit small when you have a large group.....staff happily add a table if you request one. Toilet and sink area are disappointing.

The pani puri is amazing here... even when you ask for takeaway, it is packed properly.

For some reason I have struggled to find a delicious Birjani close to home... until today when I ordered the Chicken Birjani from Bombay Blu. Wow!!! Absolutely delicious, nice portions and Lots of flavour. Will definitely be back!

Food was good but it was the shittiet service I have ever had. They were so rude to us. Understandably we went there for take aways on New Years day buy to be told we should not expect fast service on days like that and told to just wait after we waited over an hour for our food. What a bunch of rude people

Good day, my family and I had lunch at Bombay blu today and our experience,very disappointing. We ordered the pani puri and chilli idli, which was ok. Our mains was not ok. My nephew had the lamb dish which was pre cooked and just added to a thick sauce that had no spice, he had to ask the waiter for something to add the dish to add some taste, the waiter brought mix veg pickle . My sister-in-law had the chicken Manchurian which was in the same hot sauce the the idli had. My husband had the masala dosa and I had the paneer dosa. The paneer dosa had the same hot sauce again, so it seems as though they have one hot sauce used in all their so called spicy chilli dishes. The dosa itself was nice but the coconut Chutney tasted like something out of a can and the sambar was nothing like what I have eaten in other restaurants. It was not good at all. My daughter had the dhall makani and it tasted a bit sweet as if the sugar beans was the can ones. Also not what we expected. I will not go back to this restaurant. Who even pre cooks lamb, it takes 30mins max to cook from fresh. So disappointed.

Terrible food and terrible manager with an ego problem. The masala dosa was burnt and the thali curries were awful. Will never eat here again!!!!
