I cannot get hold of one person that is employed by Discovery Health to assist me with my elderly parents who are covered by Discovery and need to discuss options. This is an absolute joke that Discovery does not care about those elderly members but to take their money every month is ok.

We left home at 9:30 this morning with a view to getting to Discovery at 10:00 when an agent from this company phoned and said we should just arrive and speak to an agent in order to get clarification of various products that Discovery has for my wife who wants to join your esteemed company. We were told to fill in a form and an agent would phone to make appointment to come to our home. Why were we told to go to the offices in the first place, who will pay petrol and wear and tear to our little car. In todays climate surely all companys are keen to get new clients.

03/02/2020Today after 2 and half months of my previous review discovery replied that issue is escalated as users can see from Discoverys response,But after more than 2 months I am still waiting my car to be repaired !Now I very well remember that Discoverys service provider NetAssesss repairer warned me that if I complain against their inferior quality work than they can get my car grounded for long and here I am from more that last 3 months my car is grounded and both discovery and netassess seems to have joined their hands to suppress my voice against favoritism, corruption and unprofessional conduct of Discovery and their Service providers.Discovery can not give me any good reason why they taking months to do minor repairs ?each and every one willing to take motor vehicle insurance must learn from my case and if they want to know more details you are welcome to contact me. dont fall for discovery rewards , rewards will not help fixing the car in case something goes wrog!------below is my initial review posted more than 2 months ago-------Worst insurance company i have ever encountered so far in my life, favoritism is rampant , my car was lying at discoverys favorite repairer from more than 3 weeks , despite my multiple notifications to discovery and hundreds of minutes over the phone, and numerous emails not even a single written reply from discovery although their automated response says that with in 24 hours they will get back to me but never it happened.I ask simple question why discovery and net assess not taking note of bad repairs being done again and again and giving chance one after other to mess with my car.How come discovery insure such a big company couldnt find a repairer of repute and industry accreditation in entire Durban city ?I am tired of calling discovery and they like a layman gives me a same lame answer that they will get back to me or they have escalated or they waiting report from assessor what kind of vicious circle I am stuck just because i trusted discovery insurancevery very very bad service!

Ive had a claim due to an incident with my blood pressureIve fell victim to nondisclosure even though Ive submitted my doctors letter and reports showing that I have been treated for the common flu previous to my current conditionDiscovery kicked me off the medical aid without informing me and refused to cover my hospital BillsIm now in debt thanks to the medical aid department at discoveryFurther to this, the broker who introduced me to this medical aid scheme starts sending me letters stating that he has nothing to do with processes and only makes a commission and can only advise me as to what to do; I mean hes my broker, theyre there to assist you, not tell you to deal with Discovery directly because theres nothing that they can doFurther to this, Ive sent in all my proof documentation for assessment and they say that they reply in 5 working days; guess what, I had to call them after 3 months to get an answer which they state that theyre correctFunny story is that I have no issues with the vehicle insurance departmentPlease do not waste your time joining Discovery health, theyre the biggest rip off Ive ever dealt withPlease try someone professional

Long wait. My issue was not resloved. Not enough seats for clients waiting to be assisted. Its sad that the service is not that good when taken into account the amount of money we pay them for their services.
