Worst service experienced today ! Hospital is short staffed and extremely disorganised ! People skipping the waiting line that arrived long after people seated and being attended too by nurses. Start putting your patients first ! You get paid to provide a service so start making an effort ! Pathetic

The nurses needs to be groomed to work more efficiently. How can you come so early like 6am...get a number and then the nurses take your small card for chart ....then suddenly the nurses start calling names of patients who came hours after you. So why give numbers and wasting state resources if they cant even coordinate the queue fairly??? Whats the point of arriving early??? The human resources should look into this.

Mc Cord Hospital is the best. Their customer care/ Batho Pele is 🙌🙌🙌. From the security guards to the Doctors.... what a wonderful treatment.

First experience there was today...Staff are super helpful and friendly, they dont treat you like your just a number, they express their concerns and are compassionate!Quick service and very clean and tidy!We all prayed for everyone that was there whether it was minor or critical, very caring!Looking forward to my next visit!

It was a very long wait

I went to have my lens cleaned after cataract surgery 5 years ago. I had the most awesome service and the Drs and Nurses were all so helpful and compassionate. I was nervous but the went out of their way to calm me down and allay my fears.. thank you to all the staff who treated me.

Our friend who has cataracts on both eyes went for her scheduled surgery this month to McCords and all patients, including herself, were turned away and told to return in a years time. She is battling to see and came away very disappointed not only for herself but for the others, including children who were asked to return. When she asked what she would be returning for next year she was told it would it would be for another eye test. I am so sad for her and as a Nursing Sister myself I feel the very least these patients should get is an explanation of why no scheduled surgery took place. If anyone can help I would be most grateful. Imagine not being able to see for at least another year with not even a surgery date.

I arrived with my son at about 12.30pm on Thursday 21st September, who suffered severe trauma to his eye due to assault. We would like to thank the dedicated McCord team for the friendly, efficient and professional manner in which he was seen to. Well done!!!

I took my Mum to McCords, we were there around 5:00.When we got there security directed us, we were seated and a little after 5:30,a clerk arrives asking if everyone had their cards and or letters. These were checked and patients were directed to the respective rooms. The waiting period is a bit drawn out but theres order. The staff was very friendly and doctors were very helpful.To the clerk at reception, well done and to the rest of the staff.I would recommend McCords anytime.

No matter how early you turn up to this hospital the long lines are always there , it’s highly frustrating that one can spend an entire day here for a 5 minute Dr consult , as with most state hospitals the system is cumbersome and the medical staff overworked , what is the use of booking an appointment if the waiting times are so long ? Had blood taken from me LAST YEAR and TO DATE I have not received the results . One would rather save up and go to a private health care facility

I enjoyed being there as a clinician,its just that there are lot of patients so its sometimes a bit tiring, but its a good learning area for a student
