This is the most unfriendly interaction Ive had with any store. I need to ask if the item I need to purchase is available in your store, instead of driving 30km to do it. This is IMPOSSIBLE. The idiotic telephone system takes you through hoops. I dont want this. I KNOW the store I need. Its Springfield. All I want to do is ask a HUMAN a simple question

The worst service in general and especially the worst customer service. Took back a brand new Epson printer( not used at all, not even switched on, blue tape on the product also still intact). The box was opened and found the scanner glass had a crack on one corner. Took it back to the store and straight away get told theres no warranty on physical damage (bear in mind this a brand new unused product). Been over 2 months now and they still refuse. Apparently thats nothing new with this particular store and customer service is worse compared to other Makro stores

Friendly and helpful staff. I hope that they dont push their staff out to labour brokers. For now their staff are dedicated to their jobs

Minenhle was a super star finding styles and sizes for me - really helpful guy with a lovely energy.

Very nice and safe place. Has alot of nice deals so you can save money. Sometimes very busy on weekends as well as month end but staff work fast to ensure that the people are seen to as quick as possible.

Marko Springfield the customer service is exellent the shop is huge very easy to shop and plenty parking space.

Hi. There was staff in your kitchen appliance section but they very unhelpful. Was looking for assistance with the purchase of a microwave but staff were more interested in chatting with their colleagues and checking their phones.

It was a great shopping experience. Unfortunately with the loss of product due to the looting it is non operational.

Going early in the mornings are best. They tend to start getting a bit too crowded from 11am onwards.

Shereen in the Large Appliance section is incredible. Phoned to ask about and dishwasher and when we arrived, it was on the trolley waiting for us. That is customer service at its very best. Well done. If only all shopping experiences could be like this. Keep it up.

Makro is a great shop especially because it has everything under one roof. However, the staff was really unfriendly. They dont care to greet and if you greet them the response shows disinterest. The lady at the fitting rooms was worse, she was even rude for no good reason and sounded irritated if you ask something from her. Even the cashier at liquor shop had a huge frown on her face.

Nice and clean. I love Makro because I always get what I need there, food, clothes, computers, etc.

It was really hot today in the store. There is literally no air conditioning in the store. I really battled in there with my mask on. Temperature outside was like 34 degrees. It felt the same inside the store.

Absolutely horrible experience the cashiers were so unfriendly n so rude. The staff inside were very helpful and friendly the car guard guys were the best . I did get really good deals on wat I wanted oh and also wen I went to customer service they were rude busy talking stories wile long line of customers are waiting .

Today got to enjoy being a pensioner at Makro Springfield. Attention in the different departments was amazing!

Today I went to return an item.It took over one hour to wait in the que .That pathetic and not of makro standards ,As I have returned items before.When I asked about the long wait I was told it was due to covid.As I mentioned earlier Ive been to the return department before even with three counters open . The service was faster and more superior.Totally disappointed as to the many others that joined the line and left with disgust.Please investigate as to see what went wrong and prove a better way forward

No aircon in the store, it is horrific to stand in there just for a short while, cant imagine how staff cope the whole day in there. I was dripping with perspiration and I was only there for an hour. Surely a big retailer like Makro can afford to ensure we all shop comfortably and take their staff wellbeing a little more seriously? 😳 😳 😳

Its a great place to be, but they need to fix the issue of a shopping card, if you forgot it, there must be an option to insert your ID number to access your profile, instead of sending you to another section to make another card before you purchase.

Bought an oven online, carefully removed the packaging, tried to install oven however didnt fit, put oven back in original packaging, returned it to Makro Springfield. Received credit minus R200 for the packaging, because packaging was broken! Really? How are you supposed to fit an oven with the packaging on! Ridiculous, wont be back.

The staff were great. Store policy. Very! Very! Strict about wearing masks. Have people walking around the shop telling customers and staff to put there masks on properly. Disappointed about not being able to try clothes on at the shop. Can buy clothes and take them home. Try them on at home and then return them to the shop for credit. ?????? Whacked if you ask me.

Expection of lower prices was not met

The staff were helpful, but they didnt have 500g Robertson Epsom Salt I wanted. I checked online & it said it was available at Makro Springfield but when I went, there was none on the shelf & they checked their spare stock & didnt have, so I wasted petrol going for nothing.

I bought a sansung led 19inch monitor which did not meet the resolution requirements of a CCTV and the return policy says if the product does not meet your requirements you can return it only to be charged R200 for packaging honestly was disappointed with such deception

Best place to buy in bulk. Everything from food items to electronics. What does Makro not have. Well they dont have alot of vegan foods items but there is still fresh fruits and vegetables. Their specials always bring me back every month

I have been 11 minutes on the phone to get a estimate delivery time for the appliances that we purchased and no one answers the phone. I am wasting my airtime and still cant do anything. Its pathetic.

I made an online order and was pleasantly surprised when part of the order arrived 2 weeks earlier than I expected. That is where the pleasantness started waning as we found the clay fire pit we ordered smashed inside the box. I quickly put in a call to both the courier and the Makro call center. I found the call center rep empathetic and ready to direct me to fill out a return form which I did. I then received a follow up email stating the local store would follow up and fetch the damaged goods and replace it. That was May 24th. I was not contacted since. I made a second call and was again helped by a kind representative. But I still have not heard anything and really just want to enjoy the product we paid for long ago or receive our money back if it is too difficult to deliver on an order made. I would love to speak to a Springfield store rep who has the ability to give me real information and get things moving.

Ordered Duvet set and pillows before winter, i received the duvet but the pillows have not received them till now, they said it was a split order. I have called countless times, sent emails and have been told the matter has been escalated. asked to be credited back the money into my account but no they just do not respond, worst online experience ever

Terrible store. I have spent some time here, buying an R8000 washing machine, R11000 TV and yet the service is still and will always be atrocious. Rude staff and dodgy characters in the store as well. Airconditioning doesnt work either so you want to get out asap!

I went to Makro springfield yesterday to buy a fridge, they kept me waiting for morethan 30 minutes.. all the people I requsted to help me me told me that they are not responsible for the fridge section, i ended up leaving the shop withouth buying the fridge because the was no one to assist me.

I am very disappointed I brought a AEG 8kg front loader washing machine and it starting to give me problems when I called the customer care on 15/01/21 I was told the Wil get AEG to come and look at the washing machines I called again on wensday to asked when AEG Wil come the to look they told me the call was only logged on teuday and it take 5 working days called again I said Im going to makro Springfield Park then I was told the Wil not help me until AEG came and tell them what to do I did bought it at AEG I brought at makro Springfield Park now if I call a again I get put on hold and then the phone get cut the is very bad service I Wil never by electrical appliance again at makro Springfield if that is how the treat a work I paid so much for a washing machine to end up wash with my hands because all the say is I must wait for AEG take the washing machine back to makro
