Exceptional dessert. We ordered the chocolate brownie and the chocolate lovers and it was just wow! Will definitely be coming back for more. Service was friendly and quick too! Coffee aswell was spot on flat white!

Good coffee but didnt enjoy the dessert. All were microwave heated and quality was below average. Some menu items were not available as well.However, I enjoyed the sitting. I hope they can work out the quality.

Absoulte gem of durban.i am a local connoisseur of deserts and ice cream as here in durban and tryst me when u say they truly stand out with their taste and quality especially their cheesecakes ice creams and waffles. Great atmosphere and seating as well.Definitely worth trying.

Perfect belgian waffles; soft inside and slightly crispy outside. Enjoyed the Ferrero ice cream as well as strawberries on top, although i did feel that the pricing for adding on strawberries at R25 was a bit steep. Good seating area.

Colaba is the finest ice creamery in the country without a doubt. The flavours are so delightful with depth of character and richness. You get the feeling that something special has just happened after youve treated yourself.

If u looking for handcrafted delicious ice cream then this is the place to go. Also saw some tasty looking cheese cake, waffles and coffee. They have lots flavours that are middle East inspired. Great setup.. lots of tables spread apart due to covid. Owner is super friendly and helpful.

My fiancé and I found this niche store tonight. We were greeted and served by an incredibly friendly face. As regular frequenters of the ice cream stores in Durban, we absolutely loved the strawberry with shortbread and the afogato ice creams. Not to mention the amazing New York style cheesecake that I’m currently tucking into.Definitely worth it!

Went to one of the best food joints in Durban called the junk yard. Spoke to the owner who told me that theres an ice cream that will improve your mood. Tried it for myself and I was not disappointed. Colaba has the best ice creams around. Its a must have !!!

Beautiful and modern setup. The ice cream is definitely out of the ordinary.

Some of the nicest ice cream weve tried in a long time.. However, a little bit difficult to find especially at night, even with Google maps due to poor store front lighting. Will definitely be back soon to try out the waffles and milkshakes!

Venue is 5 stars, ice cream was O K. Needs a few more original flavors and some tweaks to existing flavors. Needs more straightforward descriptions on flavor profiles as well.

SO glad that Durban finally has a gourmet dessert eatery.Colaba has amazing varients of their premium hand crafted icecream in fusions of flavours youd never even think would pair so well.Love the setup. There is an awesomely relaxed ambience where you can spend hours chilling without even realising.For the none icecream people theres a whole menu with other delicacies like cheesecake and creme brulee which are perfect with a cuppa.

Tried this last night. I had the Bastani Sonnati flavour, which was tasty. However, the price is NOT justifiable. R35 for a scoop (1 flavour only, and a fairly small scoop), then an additional R10 for a cone! So, R45 for a smallish scoop of ice cream, not even gelato! Im not willing to pay this much when I can get proper gelato, 2 flavours and a larger quantity in a cone for a fair bit cheaper. Wont be back.*update 20 December 2020*Afzal (the owner) subsequently responded (see response below). In your response you make it seem as if I do not understand the difference between handcrafted ice cream and gelato, nor the difference between an ordinary and sugar cone. I consider myself an aficionado on ice cream and gelato, having eaten many of these on my extensive travels globally and domestically. Believe me when I say that I certainly understand the differences. I appreciate your product, what I do not appreciate is the fact that it is way overpriced. If the product had been mind blowing, I would have been happy to pay the price. However, for the discerning palate this just did not cut it.
