I have used 4 different Europcars in my life as I rent vehicles 3 to 4 times a year from Europcar.. Today I decided to use Durban Downtown.Friendly and accommodating staff.. however the car I was given was not cleaned, washed OR sanitized.. during COVID-19 mind you. Shocking and I am highly disturbed by this.. fingerprints everywhere on the windows and steering wheels... Pizza crumbs and food inside the car everywhere.. mud on the carpets and pedals... Please do yourself a favor and spend the extra R50 petrol money going to Umhlanga or King Shaka.. as these branches follow COVID-19 protocols and actually clean the cars before clients pick up. Update: the car has an unbearable rancid stench when the car is closed for 30 min or more!!

I swear down, never go to this company, they will steal your money. I strongly do not advice them. They dont make things clear at all and are unfriendly.

Poor Poor Poor customer service. I have a serious issue with the hire car just picked up.Its sound like lawn mower on the road, there are scratches all over the body and one big bad patch on the passages side. I have never seen a hire car with so much scratches and dirt. This is disgraceful for a reputable company. Please can you assist me sort out this matter urgently! I await your response

Poor poor customer service. I had issues with the booking from my insurance and they were so unhelpful in assisting me. Their service agents are extremely unfriendly.

Firstly the initial car assigned to me was not clean, car seats were terrible, cigaret smelling all over the car. I was so happy to get another car after I raise concern with the staff. Returning the car was a bad bad with experience with Europcar. Guys sitting in the office not servicing the customers, talking not observing you, leave alone that I did not even get a feed back after checking the car😨

Great! had the gentleman forgot his name, nearly gave me hernia when he told me the deposit I needed to put up. But he was pulling my leg. The wait time to verify was long. But I am a patient person

Service was slightly slow, but this can be attributed to arriving early, at around 08h00. The car was clean and the staff went round the car with us before we signed for it, ensuring all small scratches, chips, etc were noted down, ensuring we dont have to pay for the on return of the vehicle.

Worst car hire, bad customer service. Given a car that vibrated when it reached higher speed. Wont recommend it to anyone.

The service is good. You do have to wait a few minutes to be attended but their processes are quick and easy.

Poor service. My car was ready only 30 minutes after the planned time. The communication was shocking. Not impressed. The airport staff are way way better than Downtown.

The downtown durban branch showed almost desire or enthusiasm towards customer service or satisfaction. They were slow and not at all helpful.

I consider Europcar the best car hire company in Durban.
