One of the Spars of my choice. For a smaller Spar the selection of Fresh produce and hot freshly prepared foods are numerous , the freshly prepared food are mouth watering and delicious I always force myself to this Spar when I am lazy to cook and feel for home cooked meals . They have a hot fresh selection. Plentiful convenient grocery lines and frozen foods . Bakery has hot fresh rolls and breads of all varieties. Huge selection of cakes , donuts etc for your sweet tooth. Also wide selection of savories. Has a coffee bar for your caffeine fix. Situated in a enclosed centre , has ample parking with friendly car guards please support them .

Greetings! I love my local Riverside Spar however, I popped in today and noticed that one of the tellers was doing some backstretches. When I commented on this, I learnt from another teller, to my horror, that all forms of seating had been removed from them because they are supposed to stand in front of the customers. I was shocked! Please return their chairs immediately! We have hopefully evolved as a species. This is not how you treat members of staff and will only have negative results. Standing in the same position all day is very different from the walking around that the management does, with breaks, Im sure. Please bring back our old happy Spar.

I went on Market Day. Unfortunately there was nothing on except prepacks, went at 10h30 approx. Too early. Market day for me starts early so you get the best. Otherwise a good convenient store. The tellers are friendly.

Good service workers got lot of respect

In store promotion advertised eggs for R3 more than the advert in the paper. When I telephoned and pointed out the difference to the manager, I was put on hold for eternity. To curb my airtime being used up, I called back and immediately got through to the manager who then offered to call me back after about 10 minutes he called back and apologised for their oversight. How many shoppers had already been cheated our of an extra R3? And much more has the Spar Riverside benefitted by this oversight? Always check your change, the rounding off, the adverts and your till slip to make sure you are paying the correct prices.

The bakery and fast food section needs some attention.

Got to very careful shopping at this place, bought 2 tins lucky star tuna on 25 /04/2021 , and was charged for 3, another R14. 99 stolen from me, not the first time, 08 Aug 2021 they tried eon me again for about R160, bought a 38.99 toy was charged 201. 99, seriously am beginning to think they deliberately doing this,

Very clean and the service is 100% good

So disappointed in Riverside Spar. I have been a loyal customer since you opened and do my major shop with you every month. I bought a pair of batta shoes that are on the spend R500 or more and bought the wrong size. I am giving these to my gardener for his little boy. I then asked your manager if I could swap them for a different size and was told no we don’t do that. Definitely not the friendliest lady as it seemed that it was more important to carry on chatting to a staff member than help a customer. So sad that what once used to be a fantastic family store is now just a store that don’t care about their customers. Hypermarket here I come.

You desperately need to replace your trolleys with decent trolleys hence the reason I go more now to Kensington spar until you value your clientele
