Good quality meat and youre made to feel comfortable asking their advice on a specific cut of meat or about quantities. Their take away is limited but good with great coffee. You could sit in too. Very casual.

Always receive good service and the quality of the meat is fantastic. Their biltong is amazing and its an extra treat when they make their very own pork crackling. Food is good as well, I usually like to have the Mozambican chicken wrap, quality is consistent and its the perfect amount of spicy.

Excellent biltong, value for money breakfast, and the butcher is not bad either.

We bought a small roast leg of lamb weighing 1110 grams .it was mostly bone and fat and was tough weighed the waste it was 590grams .so we got very little meat of this roast. Very disappointed as we have been told how good the meat was at Karoo butchery

Amazing butchery!!! Full of great cuts of meat. Their burger patties are very tasty.They make great coffee there too!!! You can also grab a decent bit to eat there too. They have a deli shelf full of spicy mayo, spices, granolas and olive oils... etc.Defiantly worth visiting.

I wanted to review the Express shop, but its not yet in Google Maps (please add it if youre the owner!). Never in my life did I think Id review a butchery, but my word what a wonderful little shop! SUCH incredible cuts of meat that you just want to try everything. Great prices to boot, even in December when prices are normally hiked. But the best thing is the staff. When we left and they said goodbye I was almost sad not being able to sit down and have a cup of tea with them. They are a huge asset to your business!

This is the real deal. I only eat grassfed and they are honest about what is and what is not even when they dont have any in stock. One staff member, I think the manager knows and the others ask him if they dont know. We can only HOPE that other butcheries follow in Karoos footsteps. Great job guys! I just have to tell you that i think that your products, especially the prepared meats, are shocking. I bought lamb ribs yesterday and they were tasteless and ever so tough . I have also had not so great rump steak recently.The taste experience is just not there anymore.Im an old customer and for the prices youre now charging , i sadly think that theres much better quality further a field.

Best lamb in Durban North. Friendly staff in this family business. Sadly this type of butcher is not common any more. Beats supermarket and chain type of meat outlets by far.
