Ive been to Hirsh Springfield today and we had a really great experience with the sales staff that assisted us. I unfortunately didnt get her name but she went out of her way to ensure we got what we were looking for. What I admired was that she listened and gave us our space to look and chat but was still present to answer our questions. I was also very happy with her product knowledge. On entering the store I was greeted with covid measures all in place and then directed to spares team who were most helpful. Got my parts and cleaning equipment and back on the road to get the fix in place. Thanks Hirsch team for a great experience.

It was an experience in how to make clients happy. Staff were curteous, knew the whereabouts of everything in the store, knew how everything worked. The staff did not rush you but were around if you needed help. You did not have to go looking for them.

****Pathetic Customer Service. I am very disappointed**** I requested for Hirsch Springfield Park to contact me on numerous occasions and I have many calls to them directly. They take my number but no one ever calls back. This is very poor customer service and I now sitting with a brand new fridge still sealed in the box with the plug hanging out which is broken. I need someone to contact me urgently. The sales person is always unavailable and is always on another call. This matter needs to be attended too urgently.

So, I bought a Bosch oven and hob about 10 years ago, thinking that if I buy quality then I wouldnt have to replace it in the near future. Today I phoned the spares department at Hirsch, because my thermo fan is not working, and I need a new element. The Manager on duty informs me that they dont make that element anyone. Now what is the use of spending all that money on Bosch equipment, when they discontinue parts. Now I sit with a bosch stainless steel stove that doesnt work. The Manager on duty just said that she cant help me. Very Disappointed at this time.

Awful service from the pick up centreBought a base, was supposed to be a padded base, was not, but it was a normal baseThe legs of the base were not attached, when we got home, they did not fit onto the base.When the men were loading the base into my vehicle, the bashed it into the back of my leather seats, and ripped the rear of the seat, it was sad to see that they accepted no accountability for this incident. I had purchased a fridge on the very same day but Hirsch could not deliver the base with the fridge, reasoning was obscure and nonsensical as both items were at the Springfield branchAs usual Hirsh is a law unto themselves

Great place to get spares for appliances. Very helpful team. Just annoying that you cannot use your points on the Hirsch card if you dont have the card physically in store. Really crazy especially if you can produce proof of identity via drivers license or id. Management should really relook this policy as it is not customer friendly.

Amazing service.The washing machine I wanted was price matched and because I bought it before 12 it was delivered and fitted after lunch. My new washing machine was delivered and then installed by the nicest and most professional delivery man. His manner was courteous and they took my machine away. Im only sorry I dont know the name of the man who installed my machine as he was top class. Very Happy with the service I received

The service was good and the staff were ready available on the floor. However the lady who served us did not have adequate knowledge to answer our questions on the product comparisons that we were looking at. I did receive most knowledgeable and efficient service on a prior visit when services by another consultant. The store is accessible with good parking access and many products on display. I do find the stairs rather cumbersome as is the upstairs layout and access.

Its unfortunate that after reviewing and giving positive feedback, I encountered a problem with a hob, and have been waiting for weeks for it to be fixed.The query that was opened (KJ247358) was closed without informing me and when I communicated through email, Sandhya from enquiries email address confirmed to receiving and even copied Joewell, Shivaan, Nats and Springfield service. None of them came back to me afterwards, and it has been more 9 days since I sent the email.

Hard to rate a store during this covid pandemic. Still it deserves a 5 star. Salesman Mervin matched the price of Builders warehouse. I saved R800. I only dealt with Mervin....he made it 5 stars. His knowledge on the item was impressive.

Our years of purchasing all apliances, tvs, and many Samsung phones from Hirsch was vindicated when an under warrantee SMEG refrigerator continued to be problematic, and SMEG refused to properly repair it. One email to SMEG copied to Hirsch was all that was needed to get a replacement fridge within a day! Thats what you call service!

Hirschs is famous for its customer service but I have yet to experience it. I purchased a tumble dryer and was advised by the excellent Lillian that it would be delivered by a certain day. As I live alone, I had to take off an afternoon of work to await the delivery. When I called Lillian that afetrnoon to confirm, she said the driver was in Pinetown and would not be able to make the delivery until the following day. So now I have had to take off 2 days of work for this delivery, losing money and wasting my time. This is not the first time this has happened with Hirschs. In the past, on almost every occasion when I needed a repair or delivery and set up a specific time, I am always called late and told We cant come today because the repairman/driver is in Pinetown or Tongaat or Amanzimtoti or Ballito, somewhere far enough to make it conveniently impossible for delivery. In addition to this, I am being charged a delivery fee of R250. I informed Lillian that I will cancel my order if it is not delivered the following day. In the store, fabulous service; once you have paid for your purchase, dont expect the same good aftersales service. They are quick to take your money but after that, you are on your own, with not so quick on aftersales service or delivery. After nearly 20 years of buying Hirschs products, and suffering the same story EVERY TIME a delivery or service is scheduled, I will think twice about buying from this company. If the delivery is not made by tomorrow, I will be cancelling purchase. This is not what I expect from a so-called reputable and reliable company.

This one star rating is due to poor telephone service. Due to covid one avoids unnecessary trips so I called to check for stock. After opening time kept getting voice mail after several attempts. Some hours later tried again and got through but no one in spares ever answers so eventually gave up. Tried Umhlanga branch where the phone was always answered by switchboard but spares never ever answers and do not return messages. What happened to good old fashioned phone service? Non existent at Hirsch it seems.

Store is huge and they have a wide range of appliances. I still wouldnt buy from there though. The sales people use customer profiling and only go to help or assist those customers they can see they will make commission on. I walked into the store and because I wasnt dressed like I have the money to buy anything there not 1 sales person greeted me or came to assist me. Finally when someone did approach they brushed me as if I couldnt afford any of their appliances. Definitely not going back there.

Kerry at this branch is brilliant. She organised my new dishwasher over WhatsApp in a jiffy and it was installed before I made it home.

Most unreliable branch of Hirschs. Pathetic service delivery and turn around time. Staff are poorly trained in CUSTOMER PROTECTION ACT as they tend to only concentrate on closing the deal and not adhering to delivery schedules. Its sad that they take your payment immediately but not give you your goods on time. This behavior is displayed by both staff and management. Never doing anther purchase there. Same problem experienced in September but thought Id give them another chance .

Twice this week I experienced very poor service. First visit, no-one to assit me with questions on the LG OLED TV. I was told the expert was on leave. I went home and did the research on LG website and got what I needed. I went back the next day with everything typed up and ready to load up and make payment. Only two ladies managing payments and both were involved in counting a pile of cash. The third was busy with documents and ignored me. While waiting, I even remarked to the Hirsh sales person that this is unusual to have cash being handled in full view of public. I waited for a while and counting piles of cash takes very long and no-one to assist me. I left frustrated. Back in the car park a saleman offered to load up order on his mobile phone, but I would have still needed to wait for both ladies to finish. I declined saying that this was very poor service and would buy elsewhere. Their loss is 2 x LG 55 OLED TVs.

Terrible service. Get fobbed off to manufacturers with warranties issues with no support from Hirsch. Will never buy from these guys again. Better off going to a larger retail store to make large appliance purchases, at least you will have peace of mind in terms of service and future support. Stay away!

I entered a Hirsch store for the first time yesterday and wow! I was so impressed, the staff are all well trained and professional, our Sales Rep, Delano was amazing , his PK across the various brands was excellent. It was immediately clear that he is well trained and naturally talented for sales! After he provided us with the quote he assured us that Hirsch have the best prices (Anniversary sale prices), which I took as a challenge! I am pleased to report that he was absolutely right! I checked with no less than 7 other stores and All the items he’d quoted for , were cheapest at Hirsch. Thank you for remaining a true family run business with personal service

The sales people are not interested in your wants and.needs. They twist the capability of an appliance, and if they see youre not going.to buy immediately they lose nterest and walk away from you. Hard sell is far in the past.people. Ill never go there again.
