The worst experience ever!! we hire a car, someone broke in, stole all our luggage damage the door lock in the process. now we have to pay for that damages. the deposit plus an additional r2000.never once did tempest car try to assist us in the process. all they care about is getting our money.They do not care for their clients, and dont have insurance for something that was clearly not our fault. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
Took over an hour to get our vehicle which was pre-booked. The gentleman helping us was too busy having conversations with other staff to process our booking. Air-conditioning was not working and it was unbearable in there for over an hour.
Do not use this company. They will charge you for existing damages on their cars. Would give 0 if I could.UPDATE: this company will respond on Google asking you to email them to act like they care, however 3 weeks later and after sending them an email with my details, no response from them.

Ive been using this outlet for a number of years now. Sanda and Skhumbuzo are two of the friendliest and most helpful individuals you can find anywhere! We interact almost as friends now but they stay professional and attentive to my needs always. The staff in the back where the vehicles are kept are also extremely helpful and ready to give service with a smile. I recommend this outlet unreservedly!!

I have not received my deposit back yet.. while they said that everything was fine when I dropped of the car. When I try to call them, they do not pick up the phone.

I booked the car for a week but only needed it for four days. I drove from Joburg to Durban via Swaziland and Drakensburg regions completing nearly 2000k. I paid for all waivers on damage screen tyres etc and paid extra for a Sat nav system. The car a small Kia was faultless which was a good thing as no emergency contact numbers had been supplied to me or pointed out.The Sat Nav was 30 months out of date but did find most places. The return address on Google was incorrect but I got a lift from a company driver to the new premises.I was walking as wished to deliver car back early. I asked staff member if I had to clean the car on return. He said no as they cleaned themI used the car in the morning and dropped it off later that day 1300.Now having paid the extra money for damage waivers etc there was a commotion about me returning the car dirty. There was no structural damage and the car had been cared for by me during the 4 days.After many people having the keys off me and moving it to other places I was asked to have it cleaned as it was too dirty for them to Inspect. Remember I have paid all the extra excesses so to me as the customer I wasnt bothered if I had returned it in a box.I went and had it cleaned at extra cost even tho the staff in the office said they would have cleaned it had it not been so dirty.I then wasted more of my day getting it cleaned. I returned it and left.Avis next time and Avis were cheaper......!!!!
