I enjoy Shakas Seat Guesthouse!! This year was my third time visiting since 2012. The best part is the sea view (depending on which room you choose) and that the beach is within walking distance from your location. The main beaches are a 5-minute drive left or right.The rooms are clean, and a definite plus point is the cleaning team keeping the braai and room ready daily (excl Sundays) whilst you focus on your holiday 🌟 The team can perhaps focus on updating some of the linen and towels.Local shops are a few minutes away should you need anything for the braai etc.The area has poor internet signal for cellphones, and the guesthouse, unfortunately, does not have WIFI leaving you stuck with DSTV. (Not sure if people still watch satellite TV 😱) To note, both are entirely unnecessary if the weather ☀️ is in your favour and your kids prefer to read 📚

We have been here from the 30 April 2021 and still loving the atmosphere and stillness.Shakas Seat is truly a lovely guesthouse and a beautiful place.I can recommend this beautiful place to anyone who would like to break away from the rush...

Location is good but there was a lack of maintenance.They accommodate us with a pet friendly cottage.The place has good access to the beach, in walking distance.But.The webber is old and worn out.The place was not properly cleand before our arrival. The roof leaked.Some of the beds were uncomfortable and the bedding were too small for the beds.So if management could address these issues the place would be a great place for a get away.

I have worked remotely from Shakas Seat a number of times over the past few years. The place is beautiful, well-kitted and the staff are super friendly. The views are unbeatable and the shared facilities (pool, etc.) make for a really enjoyable time. Morning walks to the local coffee shop or beach are also a treat. Will keep coming back.

Really pleasant and comfortable stay. Centrally located with nice ocean view from nearly all suites. Units & facilities were exactly as per marketing photos. And the owners & manager Janet really went out of their way to make our suite pet friendly (we travelled with 2 yorkies) by specially putting up a little fence to make it a safe haven. Thanks guys we will be back!!!!

This was truly such a beautiful home away from home. From the time we arrived Janet showered us with excellent service. The Beach Suite is absolutely stunning, within walking distance of the beach entrance. Its central location makes it so easy to get to shops and restaurants. There is a communal pool and braai area (weber and gas). No air conditioning in the unit we had, but the ceiling fan did a good enough job and there is sufficient drag from the large sliding doors. Sufficient privacy from the rooms and self-catering odds and ends in the kitchen make it easy to prepare snacks and meals. Thanks again Janet for making our holiday so special!

Positive: It was clean, airy and spacious, good selection of pots and pans for the little kitchen and Janet couldnt do enough to help.

I have been visiting Shakas Seat for a number of years now. The hosts are always around to make your stay a memorable one. The accommodation is kept clean daily and have never experienced anything but positive memories. The Sea views from the balconies are awesome. Walking distance to the beach.This is a must visit if you have not already.

Negative: We were not given the room we had booked, we were not even provided with tissues and nice services..

We enjoyed our stay very, very much. The rooms are very clean and lovely furnished. The house is closed to the beach. If you need anything, Janet try to make it possible. The stuff is always friendly and helpful. The pool is very nice (including view to the ocean) and the garden is wonderful. Thanks for the great time!

Beautiful rooms with a great location to Shaka’s rock. We stayed in the “business” room which has a lovely Cambridge blue interior. Felt very safe and comfortable our whole stay.

The rooms are fairly small but you wont spend much time indoors anyway with the beach just a 10 minute walk away and restaurants/ pubs nearby.

I just love coming back to this beautiful place!

Positiv: Saubere Unterkunft mit akzeptabler Größe und sehr freundlichem Besitzer. An der Unterkunft gibt es nichts zu meckern, Pool und Kühlschrank zur Mitbenutzung war Vorhanden, schöner, gepfegter Garten und der Weg zum Strand war auch nicht weit. Wifi war auch in Ordnung. Allerdings war kein Frühstück vor Ort zubuchbar. Es gab ein Cafe in Laufweite, aber man musste im Grunde für alles Weitere immer fahren, dies war für uns ein kleines Minus.. Negativ: Infrastruktur.

Positiv: Wunderbare Lage am sehr schönen menschenleeren Strand. Etwas mehr Infrastruktur wäre schön gewesen.. Negativ: Die Straße die direkt vor dem Apartment lag. Man konnte sich jedoch an den Verkehrslärm gewöhnen. Während der Nacht war es ruhig..

Positief: Zeer hartelijke ontvangst door Janet en haar zus. Mooi ingericht en licht huisje met privétuintje. Alles kraaknet. Voor de kindjes is er strandspeelgoed dat ze mogen gebruiken.. Negatief: Enige minpuntje was het te kleine 2-persoonsbed en de (te) zachte matras..

Positif: Superbe emplacement, il faut prendre la chambre la suite avec vue sur mer.

Positiv: Das Studio war schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Meerblick und der Garten.. Negativ: Die Straße, die am Haus vorbei führt, ist stark befahren und ziemlich störend. Ich hätte von den Fotos her eine ruhigere Straße erwartet..

Positiv: Grosszügiges Zimmer, gutes Bett und grosser Balkon.. Negativ: Leider an der Durchgangsstrasse, sehr lärmig. Kein Frühstück..

Positiv: Meerblick seitlich durch Palmen, Zimmer und Bad nett eingerichtet, Lage super, kurzer Weg zur Beach!. Negativ: Zu viele Ge- und Verbote! 2 Palmen behindern ungetrübten Meerblick..
