The best accommodation in Colesburg and along the N1. Friendly staff, cool vibe and comfortable accommodation.

I have been there on 5 occassions.Always enjoyed the stay. However, on the second last visit, no water was available in the shower. On return trip, incorrect reservation was made. Room then allocated had not been propertly serviced.

Passable. For 1 night stay its really doable as a stop over from cape Town to joburg.

Served my father raw chicken. Looked beautiful and then they surprise you with raw chicken. If he gets sick. It will be on you!

Great place for overnight between gauteng and western cape. Aircon a bit noisy as it switches on and off all night for some reason, but you cant do without it in minus freezing night temperatures. Had quality dinner and breakfast available on demand in an in-house restaurant. We booked and paid 30 minutes before arrival via booking.com, and reception already knew about us! Technology is great, so is efficient staff!

Just nice and clean. We stopped for one night, I was pleased the dog could come too. We had everything we needed for an overnight sleep. A special surprise the next morning.

Just stayed one night and it was pleasant but we couldnt lock the sliding door and there wasnt a microwave in the room. The shower also fludded the bathroom. It was clean and neat though and easy to get back on the road. I would also suggest replacing the Ricoffee with something better.

A lovely place to break a long days drive. Clean fresh linen and towels available. Will be visiting again.

My parents stayed over for one night on their way back to Gauteng. Although the unit was neat and clean with an upgraded bathroom. They had no microwave oven (the neighbours did), The kettles plug didnt work and they didnt have hot water. This facility is totally overpriced if you compare it to similar facilities elsewhere in the country. It makes it worse when appliances dont work and you have to take a cold shower.For decades my parents stayed at Merino Inn when they travelled to the Eastern or Western Cape. This was the last time.

Loved it, very clean, well maintained friendly staff, excellent food, excellent service!

As a person who has to use a wheelchair I was rather disgusted that the only wheelchair accessible units are in the luxury section and consequently more expensive. Furthermore, after having phoned beforehand to change the date of our arrival and asked for a chair for me to use in the shower once we arrived no one knew anything about these arrangements.

Excellent halfway stop if youre going through Durban to Cape Town (and vice versa). Rooms are neat and cozy, but expect lots of mozzies and bugs due to the area.Had supper at the restaurant and the food was really delicious, great home cooked style food that was worth the prices.Hope this place stays this way in the future, because I will definitely be using it more often when travelling.

Terrible facilities. Dirty bathroom and broken shower. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention how expensive they are..

Awesome and affordable overnight accommodation just outside of Colesberg. Excellent Karoo meal at there restaurant with a great view over there premises and swimming pool. Save and secure parking during your sleep over. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Very neat place..large spacious rooms with 2 double beds, dstv (deluxe rooms). Child friendly, with a jungle gym, a pool, and springbok on the grounds... there is a restaurant on the premises. The food was ok, but the service was abysmal...

A lovely neat and clean stop over. The kids had a ball stretching their legs and enjoying the fresh air.

A real shame that waiters dont get their tips if added to card payments. Please support them with cash tips

Excellent stopover!! Right by the highway, with very spacious and newly revamped rooms, featuring two double beds and superb bathroom fittings, I thoroughly recommend this stay. The second sitting for dinner is at 7pm and the kitchen closes at 8pm. Room service can be ordered up until 7:30pm. The roast leg of lamb is typical Karoo lamb and really good!! Staff is friendly and efficient. There’s a swimming pool for the kids, lawns to run around on and DSTV. It’s best to call for a room.

We had dinner at te restaurant. Its been a long time since I have had such a wholesome meal. The Accommodations was updated, the bathrooms modern, great quality and value for money, no mess no fuss.

We had an accident last night and was placed at the Merino Inn for the rest of the night the service from the night staff was wonderful and the service from the day staff was also wonderful and our waiter at breakfast Des was wonderful chirpy and full of laughs and help. They understood the surroundings and when we checked in the clerk new that we had an accident our room was warmed up and everything was perfect. Thank you so much for all the help and compassion and the fine treatment that we received. We will certainly recommend you to everybody in future. Kind regards and thanks so much Martie Theron.

Been sleeping over here on trips to and from Johannesburg for AGES.A real motor motel.Pull your car up next to your room.I had a lamb shank with fries at the fully licensed restaurant.All good.Also close to the highway for easy departure.

What a lovely place to stay over with wildlife just outside your door. Kids can enjoy a playground and swim in the summer. Room is basic, but everything you need. I would however not recommend the so called “fillet” that the restaurant has to offer...as its not suppose to be chewy. They also state that the food is freshly made, but two steaks made from scratch can’t take 8min to get to your table since ordering it...just a thought. Nothing wrong with the service or taste though :)

We wouldve given them a 10 out of 5 if we could! An absolutely remarkable stay over. Our son loved every bit of it. The pool was awesome, our room was homey and the food was remarkable! They have lovely play areas for the kids and chicken and antelope enclosures are fun for the kids too. We WILL be back, thank you!

Not a bad place to stop and rest. The rooms were neat and clean, although dont have many amenities besides a TV with limited DSTV channels. Staff overall are friendly. If in a hurry be prepared to wait for breakfast to be served as it can take longer than average.

Had a breakdown and needed a place to crash...a very pleasant stay...very clean...I will 🙏🙏🙏

The staff and management deserves a thumbs up due to the kindness and helpfulness. Great staff and lots of good food the rooms were nice and there was a nice garden showers were clean and pleasant the atmosphere was great even though the weather was bad could do with a new website and new photos.
