Very comfortable and warm (winter visit). Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely shower, delicious warm breakfast served in the room due to the pandemic lock down. Well located (except for the church bell across the road that chimed every 30 min 24/7).We were here without a vehicle due to breakdown, convenient to town centre, shops and services.

They are very Covid19 precaution compliant. Rooms provided a comfortable stay. The food was delicious and generous, both dinner and breakfast.The personnel were all friendly, supportive and helpful.Thanks for a great stay.

Situated in the citrus town of Ceres right next to koue bokkeveld,,,,great staff and very attentive and professional,,,parking is somewhat small,,bathrooms is clean but a wheelchair might find it a bit restrictive ,,well laid out menus,,,great selection of drinks

Good clean spacious rooms and hot strong showers. Air conditioning heater too noisy to warm up room in sub zero temperatures. Suggest winter sheets and electric blankets! Patio tiles at room entrance very slippery when raining!

Upon my arrival on Wednesday morning I was informed that I will be contacted by the Village during the cause of the day to discuss my dinner booking at the guest house. I havent been contacted by anyone during the day. When I arrived at the guest house the evening and enquired about my dinner, I was told that the order had already been given through to the kitchen. I am highly disappointed, they did not even offer to arrange any alternative. Is this how important their guests are to them???? I was told that the matter will be followed up the next day and that they will be in contact, however I have not heard from them since. I was there on a business visit and in the coming months more of our staff members and myself will be visiting our branch in Ceres. Be assured that I will not recommend this guest house to anybody else, nor will I stay there again. Pathetic.

What a great stay. Rooms neat and comfortable. Staff helpful, competent and always friendly. Fireplace and restaurant has a cozy and pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Chef Saul presented beautifully plated and comforting dishes. To all staff here, I salute you.

The service from the staff is friendly and helpful, good and stable Wi-Fi for business people and the food is quite tasty. But that’s about where it stops for me. The rooms are in need of an upgrade. I had a cold shower because the knob of the hot water tap just fell off while I was trying to adjust the temperature. The church bell goes off every 30min, even until late hours of the evening. The Aircon is also very noisy. I won’t be recommending this place.

Best guest house

Spending R1350 per night not worth it at all. I was sooo dissapointed. They need to upgrade their rooms. The outside looks like Eden but the rooms no not worth the price at all

We didnt stay at this venue as we had booked in next door at Porterhouse Eleven. Good food and service at The Village. Thanks for looking after my gluten free dietary requirements. We will be back.

Great place for overnight (or longer) stay. Rooms are very spacious. Lovely large outside courtyard with pool, grass and trees. The only downside is the churchbell (from across the road) that chimes every half hour - may disturb light sleepers.

A bit dissapointed this year. We had the exact same room last year (room 7) and I lodged a complaint about the quality of the mattress. Its sank in the middle and the springs would poke my ribs. Totally dissapointed that they had not replaced the mattress.

In 2015, my wife and I, as a newly engaged couple, we discovered this beautiful village where we stayed overnight. We had a great experience which made us go back this new year again (2016).But this year was not a great experience at all. We arrived there with now welcome feeling at all. It was straight to the room and a half an hour later the managers left the village completely. No manager or supervisor or anny assistance at all. No open place to get n cold drink even, bearing in mind it was a scorching 39 degrees outside.They took away all the shading at the pool area and had one umbrella to share between 11 guests that was booked in. We had to discover for ourselves that there was Wifi and how it worked.I would like to advise anybody that do stay over, to contact only Malvin. This gentleman works at the village now for the last 16years. He help with everything all the time. He interacted with all the guest and made sure that everything was on order.Malvin, thank you for making our stay good. You are by far the best asset at the village. Stay there when he is on duty.

I went to Ceres to see the snow as most travellers did this weekend. The Village was the best accommodation I could find online as I am not used to staying at B&BsWe arrived at about 8pm and the night staff was very friendly and accommodating. I wished I had asked for their names but they know who they are. Our room was a bit chilly as the aircon took a while to warm up if youre arriving at The Village late, ask if they can put the aircon on about 30 minutes before you arrive in winter. The room had a lot of warm blankets which helped. The bathroom was very tidy and clean, please make sure theres a key for the bathroom for future reference, and ensure that the aircon works throughout the night especially in winter as ours stopped at around 5am.Breakfast was delicious, I ordered the village breafast. The night staff was a lot friendlier than the day staff but luckily we werent there for long.All in all, a lovely B&B which I will definitely come back to.

I did not stay at this guesthouse, but had dinner at the restaurant, what was absolute outstanding.For that reason we will book a room in November and have a superb dinner again.

There is another owner in it, who left New Years Eve with everything locked and left us alone with another couple who by the way were also surprised when the owner was away.So there was no more drinking or something like that.So never there again !!!!

Extremely disappointing !! After 5 000 km of travel and several other guesthouses on the route, the guest house is very poor.

They leave you alone, during the Christmas Eve and New Years Eve and that is not nice you have to save yourself.

Hospitable, friendly feel so own. Animal friendly, will definitely go again. Value for money
