I was looking for a very specific board for my Arduino project, and couldnt find it anywhere in the country. Micro robotics not only replied to my email about the part, they also ordered a batch of them from China to have them in stock. (China took 3 months to get them here, but thats hardly Micro Robotics fault). Once they had them in stock I placed my order and the parts were delivered to me before 08h00 the next morning even though I live in a completely different city and province to Centurion. I am very impressed with their range and their willingness to extend that range if they dont have something youre looking for.

Great service and generally stock is good. Unlike other suppliers they actually do give notifications when new stock arrives. Thanks for the great service

Unfortunately a really bad experience. Bought seven Buck converters, does not perform to supplied spec. Dont believe there is any quality control seeing as five were physically damaged in the form of components being broken off and not soldered correctly.

I buy here regularly. They have a great range of prototyping and hobbyist goods on offer and generally at the best price you will find locally. Sadly they struggle to keep up with demand and are often out of stock on things.

They are always willing to help, I had a problem with a E-ink display, and they there to help me out. there prices are good, and there service is amazing.

They are close by so it is easy to pop in but every time I need something they tell me ‘no stock’.

Great to have these sort of places around. Friendly and helpful, sometimes they dont have what you want in stock, but this is true for most shops, even RS Electronics. Website is pretty good as well.

They offer great service, are generous with advice and warn you of the possible GOTCHAS. On one occasion they recommended I dont buy one of their products because they knew that at my level of experience, I would struggle with it.No wonder they have such a loyal customer base... :-)

Efficient service

Worst service I have ever had!I order components and had to beg them to ship it. Once it finally arrived it was the wrong microcontroller, the power supply for the Arduino also did not work. Will never do business with them again, would rather pay the extra money and go to Communica for better service.

Really helpful team with very competative pricing. This place seems to be geared to supporting DIY, hobbiests and prototype development projects. However, even for small scale production you might struggle with reliability or repeatability in processing orders and may want to carefully consider the scalability of projects developed using their standard component offering. If they do not have your component in stock, you may struggle to get it ordered specially so you are kinda forced to stick to the script here. They also are very poor at responding to emails with special enquiries.
