They have Denny and Herbivore plant based products, great to see the variety they have for vegans. My Favourite would be the pick n pay corn & chickpea bites, cant get enough of those. 👌

Pick n Pay Sandwich Ham 4 DAYS PAST expiration date. 4 days.. really, has no-one bothered to look at the ham for over 4 days?!?Why is this on the shelf?Ive been going here since we moved 3 months ago despite the bad reviews. This will definitely be the last time though. No excuse for off meat, especially when you have staff standing behind the bakery counter flat out ignoring you.

My 5 stars goes to the person who baked vetkoeks(Magwinya) on Friday July 30th. Unlike other days when theyre oily or burned.

How is pick n pay headquarters not acting on reviews of the Southdowns branch. They never answer the phone. Only two tills are open at a given time. Terrible customer service! This branch is a disgrace

Staff is not friendly and not willing to assist. not enough staff at tills and bakery. Staff is extremely lazy and work at a snails pace

Really not great service when asking anybody to assist they just either say I dont know or just look at you rudely dont say a word and just walks away.We waited over half an hour for somebody to just assist us with just getting R50 worth of salami.After looking for the manager jaco he just said the staff left early...Would not buy here again

Always a wait at the till. Today, only 2 tills open. Tried to do a cash withdrawal after waiting 20 minutes just to be told they dont have money

100% excellent services

Today was the 4th time I spoke to Jaco, the manager, about the way his staff is wearing or NOT wearing a mask during the covid pandemic. Masks under the noses or the chin then touch their faces and the stock. Today, however, a lady working in the butchery or bakery NOT EVEN WEARING A MASK and then laughs about it. When I brought the matter to Jacos attention he told me that he just came from that section. Obviously, the manger does not take this pandemic seriously.

Wrong or no prices on the shelves. Selling products way over their expiry date at the original price.

This store, the reviews are true, its really terrible. PnP HQ needs to relook at its service been located where it is. They dont answer their phones and they got my grocery order wrong but pocketed the money. Their online service is bad too, takes too long to respond to queries. What a shame

The service I experienced was ok. I do like the openness of the isles. Nothing crowded. Obviously well stocked.

Awful experience. After coming from a long day of work I quickly needed cat food and tonights dinner. Thinking it would be a quick stop seeing that I only had a few things to pick up. Unfortunately that was not the case. After getting my goods and getting ready to pay I stood in an endless que. Understandably seeing that its a Friday evening. After 10 min of waiting inline the cashier decided shes done for the day and left 20 people standing at her till. I then moved to a different till. After waiting another 15 min the lady in front of me wanted the cashier to remove an item from the register seeing as it was scanned twice. The cashier then spent 15 min screaming VOID with no one wanting to help her. I left with nothing bought and feeling dissappointed in pick n pay.Please educate your staff. The service was horrible.

Poor layout of store makes it difficult to shop here. Very poor service and shop experience. Will not go back there.

This is a clean nice looking Pick n Pay but when we were there the shelves were not well stocked.

Horrible . I have been there twice for rugby cards . I have told them once and they don’t seem to listen . They gave me the same cards when I was first there. It is horrible . They do it on purpose

This store recently had a revamp, which looks great. You wont be disappointed by the large variety of goods available at this store.

Has all the goods you need. Is a very clean shop, but.....the service is not up to scratch by a long way. I am at this shop at least 3 times a week, but no more. I will not wait for unmanned counters, while staff look at me and do nothing. This is really disappointing, sorry, but enough is enough.

Although its newly renovated and have good display of products, the staff is quit slow. The shopping experience is fine just annoying at the tills.

Average service - terrable!On 23 March 2017 I was looking for Pecan nuts and have asked two staff members respectively - not one knew what I was talking about. Found it myself eventually to find that some of the 200gr Pecan nutspackets sell by date was 27 Feb 2017 already. When I paid at the till, the price was R10.00 more than the price indicated on the shelf. (R149.99 vs R139.99).Lady at the till was rude & unfriendly.Sorry to say but in general the South Down Centre has downgraded a lot.👎🏻

Most unfriendly and lazy staff and managers I have ever seen. Never there less than 10mins to buy a single item bacause they just stand around doing nothing or just chats with co-workers and looks at me like I am interrupting their conversations when I am waiting there to pay

Your selection is very disappointing

The food they cook is not up to standard, they do not take pride In their work. They feed us salty food, today I bought fish that had scales and and had no taste at all. The other day I bought rotten scones.
