I could not find brown school shoes to fit my daughter at any other shop because she is an in between size. Buccaneers sell half sizes, their prices are good and they have stock. For big/older boys they go up to size 12.5They only allow the parent and child in the shop as space is limited. They only accept cash as payment.

My son needs a very broad shoe with a high instep... We visited the factory shop in the hopes that their siz 12.5 would fit. It didntThey offered to make a size 13and they would be ready next week. They phoned now and they are ready already! That is super service indeed.

Great prices for good quality shoes. Just a pity they wont change their closing times on their website to the right times for the public to know.Since this post they have corrected the published closing times, so no confusion between staff and customers anymore.

I bought a pair of Buccaneers for my son in January 2020 at Checkers hyper Somerset Mall. After just 2 months the one shoe peeled off a whole patch and had to buy him new shoes at Pep stores which he is still wearing. I lost the slip hense i couldnt take it back to Checkers. Im realy disappointed in the quality of the shoes. I spend my whole 12 years of school only wearing Buccs. So i wanted my son to have the same comfort and quality but at last the service and quality had failed over the years.Im now sitting with brand new shoes that i cant do nothing with.

I bought my daughter a pair of the original buccaneers last year at Edgars and the sole came off after about 5 months. When I took it back to Edgars in Canal Walk where I had bought it they refused to help me as I did not have a receipt. I decided to buy another pair at Ackermans this year and the same thing happened. Ive lost hope in the quality Buccaneer is selling. Back when I was in school a pair used to last me over 2 years and it would only outgrow me. I need to buy another pair now but Im scared the same thing will happen. What do I do in this case. Please help me.

Ive been buying buccaneer shoes for years and still do, but the quality has really deteriorated in the last few years. Each of my kids (girls) usually go thru two pairs per year. After four months the soles usually start coming loose so I constantly have to keep glue to stick it back together. They are very comfortable shoes but doesnt last long. When winter comes it causes another problem as these shoes dont keep water out. Just walking on wet walkways makes the shoes wet inside due to the edges below the stitching not being waterproof. It would help immensely if they can make these shoes esp girls shoes more waterproof as this is also the reason why the soles start coming loose after a few months.I really would love to keep buying them but if it doesnt get improved soon I will have to start looking at other brands.

Ive bought a size 8Buccaneer at Big Star store in Parow Sanlam centre...after 5mnths is was peeling and coming loose from the sides...after I ask the owner if it is original Buccaneers???His reply was..yes we dont sell fake...I the got hold of the store...where they say I must bring the shoe in to have a look at it...I did that where this time a different eldery guy..argued with me...and that that they are selling 2types of Buccanneers and that this shoe has got wear and tear on.He ask me what he should do now??and that I must leave his store...ive payed R280...and only last my son for 5mnths...which means 2pairs for a yr??im still unhappy because to how many people they selling this shoes...and to put the cherry on top of the cake...Big Star shops has no garantee on his Buccaneer shoes!!people be aware!!!

I bought a pair of buccaneers at Jet 6months ago for my son of R289. The shoe is peeling near the laces side and look very ugly. I took it back to jet but I dont have the slip now they dont want to change it. But 6 months I am very disappointed in the quality.
