Great spot to relax and unwind. Nice views from the small boat Harbour. Food and service were brilliant. The hake and chips is a large meal, fried with batter, added additional taste. Fish was tender and juicy. The fried calamari is out of this world good. Slightly overpriced however the quality and views more than cover this. Well worth a stop for great comfort food.

Good food and friendly staff. The view is amazing and you can sometimes see seals in the water. It was a little bit windy in the afternoon, even with the glass shutters. But there was a good selection of delicious food on the menu!

Went during the week, so was lucky I got a outside table right by the water. Views of Chapman’s peak and the sentinel. At first I wanted to try the normal fish and chips. But they had freshly caught hake for like R50 rand more. So Decided to opt for the grilled hake. Which was recommended by the waiter. Oh wow . The fish was cooked to perfection. Herbs they rubbed on the outside was crusty and delicious. Highly recommended!

The food is great and always fresh. The menu has a great variety of seafood, sushi, burgers and ribs. The view is spectacular, right on the water, in the harbour. The kids menu is very limited, else I wouldve given them 5 stars.

Very good quality food, especially the prawn and pork ribs specials! It has a very good view of the harbour, the only place were I would suggest improvement is the service. I cant say I was very impressed with the service we received, but overall not a bad experience.

I will go back. Lookout restaurant is sitting next to the harbour, you can sit inside or outside and enjoy a lovely view of Hout Bay. Their coffee was excellent. If you arrive with the Red City bus, walk down the street nearest to the harbour for 100 meters. You can buy gifts from the local people on your way.

Really great tasting food here. Food is fresh. Service was quick and friendly. There is a happy hour special on cocktails as well.I would recommend the prawns and to take the seats outside. The view is great 👍🏻👍🏻 would return !

Wednesday evening dinner for two, restaurant was surprisingly quiet but it is at the end of Januworry. Staff very pleasant and excellent service from Thompson our likeable waiter for the evening, and good conversation with Herman. We came mainly for the excellent fresh cultivated oysters with some Leopards Leap Chardonnay Pinot Noir and ended up having a delicious 3 course meal.Most recommended.Thompson thank you for your excellent service.

We visited the Lookout Deck in Hout Bay for lunch.The overall experience was great. Our waiter Courage was excellent. He was attentive and did enough to make us feel valued.The food was excellent. My wife had a lamb pizza and I had the burger. Both very good.The location of the lookout deck is beautiful. The view of the harbour and mountains are stunning. You may even see a few seals.The manager Gareth came and checked on us which was nice.Great service, great location, great food.

Stop here for early dinner. Great view of yachts.Great service provided.I had prawns with peri-peri sauce. It comes with choice of rice or chips. It took me awhile to finish 12 pcs of big prawns. This is a beautiful place, sitting outside facing the water or even inside you get a nice view. All the Covid protocols are in place and you are getting welcomed by friendly staff. Our waiter was also the best! We had fast, efficient services. My little boy also immediately got helped with a baby chair and I didnt even have to ask for one!Definitely highly recommend this place and will definitely go back there for the amazing food and service!

If fresh fish is what you want, stay away from this place. The fish and chips was bad, the fish was definitely frozen for a long time. The sushi I ordered wasnt great either, the seaweed was old and chewy. I use to love this place, but the quality has gone down

Kitchen and bar closed at 7:30 (curfew is at 12) and the drinks are extremely expensive!! Would not recommend!!!!

Was before best Fish and chips in Town. Unfortunately not any longer . Last visit just before a Xmas, Fish was not fresh catch it was from frozen box and twice small then before , lemons wedges was reused rice was stick to lemon. No more going back there. Lost customers 😒

Meals average R150-200. It is relatively pricey, but worth it with massive portions, friendly staff and stunning view of the harbour and mountains! Great for the family.

Lovely fish food restaurants right on the harbour front. Short seal watching cruise leave from here too.

The setting is idyllic, overlooking the ocean and boats and smelling the business of the harbour in the air.We were part of a group of patrons and Covid protocols applied.Some members of the group had sushi which was apparently excellent. Thats where this review should end.For the prices charged, the Paris Steak and Kingklip my wife and I had, it was beyond disappointing. Medium steak ordered, but the steak was actually medium-well and tough(ish). My Kingklip (fish) was raw at either end. No apology and I had to ask if it was raw (note I didnt ask for a replacement of anything) and the response was just the manager says its because its fresh. Note to self: Cooked fish is translucent because its fresh.The drinks are off the chart expensive. 1 glass of LA Motte Savignon Blanc for R65. A bottle costs R90 at Spar.Would be difficult to get me/us back there very soon.

Very nice place with the food and view very nice. It is a shame that the service is not as great. We had to wait very long to get our order in and when we asked for service no one every came. I even had to go to the front and ask for help but they didnt do much. Really a shame when so many places are closing and this place has everything to offer and they are missing the basic points.

The food was good..had the oysters for starters..R10 each in special..fish and chips wax lovely and crispy..and the prawns on special was also good..except the beer on tap for the guys was warm the first 2 rounds..service was good..waitress was attentive.
