100+ stars and counting for the amazing experience at Andalousse Seapoint. Fully Halal restaurantMy hubby and I have wanted to visit Andalousse for the longest time. Happy we did it!I was excited to try Moroccan food, he was thinking it would be like Turkish food, Wow a most pleasant and exciting surprise, for both of us, nothing like Turkish food, much better flavour in Morrocan food. We enjoyed the bursts of flavour of Andalousse taking us on a real food journey. The restaurant is cosy, you could imagine that you were in Morocco. Dress up or down, the place is so comfy, with sofa like seating, perfect for crowds or couple dates, they have a little private booth near the till area, also have many cosy seperate sections, a hookah section as well, hidden at the back of the restaurant, out of sight.10% is added to the bill, it is totally worth the service and experience. The waiter politely explained the menu and his recommendations were chosen, without regret. To start we ordered the medium Mint tea, this was brought to the table in an authentic Moroccan style kettle and tray, poured by the waiter, with style, into two mint filled glasses. Mmm, a lovely tea, adding to our experience. Wow. Tea was served with a plate of complimentary cookies, each with their own unique flavours, no ordinary treats. No need to order desserts, they are dessert starters, served with your order of mint tea.Next was the lamb tegines , we ordered the first two on the menu, really lamb shank supremes, oh my word, flavorsome, wholesome, both shanks were cooked to perfection in a stew sauce that was a meal in itself. The sauce was bursting with flavour and came together so beautifully, mine with prunes, nuts, carrots, sesame and lamb shank.1 portion of tegine can serve 2 people, it was served with the lightest, fluffiest, softest, rooti, nothing like any Cape Town rootie, we ordered an extra one. Next time we will order 1 tegine and order another different type of meal with it, as the shank portion was a good size, more than enough to go around. The second Tegine we ordered, was a curryish flavour, not hot, flavourful, no chillies, thank goodness. Both tegines were so perfect. We sat near the waiters desk, opposite a big screen and watched a Moroccan food tour video, wow, I loved that experience. The food served and the restaurant style was truly Morrocan. This place is perfect for a date, family meeting, a party or work function.10 out of 10 for all the elements, coming together, everything you want when going out:Halaal, parking availability, street parking, waiter service, menu, ambience, food flavour, portion size, dessert cookies, overall experience and employee welcome and friendliness. All deserving of the best rating.

People were friendly, the guy gave us time to settle in before bringing the Manu to us, took our order, gave advise, but the food was tasty and presentation was good . I felt like someone who was in Morocco at the time. I will definitely pop in again to try another dish. To me it was a different atmosphere and so relaxing. I already told my friends about this restaurant.

One of the best halal restaurants in Cape Town! Yes I said it.Our dining experience at Andalousse was nothing short of fantastic. From the kind and caring service, to the best value for money for delicious food, this is the place to be. Only have one warning: portion sizes are MASSIVE!Youve been warned 😋We had our Fathers day lunch and left with a more than satisfied father. The food was absolutely delicious and made us want to visit Morocco herself 😁 The decor gives you a taste of Morocco and they even have prayer facilities available!Thank you Andalousse for such a wonderful experience and your kind hospitality. We cannot wait to come back!

A lovely restaurant that make one feel like you’re really dining in Morocco. The soup and peppermint tea is my absolute favourite... it’s nothing short of delicious. The tea is served with lovely cookies which are not too sweet and compliments the peppermint really well. The seating area is colourful and the back of the restaurant which is the smoking area is really relaxing too. The staff is friendly and service was good.

Great Authentic Morrocan cuisine. This branch in Sea Point is much more spacious than the Woodstock branch and is perfect for groups and lounging with a Sheesha pipe.

Great food, enjoyed the Tajine lamb shank. Tasty. The reason I gave a four star is that the decor could do with some upgrades.

The food definitely gets 5 stars! If you want to try something different from the norm and looking for authentic Moroccan food, this is the place to visit. It is strictly halaal, so a big plus for me. You might just miss it as it is quite hidden and is very quaint in decor, but I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

Andalousse serves amazing authentic Moroccan food. The portions are large and great for sharing. I personally would recommend the vegetarian cous cous, the cheesy bread and the plate of Mezze. I personally do not eat meat but the rest of my table devoured the lamb tagine, and were delighted how the meat fell off the bone. Unfornately the server who was attending to my friends and my table was really unfriendly and made us feel rather unwelcome whenever we asked him anything. The manager of the place was much nicer though and that is why I am keeping my 4 star review. There are also no hookah pipes available as of yet, but I do hope that will be available soon. But still a great place to visit nonethelessOne thing to keep in mind when visiting Andalousse is that they in Sea Point just off one of the main roads so parking can be a bit of hassle to find and you might need to park on one of the side streets if you are driving there.

I really want to give 0 stars because i am Morrocon and i am very disappointed at the time of breaking my fast. The food was very disappointing not Morrocain standards at all.The soup was over powered with tomato paste and the the chicken tagine with olives and lemon was terrible with pieces of carrots and chips definitely not authentic Morrocan and not to mention the bread that was totally sour with a strong smell of yeast overpowering the actual taste of the flat bread. The owner was very very unfriendly and unwelcoming, for us it was a first and last. Really nothing to do with Morrocan cuisine. Atika

So lets get straight to the point to why weve given this a 1 star - First of all, it took 30 minutes to just get our tea, they forgot about our Avo smoothie which took even longer so we decided to cancel it as they were wasting our time.Secondly, our food took AT LEAST 1 hour and when we inquired about when our food will arrive - they lied to us and told us 5 minutes... it took another 15 minutes (So 1 Hr 15 minutes) where we were just about to just cancel our order and walk out until our food just magically appeared out of nowhere. Our moods was just put off that we didnt enjoy the food/experience, there was no manager on the floor, there was only 2 waiters waitering and probably only 1 chef to cook for 20+ people that were at the restaurant at the time. Its sad that the owner of the place doesnt seem to care much about his/her lack of service and quality of service, we werent even compensated for the time they wasted making us wait, its a real shame actually and I would not recommend going here on a busy day as they already have problems with service on a quiet day.Trust me, there are better places to eat here in Cape Town with 10x better service.

A rating of 1 Star is being generous.Service: Poor - we entered the restaurant and there was no host to greet or usher us to a table upon arrival.Decor: it’s uncomfortable.Food: Terrible - we ordered the lamb tjine, the lamb shank is supposedly slow cooked. We received our order within 10 mins. - we were prepared to wait. The food was cold, we sent it back and it got re-heated in the oven. The food was oily, the carrots were sweet and had a strange gelatinous texture. The potato and bread was decent. Because the food was unappetizing, we didn’t finish our meal. Later the evening my friend and I, became unwell, And therefore I would strongly not recommend this restaurant.Price: it’s expensive for low quality food and very poor service. This restaurant is halal.

This review is way overdue. When Andalousse opened in Woodstock, I fell in love with the authentic food and equally the hospitality. And when I heard that they opened a bigger branch in Sea Point I was delighted as clearly the public was appreciating this gem as much as me.My dad turned 60 in August and seeing as though he visited Morocco and loved it for the exact reasons I grew fond on Andalousse (food &hospitality), it was only fitting that we celebrated here. The owner was travelling at the time, but helped me put together a party for 50 via email within a week! His more than capable manager and staff executed our party with such ease and grace. And as expected, the food was freshly made, delicious and bountiful! Our family and friends were thoroughly impressed and more importantly so was my father:)Will recommend Andalousse over and over.....

It looked like you would pick up a disease in it. It was disgusting.
