Great food and specials! I had the burrito with beef and it was delicious. I got the any two burritos for R110 special thinking that I will eat the second one later... Later turned out to be five minutes later, after I had devoured the first one :DStaff is really friendly and helpful and obviously talented in the kitchen. Plus there are churros!!!

Good quantity, amazing food. The best mexican I had in Capetown. The burritos were so tasty and the chilli poppers were to die for. We came for lunch and ordered for dinner too. The host was very welcoming. Definitely will visit if Im in the area. Thank you for the amazing food.

I absolutely LOVE coming here. The food is always fresh, fragrant and delicious. Ive driven past Didis so many times and I eventually decided to stop and go inside.Best decision ever!Since going there for the first time beginning of July, Ive been there more than 7 times. My absolute favourite on the menu is the grilled hake tacos 😻😻 and the warm crispy sweet churro balls. Such a treat!Keep up the good work, team!

Always had delicious food from here. Their chilli poppers are awesome. The enchiladas are large and make my mouth water just at the thought of having them. Definitely recommended.

Lots of ingredients, very little flavor.I ordered the chipotle chicken burrito, which wasn’t bad, just bland.And also the chipotle chicken tacos, which were not good at all. The chipotle chicken itself was dry and lacked flavor.

Delicious vegan options and THE BEST vegan Poppers in town!

The first time we went to Didis the food was amazing! Couldnt wait to go again!! Last night we git the nachos, which had NO chicken on it (last time there was plenty). Tacos were also not as great as last time.Nervous to try again..

My first experience with Didis, most definitely wont be my last! I was very pleasantly surprised by the food, it is tough to find high quality Mexican food in Cape Town, the dishes were generous, delicious and excellent. The Nachos we 10x better than any other Nachos Ive tasted from anywhere else. The hard shell tacos filled with chicken and topped with cheese and pickled onion we out of this world. Great balance of flavour and heat. I cannot fault my experience here. My expectations have been exceeded. I am already planning my next order!

Disappointing service. I ordered Fiesta Fries specifically because the menu says they are Sweet potato fries I dont eat regular potatoes which have many times-fold the simple starch carbs than sweet potatoes. But when I got home I saw that Didis had given me ordinary potato fries - much cheaper for the restaurant to buy than the advertised sweet potatoes (and much less tasty). But not only had they not told me this when I ordered but they charged me the same price! When I called they said that they didnt have any sweet potatoes which is odd because they are available in abundance. Worst off all they did not offer me so much a a cool drink to compensate. Otherwise, the food was okay but we wont be returning.

Im rooting for this place & I hope its successful, though I think there are a couple of things they could do to make it that much better.It seems like most people get takeaways, but its a nice spot to sit. Its hard to resist the cute little tables in the afternoon sunshine. But they need to install some better ventilation – we walked out of there smelling like fry-cooks.We had tacos and enchiladas, and the tacos were a little more exciting & flavourful. Also, the enchiladas are heated & served in those aluminium blikkies, which give every bite a bit of a metallic zing.So, a few tweaks and Didis could be great. As it is, its already a nice neighbourhood joint.

Ordered their Chili con Carne and after paying R70 for it, I received a quantity that Im quite sure most people would only begrudgingly pay R40 for.

One of my favourite taco place in cape town. Good quality ingredients flavourful. Just disappointing the guac is not included(as it is a staple ingredient in Tex Mex) and that you need to pay extra for it...

Food is really tasty and well balanced. The menu is well put together. Spacious and child friendly. Only one unisex toilet though.

We have Didis Mexican at least once a week, if not twice. Mainly due to their incredible chilli poppers, hard shell tacos and quesadillas (havent managed to get pass those and try the rest). The food is always delicious and great value for money. Tonight we had the best poppers ever: large, crispy and full cheesy goodness!! See you soon!

Ordered in- I had 2 chicken tacos and 2 beef quesadillas. The food tasted amazing! Really good, and wholesome, great presentation for takeout and it felt authentic. My only negative is the portion size- simply too small for the price you pay. This isnt cheap takeout, so you want to feel satisfied after your meal. I was left feeling hungry. For that reason, I wouldnt order again unless portion sizes increased. Fix that and I would recommend you to anyone!

Great place. Pricy but worth it. Really amazing flavours and really fresh ingredients. Chilli poppers and quesedillas are the standouts. Try the chipotle sauce they sell in store.

Really tasty food and very friendly. I think one improvement could be advertising as I only stumbled across it when walking past.

Heres the difference - quality quality quality. There is a lot of love in this grub. The El Hefe portions are insane - chuck in some poppers or nachos and one El Hefe can feed two comfortably. Some of the best poppers Ive ever had. Next time those churros are mine!
