I popped down after calling Annameria and Laverne for a blanket. They assisted me immediately for an old man on the street. Bless you everyone for helping those who want to help themselves. This is owned by people who fear God. As God said in His word lets make a man according our image and our likeness. They are changing lives of those who are less privileged. In Gods presence no rich neighter poor we all the same. I love this place.

They have a great coffee shop that serves a really great cupaccino. They have a good selection of hot and cold drinks and sweet and savory eats. The also have a really good selection of very good clean second hand clothing in really good condition and at great prices available for sale. All proceeds go to the Night Shelter. A very good experience to a really good clean and well kept Shelter. A visit is highly recommended.

The Somerset West Night Shelter is an amazing place! love the enthusiasm and dedication of the staff and volunteers. This place has a heart to love and care for people.They provide more than just food and a place to sleep in, which is so important! They integrate and provide a helping hand to their clients in order for them to find their feet within the community and society.

I have been involved with the Somerset West Night Shelter now for over 10 years and even though at first I found that a greater effort was needed, I always sensed genuine care for those under their roof. Over the years my involvement and time invested has grown, the shelter has crept so deeply into my heart, I love going there, love being with the people, the staff, those they serve. The atmosphere is amazing and the work they put in is beyond a job, they give of themselves for the betterment of others.

The Somerset West Night Shelter is a place of safety for all who are in need. They provide a safe, clean and friendly place to help you start over again. The staff is friendly, and welcoming and one can immediately feel the family environment amongst their clients. Well done to the staff and management for their hard work, dedication and love clearly shown to all.

Im yet to come across another organisation like the night shelter that doesnt just provide a place for the homeless to sleep but who also through the hard work and dedication of the staff who do everything they can to provide the clients an opportunity to walk away with their hope and dignity intact! Well done to all the staff and volunteers for making this a place where the homeless wont remain hopeless!

Not a place of refuge, for honest, hardworking individuals who are unwilling to adapt to a lifestyle of deceit and abuse of the charity of others, restful sleep is an alien concept and the leaders have no interest in getting to the root of problems, they are merciless and set in their ways, your belongings arent safe and your place is so temporary that you have no certainty, that you will sleep in a bed or have shelter much longer.best to just insist on all components of the care package and go to some inhospitable or distant place where criminals are disinclined to go.
