Very disappointed in this place. I am still stuck in a back and forth about my refund 6 weeks later. They keep saying its in process when I query it.

Whilst I know we have a global pandemic and hotels are fighting for survival, this only heightened the very very poor customer service I have received. On 5 occasions during the last three months, I have tried to reschedule our trip from this coming New year to the next. It was met with either a failure to reply or putting obstacles in the way rather than finding a solution. The upshot is that I am a £1000 out of pocket and in effect this has been stolen from me! Highly unprofessional

The location and apartment condition is great BUT the cleaning lady stole money from my pocket. It was not a lot but still I reported the issue during my stay in January and the receptionist said there will be an investigation and feedback via email. I checked multiple times via email but got NO feedback at all! I am sure there a lot more better places to go where you feel more safe.

Enjoyed the mini getaway however, the neighbours kept on going in and out of their apartment, slamming the doors. Only 1 duvet on the king size bed, with no electric blanket. Im chronically cold, if I was alone I would have frozen in the night. It was also not specified when I booked that they took the plugs out of the bath due to water restrictions (which I would have understood if it was specified)The views are amazing, close to camps bay strip,

Absolutely breathtaking. One of the most stunning places I stayed in in South Africa. Definitely a place I will visit again. The garden and the view makes you want to spend all day at the apartment. This apartment is perfect for holidays or business travels.

I found the crystal apartments really bad value for money, when spending £190 per night I expect high standards and that we defiantly didnt receive. Ill note down my concerns one being the most frustrating. We arent usually ones to moan but this was defiantly a bad experience and the worse place we stayed on our travels in Cape Town.1. The bedding and towels get replaced every 3 days, we stayed for three nights so didnt get any fresh towels or bedding, the pool area do not provide towels or access to water so bare that in mind if you are not bringing your own towels, travelling from the UK we didnt have space to pack towels also. 2. They provide really small black plastic bottles of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (we didnt get any body lotion) these also only get replenished every three days (the bottles are really small and will be used after one shower if there are two of you) we asked on the second day if they can provide us with some body lotion they said no as they only provide it once but we actually didnt get any (so again bare this in mind if you do not bring your own they are very tight) 3. We stayed Thursday-Saturday three nights and on the Friday night Cape Down had a power cut (apparently this happens allot in Cape Town but it was our first experience of it) we had no light or electric and no message from the hotel or telephone call to let us know around 04.00am that night a alarm woke us both up we figure out it was coming from the fridge as their was a power cut this happens as the fridge resets (thats what the receptionist told us) we had a terrible nights sleep and the FOH staff even had the cheek to say you look tired are you okay 4. There is no headboard and we both hit our head on the wall behind us when waking up on many occasions. 5. In the kitchen the extractor fan is really low and we also hit our head on this, this is a massive health and safety issue and can cause an accident . 6. If you are a coffee drinker and need a cover once you wake up you will be very upset that they do not offer any capsules for the coffee machine on display in your room you need to purchase these at reception (Crazy I know considering you are paying £190 a night) they offer a filtered coffee for free which is probably the worse coffee i have ever tasted.7. When we arrived their was someone else tooth brush and tooth paste on show it was a blue tooth brush and as my partner has a blue tooth brush she thought this belong to her and almost used it, the room also smelt like it hadnt been cleaned especially in the kitchen area there was some horrible smells coming from the kitchen cupboards, Id defiantly recommend that the Crystal hotel deep clean all the cupboards 8. Checking out, when checking out we asked if there was anywhere we could shower in the hotel later on in the day as check out was at 11.00am and our flight wasnt until 9.00pm and we wanted to spend the day down at the beach, the response we got was no there is not anywhere you can shower or get changed but you are welcome to use the pool shower- we ended up going to the airport early and paying 500 RAMS each to check into the airport lounge to shower this was a luxury and a nice thing to do but if the hotel had showers we could use we would of saved this money. So also bare this in mind if you have a late flight home.9.. We spoke to FOH lady and expressed our concerns she couldnt offer nay compensation even after mentioning all of the above but she did however send us up 2x fresh towels as we moaned that they were dirty and had used them by the pool but wouldnt send us any body lotion (even though we hadnt received any) as you know it cost very little to offer a body lotion especially at that size.To end this review on a high the rooms do provide an amazing view from the balcony of the apartments, and parking is convenient as they have their own under ground car parking but please note this is also a residential block and easy to get lost when looking for the pool and reception.

Apartment and view was beautiful. Friendly staff. Bed is uncomfortable and one thin blanket provided even though room gets cold at night. Can hear people in the passage and doors open/close early in the morning and at night. Besides that, we absolutely loved the stay.

We spent 4 nights here. Our apartment was lovely and very well decorated. We found the apartment cold despite having heaters and when it rained outside, water seeped into the corridor outside of our room which was a bit worrying. A nice stay overall in a good location and providing nice views of camps bay

Brilliant Apartment-Hotel. Rooms have everything you need (like freige,TV and washing machine) with a fantastic view over camps Bay. Very clean with a great room-service. Underground car parking is available. Highly recommend.When we arrived we first got a really bad room with a strong smell of chlorine and cigarette smoke which was also smaller than the one we booked (were give a studio instead of a luxury Appartement). We asked for another room and were shown a very big luxury-Appartment for 4 persons. A little later we were told that we could not be upgraded to that room and instead got another 2 persons room which was just perfect!I recommend to really double check if the room you are given is the one you booked (esp. Studio/luxury Appartement)

Well situated, great apartment well stocked. Great pool and also close to the beach although the walk back is quite heavy going.

Felt very unsafe. There were people with Covid when our family was there. No security to make sure they abided by rules!

Great views spoiled by disgusting housekeeping:The views from this place are great but the housekeeping unfortunately spoiled the whole experience for us. As we walked into this supposed 4 star apartment we were greeted by a pungent smell. The smell was coming from soiled nappies stuffed into the bedside drawer of one of the rooms. The carpet in the lounge was also filthy. When we complained about the nappies all we got was a generic apology, how disappointing.

Brilliant seaview offering beautiful sunsets, comfortable king bed. Needs acomfortable lounge suite, and a dressing table/desk in front of the mirror in bedroom. Some cushions for thr outside furniture would have been a plus. And Dickson at front was most helpful 😊

When we checked in the guard was unfriendly and reception staff were terrible. Nomvulo who serviced the room was amazing as well as the 2 maintenance managers who fixed our water in the room. No shuttle available to take us to The Bay Hotel for breakfast. Overall I wouldnt stay there again!

Nicely appointed, and well located , however there is a strong breeze 35 km/HR blowing outside and the apartment leaks like a sieve with badly fitted doors and windows.The whole place is whistling Dixie.

My son forgot his pair of sneakers at that establishment when we left. We left the place on Sunday around 3:50 AM . When he called back today they claim not to have any knowledge of the shoes. To say Im disappointed would be an understatement of the century

Nice, clean accommodation that needs modernization at second glance.We had rented a two-room apartment. At first glance you enter a luxurious apartment. Bright, clean, modern, great view. At second glance, the cleanliness, the brightness, the look and the size remain. However, the carpet could be replaced, fittings are loose and broken. Part of the equipment seems to be getting a bit old. The air conditioning is not repaired even after two complaints at the reception.Overall we had a nice stay and you get really good accommodation. However, the price-performance ratio leaves something to be desired. More appearance than being.After a modernization and a little more attention to detail, there might be one more star in it.

We stayed in an apartment for 2 nights and felt very comfortable. The good location to visit Signal Hill / Lions Head or Table Mountain is worth mentioning, as you are quickly on the main road. The view could be better, but we were on the 1st floor, so you cant expect too much.We also liked the existing underground car park. During our stay there were 2 positive corona cases. We would be informed immediately and we were offered to change accommodation. Good reaction!Of course, the accommodation is also quickly on the beach at Camps Bay. The apartments were very clean and modern. You have everything you need (except an extra dining table, but only a counter)In summary, a very good price-performance ratio!

The Crystal is a great apartment that we can only recommend to anyone. The location is great, underground parking available, rooms are very large and clean. Nothing is missing here. The staff are very friendly. We would like to come again :-)
