My very first time here. I know about this place for a long time but never thought of going in. Not a big store at all. They do have a joinery at the side of the building. I went to get a quote for build in cupboards. Sale person very helpful. He knew his job well. While he was busy with my quotation I browsed around the store. I must say the products are limited. Prices not bad. They are competitive with certain goods. I was absolute shocked to see how expensive the wood is that they cut for build in cupboards. They were at least R400 more expensive on one cupboard. I did already commit myself to buy there. This will however be my last time. They are open the festive season.

Why go to Timbercity Somerset West? Because they will do small cutting jobs for you and have the boards ready in about 3 days. The other board-cutting shops charge about the same price, but they will let you wait much longer, especially if it is a small job (because the big contractors are their main clients).Also Timber Citys staff are professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

Sadly the staff are predominantly Man United fans (James, Deon & Ryan) but the service from them was beyond superb. I requested a large number of wood cuts all of which were understood and calculated with precision. Although extremely busy, they fitted my job in without issue. Very good.

We cant cut your wood now. Youll have to come back tomorrow morning. I pay, come back the next day at 13:00. Still not cut. Asked to wait 20min. Actual cutting only takes them 5min. So I waited an entire day cause they were fully booked. Retrain whoever is managing this department of your store. Your products are good quality and your staff is knowledgable and happy to assist and even help you with measurements.

Always a pleasure to visit my local Timber / hardware store where i get exceptionally good service from James. Quite frankly the new extension of building to cutting room makes for a spacious long overdue improvement. In my opinion as a client here for over 12 years this efficient business is a 1000x better than Builder Warehouse which is over priced and service non existant. The best kept secret in Somerset West. Please share amongst other cabinet makers and DIY users like myself, they deserve our support.

They messed up the edging and sizing on my order, I have tried to phone them several times. All I get is an automated system asking me to hold. Then, it hangs up after waiting for a few minutes. This is not acceptable. I have been trying to call you about your mistakes for more than 30 minutes.

Custom wood cutting: keep in mind that you still pay for the whole sheet even if you require a small size. Friendly, fast and accurate. They cut the melamine chipboard, the one coated with white or other designs, with the double blade so it is not chipped from the side opposite the blade
