Sept 11. Very helpful staff .May 26 . Wonderful, helpful service. Great advice from the young man working the gas heaters dept. I bought a gas heater ( R1,000 ) and had two gas bottles refilled. The extremely helpful guy who carried the heater and the gas bottles to my car must have been even older than me ! He did a great job.April 27. Great , pleasant and helpful staff member at the electrical department. He explained to me how I can set the timer which I bought yesterday.Brilliant , very helpful staff member . Much larger inside than it looks from outside. A great shop .

Plumbing section has a woman who knows her stuff. Im never disappointed. It just saves time and money when the staff know the products. Just a breeze to get in and out. Get the card for discount.

Yesterday my partner asked me to get a few things from Brights. Let it be know that I know nothing about the world of DIY, building stuff, painting nor plumbing etc.The store layout is soo helpful. Each section has a title floating above, BOLD enough for someone who has a visual impairment to see :)The staff are amazing!!! I walked in, showed the two gentlemen at the painting section what my partner sent me for and they just ran around gathering the items for me.Unfortunately the colour of paint my partner needed was not in stock at their store, but shu shu shu an amazing human named Shawn decided to call the other stores and find out where they have.I gave my details and this morning was called by Shawn to say that my items are ready for collection.Shawn and his team went over and beyond the call of duty.Assisted me with my new list this morning and even realised that yesterday when I paid for all the items, that one item was recorded twice on the slip. I would have never realized this.A huge shout out to Shawn and the rest of the staff at Platterkloof Brights. Thank you for your helpful, kind, warming spirits who made this completely lost soul Hahahahha get home with all the correct items.They even went as far as to personalise the paint which I collected this morning.My heart is fulled with love for the staff at this store.Thank you, Baie dankie. The first staff member i encountered was more interested in her own cell phone messaging than anything else, and bluntly ignored me. When I asked her for assistance, she was not too keen to help. She pointed me to what I needed, and hastily disappeared again.A second staff member marched up and down speaking loudly on her phone, also ignoring me.A third guy just hung over a nearby counter like a sack of potatoes and he tried with great success to act blind. He never even saw me, and therefore could not offer any assistance.I reluctantly offer 1 star on this review as it wont allow me to give a lower rating.

Superlative superior service was given by Yazeed in the POWER TOOLS section of BRIGHTS PLATTEKLOOF yesterday I was undecided & just comparing prices with Builders, so the sale was because he was so helpful!Also very importantly, he was not patronising to a female. This young man will go far.Ps.Why is it so difficult to bring good sales people to the attention of their superiors? The QR scan code complimentary system given is not suitable for all babyboomers who are not all nec completely pc literate!
