Very crowded good place to make friends not so much gym as they did not like to turn on air conditioning when I went. They would rather opt to open doors. There are also many lines to machines which does not work well while exercising. Treadmills are always full practically allow intense cardio machines. Toilet doesnt smell sanitary speaking about the mens. Staff are also mostly there to receive full pay because they serve no purpose in the gym beside signing you up.

Utterly disappointed. 1 star seems like too muchAs a first time member, I would NOT recommend this gym to anyone. I have been warned by many of the ZoneFitness sales reps that are just in it for the commission. The sales reps do not explain the contract properly and if things go south, they decide to get themselves out of the equation regardless of the damage done.The gym itself was very unsanitary and messy, many of the equipment was out of order or it would be laying around. There were not enough stations where sanitizer could be available DURING A PANDEMIC.Once again, I would NOT recommend.

I have an account with Zone Fitness, I pay them by the 28/29 of each month and they are still charging me late fees, because as per Samatha at their accounts department they dont get the updated fees from the Head Office everyday, so although I am paying before the 1st they are charging me a late fee. So I pay every month on these dates, but not charged each month only when they receive it late from their head office, I know I paid late in June, as somehow I missed it, but July was on the 28th, so charge me for that. Should this be their member issue if paying on time? I am sure the date my payment reflects shows with their headoffice?Is this their way of making up for lost income due to covid? So cancelling this worthless club. They have no really heafoffice to speak of either, so if you have a complaint you need to log it on the and wait for a reply. How does a heafoffice not exist???

As a new member I was not shown around the gym I had to find my own way. The sale consultant that signed me up did not evens ask howz my time at the gym thus far, I guess its all about sales. Other than that the gym itself is good, hygienic, etc.

Great gym, but they need to be strict when it comes to controlling the gym, strongly referring to the COVID - 19 measures. They need to increase their wiper roll and detergents bay and make sure their are refilling the detergents and replace the wiper roll. I am afraid it is not taking COVID - 19 measures seriously . The must go and learn from one of their gym in Willowbridge.

Enough facilities to reach your training and fitness goals. staff is friendly the vibe allows you to focus on your own goals and people respectable towards your space. five stars if they had a pool.

Great gym.. new equipment

With the lockdown it is very tense at the gym. There is no vibe like there use to be. Hopefully things changes after lockdown. Over all the equipment is great as well as hygiene facilities.

I enjoy visiting Wesgate Zonefitness Gym.

Covid regulations were followed, very safe and it wasnt full at all. The staff are very helpful and they all wore masks and santised the equipment regularly.

Exceptionally friendly staff and good atmosphere overall. Far better than Muizenberg, horrible gym and terrible OPS Manager, no wonder it looks tacky and has a negative atmosphere but thats due to the Management and staff.

No aircon

3 years ago my initial contract finished and as explaining to the consultant when requesting that they do not extend my contract I work away and will not be able to use the gym all the time and will be wasting my money. The consultant then tells me noooooo dont worry if you need just call in and we will freeze the account till you come back. Me following protocol called in to freeze my account as he told me I can do and me paying a monthly cash fee was unaware that the staff at zonefitness did not do so. I then return to the gym with a note that I am behind on payment. Just there and then I decided not to go back but spoke to the lady in accounts who told me I will have to pay the amount. Today an agent from the lawyers contacts me saying I need to pay an amount that is worth a years contract and no gym I phone is open so I can go and sort this out. I will not recommend any person run after cheap gyming when they cannot follow protocol that their sales consultants promise. Rather pay double and get a gym that does what they promise.

I would like to know why payments are being deducted when we are not even utilising the facility due to covid. This is stealing how is zone giving back to us but taking money without providing a service.

Zone fitness westgate mall is the pits the aircon had been broken for a long time an it does not seem like anyone is planning on fixing it, when you ask to make an appointment with the manager they take your details but no one ever gets back to you with any feedback.

I just arrived at a close door on Saturday afternoon. I just recently joined and it is frastrusting bacause it is even a struggle to get in the gym during the week. Can some please forward me the opening and closing times Monday to Saturdays?

I think most of us waste our gym membership fees. Would be great if you structured better packages, example for the person hitting the gym once or twice a week. This will also help the pocket of many and to not have the contracts so long, but 3 months or a pay as you go system. Would be really great and bring more customers to join.

Not a bad gym at all. Its spacious, has plenty of equipment. Even during peak times of the day there is still enough equipment and I never find myself waiting for to use equipment. Unlike the tiny and cramped workout spaces at Virgin Active across the road.I do think the staff could be more professional at the front desk, as well as some of the instructors. Also, whats up with the depressing, slow music that gets played. Kills my workout vibe.

Nice gym. Better than promenade

Out of the three ZF gyms I have experienced, this is the best one. Better than the one in Rondebosch and Cape Town. Its never really full and the equipment is top notch with variety. Excellent.

A place where health and fitness freaks workout. Some have their personal trainers at an additional cost of course. The dedicated one, myself excluded, have achieved their goals. A plus is making new acquaintances, those who encourage and motivate.Staff are very professional, always friendly, effective and efficient. I once had a problem, it was resolved amicably.It is situated at Westgate Mall, which is situated along Weltevreden and Morgenster. It is safe, but during this year/a year ago MTN was robbed. This does not occur often.Sufficient parking. Car guards patrol the parking area.

I wish they would stop playing sport on all 3 tvs. Everybody is not into watching sport all day everyday. Throw in a music channel and a few bodybuilding/ fitness vids

Worst gym out of the lot. Unprofessional staff, no control of a messy gym, lack of communication in regards to closing and opening times. A small notice at the door showing when youre supposed to be open does not constitute communication. You get 1 star because I cant give a 0.
