The location is absolutely perfect! There are a few homeless people around so just be aware. Lovely lady working at reception. However the quality has gone way down since the last time we stayed there. The owner can’t keep using the pandemic as an excuse because other places have kept their quality up.Things to look out for: the place needs a proper deep cleaning. They need to communicate to other guests that this place allows pets. Not the place for you if you have allergies. There is not much security. Kitchen facilities are the bare minimum and kitchen is usually not clean - there is no longer the breakfast option at the cafe across the street. No check-in/out procedure. No pool or relaxation areas.

Convenient and beautiful. The words though will never compare to the actual experience. The frangipani tree drowns the courtyard with the sweetest smell you will find.Thank you.

Great place to stay as local and close to the city area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had our room at the ground floor and the reception is very close. So, do not get the idea to sleep before 23:00 as the people laughing and talking very loud. The rooms are perfect clean and nicely prepared.

While it was a last-minute and sort of coincidental booking, I had an excellent stay at the MOY guesthouse. The staff had been extremely welcoming and friendly. I booked online at like 9:30 pm and was there at 9:45 pm and the receptionist was super accommodating for my requests. I had the “King room with garden view”, which provided ample space. The room is towards the street. The breakfast is served at a small niche café right opposite. Really cool location and I have to say great cooperation, despite my initial skepticism.Enjoy your visit!

After my first few nights at moy, I came back later in my trip. Why? I loved the chill vibe, friendly people, GREAT beds (never had a bunk bed like this one!) and clean spaces.

The location is good, even though there are some weird guys walking around. The hotel sometimes has communication problems with tour agents (they booked me the wrong tour) and guests (my room underwent maintenance and I had no idea this was gonna happen). They gave me an upgrade as an apology and a breakfast ticket as well. @viajanteilimitada

Beautiful, spacious and clean hostel in a good location. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff. But, since Cape Town is in a water crisis, it would be nice if there are signs or warnings to use water sparsely (like in all other places around town).

Not good. I always put in the door of my room Do Not disturb. One day I was sleeping and at 7:30 someone started to knock on the Door and when i woke up to check, it was the employer and she didn t know how to speak english so I didnt understand What happened. At night when I arrived tired with my wife, i pressed the bell two times to open the main Gate, but the employer was smoking outside and didnt open the Gate, he Just stayed smoking looking to us Trying to enter and did nothing, Lucky the arm of my wife is thin and we could open outside. After this, the worst part, we were relaxing at night almost sleeping in our room and suddenly an employer unlocked our door and enter in our room!!! I was scared and the he said nothing correctly, first time said that there os a booking for the room, something like this. This hotel was the worst in my Life.

Right in the heart of trendy Green Point, and you can walk to everything including the city centre, V&A Waterfront, De Waterkant, Stadium. Beautiful clean rooms, helpful staff, good wi-fi, cool bunk beds and a travel desk that can book anything for you. Great spot.

I would like to say that we are not the typical backpackers. We booked a double room in this hostel because we were out of town because of the city exploration and so only to sleep. Basically, the staff was super friendly and always good mood spread. 24/7 the reception is open. The location was great for exploring the city, many attractions within walking distance. Less enjoyed the breakfast for 50 Rand per person. It is ready for everyone on the table and is covered with aluminum foil when someone is done. If someone comes at half past ten for breakfast everything is cold. The room was basically clean, but the drain in the bathroom smelled extremely uncomfortable (the hostel may not do anything about it). Our window went to the exit where the garbage was stored, was not so pleasant with open windows. The room service was great and the other guests made a very happy impression with their choice. Price ok.
