The accommodation was not at all what I expected. The bedrooms and bathrooms were really old, breakfast was not there even tho we booked it with breakfast (I get it if you cant go breakfast during Covid, but then please rent it out without breakfast, everything else is just uncool) and I honestly didnt really feel save at night. I had a room on the other side of the main house which wouldve been totally fine, but at night is was pitch black and there wasnt a single light. If you see all so pretty pictures at booking.com you definitely expect something else. What I really have to tell that the lady at the reception was the nicest person ever and helped me with my problem without any questions. Thanks for that!!!

It was very nice place to lodge for the night, beautiful view. The only thing that was deal breaker was the fact that there was not much of a customer care.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Queen select room for a romantic weekend away for his birthday. The room and on-suite bathroom was everything we wanted, bright, spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The pool is surrounded by a beautiful garden and trees, providing much needed shade from the African sun. The garden also provides many cute/quaint corners of privacy where you can tan and enjoy the sun after a dip in the pool.Staff were polite, attentive and friendly. The manager, Kelly, was especially sweet and made sure we had everything we could ask for.My boyfriend and I enjoyed the close proximity oof Greenpoint main road and were able to walk to and choose out of a variety of quality restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all within a 10 minute walk from the guest house. Also, the sea point prominade is a short and cheap Uber ride away, which offered more restaurant choices and a walk along the sea front and spectacular sunset views. All in all, Brenwin guest house exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be returning for another stay.

So the hotel at it self looks great, really. The inside is nice, you have a small living room and the rooms are cozy and very nice. The problem with this hotel the BIG -, was the stuff. Yes, the stuff was nice and kind, to the moment when THEY STOLE 450$. Yes, they told us, we should use the safe, but lets be real, who uses the safe? So if you will leave your money in the safe i guess, yeah go for it.

A great place to stay if visiting Cape Town. A tastefully converted old homestead within easy walking distance of the waterfront. Breakfast sets you up nicely for the day and the pool provides a wonderful welcome home.Highly recommended.

First impressions are good as clean, airy, bright and warm & friendly staff. But I havent slept here yet, and Im here for 10 nights, so well see.Having slept there, I now know that if it wasnt for the BRILLIANT staff- kitchen, cleaners and reception, Id have changed my reading to 2 starts. Although clean, its not totally and cleaning underneath rather than just on top of things will benefit their ratings.Bed was lovely but extremely small as myth feet were hanging off the edge of bed, even when diagonal sleeping. This place could do with a much needed refurbishment. I know its older than 30 years and wonder how many times its had a refresh. Its close to most things but beware of the very inclined walk back from the main road ( called Main Road) at thes bottom of the street. However, being so close to must things, uber fares are very, very reasonable.

Made a booking yesterday,17 September, for 2 double rooms for a family of 4 (USA guests), for December 2014. Spoke to a gentleman at Brenwin Guest House telephonically and it was confirmed and all I had to do was send an email so he had my contact details. 24 hours later I get this, after I had already confirmed with the USA guests:Thank you for your email!Unfortunately we only have one room available for these dates.Kind regards,Kelly.Brenwin Guest House1 Thornhill RdGreenpoint8005I made telephonic contact with “Pam” 30 minutes ago but she was not prepared to listen to me and an apology was not forthcoming, so I am making sure that she hears me now! My warning to anyone who has booked into Brenwin Guest House, make sure you still have accommodation.

It is a guesthouse that lend itself to charm, it is not so; Of course there is some greenery, and a small pool, but this old house could be a wonderful place. But there....The front desk staff is very rude and unhelpful (leaves work at, precise time running), does not forward the messages (I did 220 kms for Hermanus for nothing). The rooms in the backyard are a real prison;Bar at the windows, at the door. The room is tiny, the bathroom closed with a cupboard door (type Ikea) badly placed;Nothing makes you want to stay there, let alone come back. The breakfast room is too small. Customers are forced to wait until space is available.I strongly advise against
