My grandmother is a regular customer for many years of this pick n Pay (pretty much the only place she does her monthly grocery shop).She always keeps her eye out for the specials that are advertised and almost EVERY SINGLE TIME she shops the discounts thay are advertised are not deducted off the total! The fact that she actually has to go out of her way to first read through her slips to find out if the discounts were actually deducted is already unacceptable but the fact that this has happened to her numerous times is outrageous.Sort this out.She also mentioned that when she addressed this recently to one of the male managers he was incredibly rude and dismissive.

Officially laid a complaint with the health department with regards to the appalling food quality found in this store. Having been shopping here for the past two years I have enjoyed it immensely. But over the past three months I have bought meat that is rotten when you open the packaging a total of 8 times. It is packed so nicely you dont even notice it until you open the pack and the smell hits you. Buy tomatoes there today, and tomorrow its found with mold spots in your fridge.Having spoken to many members of the community who have found the same problems I have decided to take action. We will all be laying official complaints to have this branch shut down completely before someone gets ill or worse even dies from this shocking food

The best thing that can happen in Gardens Centre is for PicknPay to be replaced by Checkers. This particular PicknPay is the worst branch I have ever encountered in terms of stock levels, and customer service in general. Not all, but most of the staff members are surly, and management inefficient. Refer to the photo to, for example, sample the beef selection this afternoon... Enough said.Four months later: I am sorry to report nothing has changed, in spite of numerous appeals to store and floor managers to get their house in order. The staff is totally unmotivated to meet a certain level of customer service, and until Checkers replaces them, it is what it is - managerial incompetence.

Did a lot of last minute shopping late on Friday afternoon. The store was well stocked and there were lots of specials. There were no queues and social distancing was good. Checkout was quick and cashier was pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended.

Rarely has the specials in stock...especially omo and Johnsons baby wipes but there is a nice clothing.

Generally a very nice pick n pay with a range of products. I like their wine section the most. The only time I have been disappointed was when I bought hot chips and they were not fresh. The other downside is that there is no free parking for the first hour at Gardens Shopping Centre which is really annoying when you want to buy a few things.

Crummy and noisy staff, a very lousy experience. Lacks discipline and management, had a headache after 30mins, the staff shout/talking to each other, will not be back 😑

Fresh fruits but the meat section is a complete turn off. Smell is off, red meat is an off grey colour... It was not pleasant

What a beautiful shopping centre, so peaceful and ample parking. Ablution Facilities are nice and clean. A very heartwarming shopping Centre, Coffee shops, massive Pick n Pay, clothing stores, something for everyone. I cannot wait to wonder around again as my visit was just a quick in and out but I have seen and felt Beautiful just by walking to do quick errands.

They could use more people at the tills. But other than that they always have what I need at reasonable prices. They are clean and mostly organized. I go there every opportunity I get. Would definitely recommend them 👌

Please teach all your staff members to wear a mask properly. It is suppose to go over your nose and mouth, at all times. I saw two staff members just standing by the bakery section with half a mask on (or mask under the nose) talking to each other with not a care in the world. No stars, it it was possible.

Worse service! Always an issue when I need to draw money from my Tyme Card, even if I let them know an hour before the time that I need to draw.Most of the time, Im overcharged at the tills. Nabeela makes me feel like its my fault!

Very much surprised, beautiful fresh foods ...love it

No baskets to shop with, crates and trolleys are in the way everywhere, some fresh produce are off and slimy, some of the staff are rude especially the male staff who shoves and pushes the customers, whos waiting on line at till, out of the way or just walks into them with a trolley and just keep going. The contents of the poor Ladys handbag was scattered across the floor. The best part is that the guy didnt even look back nor didnt care to apologise. The tills are to busy and not enough open, so where must everyone stand and wait in line? Management should be fired for his/her laissez faire attitude! Never have I ever been so disgusted! FFS!

Poor service quality! I have selected some fruits here, but no one will take the initiative to help weigh them. They even ask you to weigh them yourself! Another time, I was looking for some goods and asked their shop assistants. They said no, but later I found them on the shelves they displayed

A well presented store with great staff

A very large PnP in size, however, the staff can sometimes if not often be a bit on the dull side, as if they dont really want to be there. And when you ask them where to find an item, theyre very reluctant to want to help or act as if theyve never heard of what youre asking for (I mean, who has never heard of flapjack mix or citrus soda)

The price at the till showed high price than the one advertised..when I fought about it refused to mark it down saying the barcode doesnt respond yet it was the only barcode on the shelf with only one product which was the error on their side..claiming it was the customers during the day

Worst customer service experience ever... Every single time Ive been there! Always think they are doing you a favour being there. Only go there if I really have to and really go out of my way not to. If I could give less stars I would. Rather go to Constantia PnP or Waterfront.

They don’t answer their phone. 3 days of calling because my delivery was never ordered and the employee stole it. This company is complete trash.

Its okay, they could sort out the layout of the store and tills a bit better. Beware when buying meats as they sometimes near expiry so youll need use right away or freeze, sometimes these items sold at discount. Avoid on the 25th or last day/weekend of month, seems everyone does their payday shopping all at once, much quieter on other days.

I find some of the cashiers very unfriendly very few packers.I just find everthing on there part a major effort towards the customer.Prefer to shop at PnP Waterfront.

There is a good variety of everything at this store. Although its small and the aisles are a bit cramped, its always clean and neat. Maybe my 3 star rating is a bit unfair, but it stems from me asking one staff member for assistance and not getting the proper service. She was busy standing in the middle of an aisle chatting on her cellphone when I asked for help and continued to reply to her message while I was speaking and not even acknowledging that she is hearing what I am saying. Then another staff member came to her to tell her can she please come with him because he has to show her a video he received on his cellphone. This annoyed me.But on the other hand, I was I the store recently when the POS devices went offline, and the supervisor lady with a slim build and short, straight black hair was super efficient in assistance all the tills with the one available online POS device.

Terrible customer service, messy store, unprofessional manager.I used to shop at the Gardens Center Pick n Pay, but I would say after my last visit, Ive had enough.The staff are most unfriendly, they just ignore you. Bad attitude week by week.The worst hygiene Ive ever seen, food lying on the floor, open packages with bread out on the shelf... Photo attached.The manger treats customers with blunt 1 liners. He just tries to remove himself from all situations.Most cashiers are friendly, I have only found them pleasant, as all other floor staff and food servers are in their own land, having conversations.The store mainly sells food, and has a small clothing section. The products in both sections are rarely marked, so expect to get questions at the till.Overall, I would shop at the Woolworths above the Pick n Pay.

I want to give 1 star... It wouldnt be far to some employees though... The bakery and hot foods staff are amazing and deserve five stars on their own. Management however need to sort out the till situation. Your store closes at 8pm... Why are there no express tolls open at 7pm?? Frustrating when you finish work and have to wait 10 minutes longer than you would because most of the staff on the tills couldnt care less and work at their own pace. If it was 7:45pm and the express tolls were cashing up I get it... But surely not at 7? Also nobody at the cigarette counter at that time. I left what I was going to buy at the till and walked out.Also some staff do not know what customer service is. Not the first time Ive had this experience here or another pick n pay...

I cannot understand why Pick n Pay in the Gardens Centre does not have a one-queue checkout system (they did a major revamp a few years ago and I was amazed that they didn’t work this into the new layout). This is annoying at the best of times, but maddening in the time of Coronavirus. People are now queuing far into the aisles, getting in the way of shoppers, who have to try to be socially distanced while reaching around them to get something off the shelves.

Today I was at pick n pay Gardens centre..got to the till and I was told by the cashier there is your bag..thats it....I said well are u not going to put the stuff in the bag she said no. Just shows how they treat the customer...she should have said mam we dont have packers do you mind putting your groceries in the bag..I was not treated like a customer...but like a number

PnP Gardens your cashier/teller layout is so so inefficient and frustrating for the customer😤 your customers have to queu down the aisles blocking products and in the walk way blocking other customers. You can’t see how long each line is and it takes at least 15mins to get through this part of your system! Please look at improving this

Living a healthy lifestyle doesnt mean to eat rolls made of white flour. Unfortunately there is nothing else available. Are your supplier that unqualified ?The passages are sometimes that small that you cant go on with the trolley.If you prepare food/meat in the middle of the shop, why not installing proper ventilation? Do you think all people like that disgusting stink? And no, I dont care if this is just a promotion, it stinks !And finally, people who pack the bags should be instructed to take care of the goods. Or is it okay if these less qualified people throw your freshly bought raw eggs around?Such a big store and such a stupid till situation - this is ridiculous. How incompetent is the management ?

This is probably onethe worst Pick n Pay stores where customer service does not exist and management doesnt care one bit. Obviously being a high store they dont care as they make their money and thats all they care about. They have the worst management team ever, especially the one male manager whos name starts with a B. The cashiers are clueless how to work their bills especially when doing careless payment asbibhave tried them over 10 times and every time I had to wait for a manager as many didnt even know what the careless payment was. You can never ever get through to them on their landline, even before lockdown and when someone does happen to answer, they either keep quiet or say hello and many times, lack telephone etiquette. The service at the Butchery is not good. Often people will look at you through the door but dont even come to assist you. Sometimes they even closed well before the store itself closed. Tha fully I managed to get the contact of the manager and 1 other member of staff who has been absolutely amazing and very very helpful.

Checkers on Kloof in Gardens is a more friendly experience
