I found parking easily available. ..some of the aisles a bit narrow but if you look carefully, you will find some specials and in general not as expensive as you may find other Pick n Pay stores. The usual grocery items and in general aimed at a younger. .perhaps student market. ..but all the same all of the items you would expect. ..very surprised when I actually received a friendly greeting from the cashier (Elzaan George ). I think this store is worth a visit for everyday grocery items and will certainly return.

Definitely feel on todays shop i saved a bit comparatively speaking. My first time at this particular store and will definitely go back. Only negative is that its rather old and tired looking, and in desperate need of a revamp or upgrade to a more current modern looking store, which will make shopping there an absolute delight....hopefully the owners take cogniscance of uplifting the brands image and perception of its customers!!!

Easy shopping experience, especially on your way to work. Deli is well stocked (even at 7am opening), a large variety of anything from steamed pennys to some hearty beef stew(had that for breakfast this morning).Pnp staff are very friendly and well loved by the shoppers, especially our beloved barista who knows each customers preferred freshly brewed liquid gold.I do love the self help till points.. Just smile and wave chaps smile and wave.

Great store. Friendly staff. Great specials. The only problem I have is when I want to draw money at the till. Its always usually a problem. If you partner up with fnb and other banks you should know that people will want to draw money due to the zero transactional fees. This comes down to poor management. This is their biggest fault after going there for years.

Im very disappointed 😞. I bought this marinated chicken from Pick n pay observatory only to find out it had gone bad. The whole family now have running tummies. Why put the wrong sell by dates 📅😕 when you it had expired. It tasted very awful 😞and had to throw it away.

Extremely pleasant shopping experience. Well done to the management at Observatory Family Store. The Cashier Pamela Makalima impressed me by taking the time to check on price specials deals as I asked her. She even showed it to me on the till slip. I wish the Goodwood and N1 store trained their staff to the same customer service level.

Good shopping experience. Best opening hours by far. There are 8 self service tills but at any given time at least 5 of them are out of commission and 3 functional. Defeats the objective of self service checkouts.

This shop is neat, I have never found any product that I bought unpleasing. The service from the till is quick and thanks to the new self payment system, it decreases the cues and is good for social distancing. The security and the stuff are very considerate about the current COVID-19 regulations. For me the store is like heaven.

Its a convenient store. Its usually packed but has great services. There are no long ques and there are self service paypoints which shows great innovation in action. The stock is also nicely packed in a way that its easy to navigate and find what youre looking for.

There is always something missing in the fruit and veg aisle. Meat section is limited however the prices are good as they cater to the student market. Aisles are very narrow. This is a place for a basic emergency shop but if you want more go elsewhere.

Not the cleanest or besr stocked Pick n Pay, but there is not much other choices nearby, apart from a Spar further down the road

This is a very convenient store. You can get all essential things you need, its quite easy to find what you are looking for. I love the self assistance pay points. If you are in a hurry and have a few items, you can easily scan them on your own and make payment fast and easy. I love the innovation.

The self service cashier works the best. Specially with Covid-19. Only you have contact with the products you purchase minimizing the cross contamination.

I feel that I have to commend the staff and management of pick n pay Observatory. In comparison with some of the other pick n pays they have always gone out of their way to make their clients experience within the shop the good one.When they did not have tomatoes to fill the 5 for R100 deal. The assistant simply took tomatoes from the rock and made a special packet of tomatoes so that we could have that in the deal.Comparing this to the experience we had at century City just a week back where the consultant refuse to do this even after I consulted with the store manager.I see the difference between a community orientated shop and one that is just chasing bottom line.Well done pick n pay Observatory.

The store was clean an organized and the shelves were being restocked...I quite enjoyed the self service although there was no sanitizer or handwipes available to clean the touch screen or area around.....

Convenient because it is close to home, but every time I go there, there is always something that they dont have any stock of.

A bit small but it has all the necessities. There is apparently some basement parking but I havent used it yet as the car wash is there too. Otherwise the Pnp is nice because it offers self service points which makes waiting in line so much faster in comparison to other pnps (most are tills open too).

I bought cinnamon buns from Pick n Pay here in Observatory and I have to say I am very disappointed, they taste like meat and not cinnamon buns, I dont even know that is possible but ke thats what they taste like. I only ate one and had to throw the other ones away cause they are awful 🤮🚮

A very beautiful shop with awesome workers, they always have someone to help the customer, there is always managers around or supervisors around to help with any issues.You can buy almost anything that is there to eat. They even have a self service machines for those that dont want to stand in the line just to pay for one or two things.Dont worry if you in a rush and you want to grat one or two items pick n pay is the place because you will get someone to show you where you can find what you are looking for and someone to show you how to use the self service machine just in case you dont know how to use it.

Always love shopping their meat products coz there is always a variety and stock. I do personally feel that the store must work on store layout as everything is cramped up. Checkout is always to busy and full cluster standing around.

This last Monday , I had to leave my sick bed to get to the chemist and to get milk and oatmeal from PicknPay . I have just had surgery and suffer with sclerosis of the spine which decided to pound me with intense pain making standing and walking impossible. The Cashier hurried to get me a chair, the Supervisor rushed to assist and returned extremely kind man to assist me out of the store, he to rushed to find a chair, helped me call an Uber and eventually arranged a taxi for me as Uber canceled my trip after trying several times . All the while checking on me , I have never been treated with such kindness and respect and would like to thank the staff for going that extra mile to assist a sick stranger, remarkable human beings .I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

This PnP is a real peoples store! Very popular. It is well stocked and well managed. There is a self service checkout which is great for a few items when you are in a rush! Secure parking and other shops to visit in the small centre. I go there often.

Rude announcer constantly telling customers to stand on the line etc. Wasnt friendly and inviting. Felt like a concentration camp. Some companies... when they close down will be like... Oh its because of Covid.... No no no. You can follow the regulations and still be nice about it. Wake up please.

Staff is highly excellent in customer service and professionally friendly with warm greeting especially by the management lady that has an eloquence when she resonates the words and I thank you and goes the extra mile to assist ....you an amazing welcome when entering pic n pay....wish other pic n pay were like you guys. However only giving three stars as Tuesday you had no cheese thats on special for R89 and the poultry shelves near empty.

Bought products in promotion as a combo got to pay point , it doesnt scan . cashier ask for management which looked more confused regarded as seniors .i stood there for 45mns approx .they...able to have their own conversation in their vernacular in front of the customer , which I know pick ñ pay 10 unbreakable rules doesnt allow it. merchandisers ignores expired promos on shelves . handling of my situation, Grace should attend classes of pick ñ pay customer services and problem resolution.

Love the 100 rand combo, pumpkin, tomatoes, sweet potato, onions, beetroot, youre all set. I save so much and its such a blessing during this time of financial crisis. The customer service is stellar. And its literally one of the first few places that sell coconut yoghurt(its dairy based). I love shopping at Pick n Pay these days.... I love the idea of not standing I long lines waiting for the cashier to ring up my goods.... I can do it myself by going to the self help till where I can check out my own goods its so convenient and easy especially when you in a hurry..... My daughter enjoys herself helping me to do it..... I had pleasant shopping experiences in this supermarket up until their security team profiled my friends and accused them of shop-lifting. Their security team seemed to enjoy taunting my friends and trying to intimidate them. I worry that this senseless reproach was based on xenophobic grounds. Manager was nowhere in sight and the assistant manager Zoela seemed to join in on the ruse. Utterly disappointed in this branch and I will not be returning!

Always have the best foods in the Deli for a quick lunch or even if you dont have time to cook...staff is always friendly and they have the most hyperactive manager Ive ever seen just love it.

This sore is been managed very poorly,its not my 1st time to have a chat with the managers but today was but the worst . People were let into the shop with out there temperatures been checked.when asked why this was not happening, I was told the machine is broken. Trollies were not clean and looked filthy. The stores seems to be more focused on turn over more than health and safety of the customers.
