Just moved into larger premises diagonally opposite to where they were. Selling expired best before date products at excellent prices.One can definitely save lots by shopping here. A huge variety of groceries and other essential foodstuffs.Spacious aisles with a no frills shopping experience. Helpful and friendly staff.

Looters is situated at Block 4, Unit 6, South Palms, 10 Celie Rd, Retreat. It has a wide variety of products. Depending what you are buying, their prices can be cheaper than the usual supermarkets. However know your prices before buying here. I find they have some great deals and sometimes they not as cheap. But its worth the visit. I like buying here as I get small things for the kids lunch boxes. Also their products are constantly changing depending on how popular it is and from day to day you may not get the same products. They have a website too.

I love the great prices of Looters. Discounted to suit all pockets. I personally dont buy food but that just personal preference but their toiletries and chocolates so worth the price. New store much bigger as well.

All on all, I recommend this shop; expiry dates on food is BS. The prices and quality are mostly good. Something was way off on the Cheetos that I bought but they were only a couple rand. This is the place to stock up on chocolate and toiletries. One complaint though... I overheard one of the staff being really condescending to another apparently subordinate staff member. She seemed a bit out of line from my point of view.

I love buying chocolate here... You can usually get high quality chocolate (eg Ritter Sport, Lindt or Cote dOr) for about half the normal price.The new premises (since a week ago) are much bigger, so its a much more comfortable experience.Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Loved this place.Will never purchase specific items at another grocer again.Was a little surprised that we were not allowed to take photos. Maybe putting up a sign would be a great idea.The website could also do with an upgrade. There are a alot of products that can be good if added to the website.

Shocking experience here, witnessed the owner treating her staff very badly, by shouting at them, was a very unpleasant atmosphere with very strange people in the store, i would rather pay the extra few rands than go back to this store, the products have also all passed their best before date, the cereal i bought was very stale, Even though it is mentioned throughout the store that the products have passed their sell by date, it is still not worth it as all of the foods were of very poor quality. I would rather pay a little bit more at other stores where the quality is much higher than at looters. avoid at all costs!

Good slashed priced goods, bought a few clothing items a few years ago when they first opened. You wont always get what you wNt, but thats not down to them, as it is a store that offers stuff at lower prices than retailers. If you looking for a bargain, its a good place to go, you might leave with a few items you didnt intend, shop has improved its look and feel, since the early days. Hope they can get clothing again and sell it at slashed prices, I got such good bargains.. Im deducting one star because of just being upset of not getting the clothing, hahaha, but thats just me... Go and visit them any how, Im sure youll find something youll like.

Not all prices are good prices, for example, I bought expired pecan nuts that was more expensive than retail stores. Sometimes we walk in blind and assume that everything is cheaper, always Google prices just to make sure

Prices most definitely not as advertised. Items I went to buy was all R10 more than advertised. All goods that has not already reached expiry date are much more expensive than in local supermarkets - Pick n Pay etc. No match for shops such as Giants. Will definitely not waste my time or petrol to shop here again.

Prices are not really slashed. I found that most things were close to shop prices and other items even more expensive than the shops.

A few items well prices but very few .. you can get better deals at pnp, checkers and Shoprite ...

More of a convenience store than a warehouse as it is a bit compact inside, and by that I mean cluttered with narrow isles. Imported brands/boxed goods are the main attraction to the store.

Its like foodies store, one has to check between the two stores as the one might have a better price compared to the other and vice versa. some goodies are average priced. some are bargains I suppose 8t all depends if you go there st the right time Store is best and staff is always friendly though so that good. They started selling boerwors and cold drinks outside as well.
