I had the most amazing gift service experience ever with Baraka Gifts and Decor!!!! Their staff is the most attentive team I have ever come across and went out of their way to make sure that a birthday gift that I ordered with them was to my complete satisfaction! They went above and beyond what was expected and that I was absolutely happy with the order and that it was to my exact request! Derrick the owner responded to my enquiry almost immediately (on a Sunday evening) and responded to each and every one of my emails. If youre looking for a gift shop/service with a WOW factor then Baraka Gifts and Decor is the one!!! Thanks a mil! Very happy customer!😀

I was looking for something that I was sure did not exist and would have to be tailor made for our needs. I almost gave up, but then looked online and at Baraka I found EXACTLY what I needed and not only that, they also went out of their way on a Sunday afternoon to do an engraving on the product! With that done, It was even more exactly what I needed! So I am blown away by the actual product and the service. WOW! Thank you to the Baraka team! Good to know there is such good businesses around still today! 5 star!

This is a world class store with everything you could possible wish to find! It is in a wonderful location with easy parking and lovely little restaurants nearby. The owners are always amazingly helpful and kind, and they choose such brilliant items that I always find something perfect for friends and family, no matter what the occasion. These guys have the best taste in town, they have made their store a treasure trove. Best of all, shopping there is inspiring and uplifting, I always leave somehow feeling better about life! I think it is their great hospitality and customer service and also the joy of discovering the new items they have found. 10/10 to Baraka Gifts. Highly recommend.

I dont like shopping. I just happened to be in the area of Baraka and popped in on the spur of the moment. What a delightful surprise - it was walking into the modern equivalent of Aladdins Cave. I usually know what I want, go into a shop, get it and get out. But at Baraka I spent simply ages browsing through the fascinating and utterly eclectic collection of goods. Despite it being so tiny and with the constant coming and going of other customers, at no time was I made to feel that I was in the way. The delightful young proprietor, apart from checking periodically to see I was okay, made me feel like a welcome guest. I found the most beautiful and unusual necklace which people comment on whenever I wear it. And it brings back such good memories a very special shopping experience.

Baraka is not just a curio store, it is much more than that, extremely unique, set in the colourful Cape Quarter. It has very kind and unique owners who always are willing to help and chat with customers. Very alternative music, from slow tempo techno beats to eastern music or nature ambiance of waterfalls and birds. They have an extremely wide range of goods, from local quirky artists, very cool antiques like Mad magazines and Tintin posters and even doctors manuals from the 60s. They import leather books and other curios from India and the east. The store is more like a treasure hunt than a convenience store. Every other day they creatively re-layout the store. Other goods are animal horns, skulls and leather carpets, your real African stuff like masks etc. It is really worth visiting. Prices are reasonable for the awesome stuff you can get there.

I was here today to buy gifts for my family. I was looking for days for authentic and handcrafted souvenirs but was mainly disappointed. Greenmarket square and the area around seemed to offer mass produced things made in China. But then I entered Baraka today and I was positively surprised!SO MANY things and very helpful staff! I bought presents for all family members and had to restrict myself. Hahaha... I could have bought the whole shop! Wine bottle openers with wild hog teeth, beautiful wristbands and necklaces but also some nerdy things can be found here. I really recommend coming here when you want to have authentic things from South Africa. And this shop has something for every budget in my opinion. Of course, there are pricey objects but we should keep in mind that those are handcrafted and such work deserves appreciation.I also got the hint that tourists can get 12 of the 14% taxes at the airport back. Very useful advice! You can see and feel that this shop is made and operated with love. Well done!

This is a truly a great gift shop which has been around since 2007. They stock mostly handmade gifts and decor items and mostly locally made. It has also an African influence and a lot of quirky and vintage stuff. Also art and cool prints by local artists. This shop makes one proud to be a South African. What I also like it that it has a very friendly vibe. One of the owners is very into music and you will hear his amazing playlists with super cool music - the playlists are always fresh and new. I am always on Shazam when browsing in the shop. :-)They also have a big poster collections with all kinds of posters including movie posters. It is a good place to buy gifts in!

My first time to this beautiful city Cape Town and I googled gift shops and this shop came up. I laughed when I saw they described themselves as world renowned, and thought for that kind of chutzpa I have to go and check it out. Hmmm, Pretty cool shop I must say. Kind of give you the feel of a little shop in a market in some Middle Eastern city. They just have more funky, creative stuff. Lots of quirky and unusual gifts and decor, art, handmade stuff etc. They have nice African pieces, not like the typical crap you get in the markets. I was surprised at how reasonable it was priced. There was really a nice vibe in the shop with beautiful music playing and the owner, Belto (?), (a cool looking young black dude with dreadlocks and a red artificial leg!) was really helpful and friendly. I bought some very nice scarves, a Mongoose Handbag, fun Jewelery, and the cutest little recycled tin bicycle. The only downside is that it is maybe just too full, one cant see everything because there is just too much. It is though very creatively displayed. I will buy here again if ever I come to south Africa again.
