I was at the New Barcode last night. Wow what a refreshing surprise. Its clean neat and the staff are friendly. Great Barman and good vibe. Thank you for fixing the toilets which were way overdue. So happy to see that people still take pride in creating CLEAN places for the gay guys to go to. Awesome Job done.

Transphobic!We (trans men) got turned away by the doorman AND at the bar, this has now happened on TWO separate events despite being assured it wouldnt happen again and telling them were trans men, the manager didnt even bother to correct the doorman.The barman then told us were not allowed upstairs where the event is happening sorry, trans, whatever, its no discrimination but your not allowed up this is a MENS event. I noticed no people there who werent cis men or cis male-passing so clearly your bar isnt remotely queer friendly.My friend and I left once again feeling very unsafe after this treatment and Im frankly disgusted and appalled that you claim to be queer friendly dont know what trans men are.

Went got told about naked night. Was told that if you stay till 11 and is in before 11 you dont pay.11pm were forced to pay by other barman. Ordered drinks with payment. Never got drinks, yet paid for them.First barman left as his shift ended, second knew nothing.Needless to say, just like Hot House, they try and rip us off where we they can.

Got turned away at the door because I was presenting as a woman. “This is a male-only bar, please leave.” Wish I could give zero stars.

While in Cape Town, we wanted to test this gay bar. Very good surprise, pleasant atmosphere, very friendly waiters and after 23.00 2 evenings in the week is evening naked. It’s moving a lot.The only problem, the cabins should be able to be closed from the inside and there should be paper and gel in all the cabins and in particular for the cabins where there are the slings (very good idea the slings). Ditto for the toilets they must close.
