It sounds cliché to say that our wedding day was the best day of our lives; but it really was! Laughter and love were the order of the day and it was in no short supply. We were so lucky to have found Jessica to help us plan our wedding in South Africa! Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful events you will ever go through. Not only did we have the normal wedding stress of picking a venue, flowers and decor, we also had to deal with the tumultuous and difficult period of lockdown, curfews, alcohol restrictions and the closing of our borders.Like most wedding couples last year, we had to postpone our wedding, accept many of our deposits being forfeited, suppliers unpredictability to meet any of the new proposed dates, amending all of our supplier contracts and to top it off the inexplicable realisation that the wedding planner we had trusted to organise everything in Cape Town, had dropped the ball.With 6 weeks to go, we approached Mon Amour Events in a panic. Not only was Jessica incredibly efficient, detailed and focused, she was able to put together the most incredible day of our lives in the shortest time period possible and was often the one person in the middle of all the chaos who held the wedding and us together! Jessicas passion for creating a day that reflects you as a couple is what separates her from the rest of the planners out there. We will be forever grateful for the numerous late night Skype calls and her honesty when our vision was more than our budget. Jessica communicated with us every day and night to make sure that we created the day we wanted and were on track with every supplier. We were given numerous quotes to look at within our budget, no ideas were too extravagant or out of the box and we were shown hundreds of photographs for ideas on decor, flowers, cabanas and even down to the smallest detail of where our dessert table would be. Nothing was too big or small for Jessica to give advice on and she was with us every step of the way. On our wedding day, Jessica and her team far surpassed our expectations. We did not have to think about a thing, except for being present with one another and enjoying every moment of our day with our guests. We couldnt have done it without Jessica and Mon Amour Events. We are so happy we chose Jessica as our wedding planner. From the first moment we met on Skype, we instantly clicked with her and felt she would be able to deliver our wedding vision. The fact that Jessica is young is only an asset, she is up to date with styles and trends and is big on instagram and pinterest. We couldnt have been more thrilled with Jessica as our wedding planner! Planning a wedding from overseas with no time to visit venues was a daunting task.
