Vert flavourful sauce (I had the doro wot). Slightly spicy sauce with a chicken leg and an egg. The bread was a little too much compared to the amount of sauce but the flavours were great and the owner was nice and welcoming. Would come again here!

It was very small restaurant but so interesting and traditional. There is no fork, knife or something :) you must eat with your hand :) taste is not bad , if you Like try different meal you can eat. (From 2017)

Not my first time tasting Ethiopian food but this time at Little Ethiopia is truly enjoyable, especially dining outside on the truly under the city night sky. The restaurant is quite small and can fit maximum of 20+ people. Weve booked out the whole restaurant and the owner suggested that we do a chicken, a beef and two veggie (one is chickpeas and one is lentil) dishes with the traditional bread to share amongst the group. The dishes were well picked and all flavourful and spicy. My favourite is the beef one. The also put extra chilli powder as their pepper and salt on the sides. I took them and it enhances the dishes, just more spicy though. Had their traditional coffee too. Just a heads up that you will be eating the traditional way, with your hands. Service is casual and sometimes shy, but attentive.

Very delicious and fresh foods. You sit on little stools around a table and share. Eating with you hands. Quite a fun experience. They also bring as much you can eat. Very nice service and the food is very healthy. Make sure to have a reservation. It is quite pricey though. We pay 30USD per Person in a group of eight.

We stumbled across possibly the smallest restaurant Ive ever been in,The hostess was friendly and the atmosphere was genuinely great I loved that there were local people (Ethiopians) eating with us.The food portions were generous. We had a platter that has a bit of everything and something similar to a lamb curry as shown I the picture. The flavor of the stewed meat was great the vegetables were very simply prepared and more akin to home cooking rather than a culinary Cuisine. This in my opinion added to the overall quaint feel of the place.Great for something different, be forewarned no cutlery so wash your mits before you dine there

Cape Town is difficult for vegetarians, but places like this makes it easier – Tasty food (someone complained about blandness, but they give you berber and other spices that you can use to adjust this), lovely decor and atmosphere and the owner seemed nice. Very small, but I was still able to get a seat.

If youre looking for a unique, delicious dining experience in a little and authentic Ethiopian restaurant, this is the place for you! Wouldnt recommend for a first date though, as eating with your hands can be tricky 😋

Would definitely recommend! Frequently visit this place because I’ve had great experiences. There are plenty of options for vegetarians, and the food is always delicious. The host has always been so kind and welcoming.Only downsides are the location of the toilet, and the small seating area (can be uncomfortable if it is crowded).

This really is a little gem hidden in the backstreets of Cape town. The Ethiopian lady running the place will take her time to explain the choices on the menu and make sure youll have a scrumptious experience. The dishes were well prepared and beautifully presented. The food was very delicious. Also, budget wise, this evening of sublime dining, wont break the bank. Five star without a doubt!

Little Ethiopia is something very special. It is tiny and squashed and intimate and wonderful. The food is standard Ethiopian fare and delicious at the same time, but the best part is the hospitality, as if you were guest in an Ethiopian house! Highly recommended for the experience.

As the name the restaurant is very small and less space to seat inside, but outdoor sitting is also available. Inside view is very nice with traditional style. Traditional music videos are also played here. The food is really good. There is a toilet available. The price is average. Must visit place. Usually it this place is little bit crowded.

The service was poor and the food was just ok - not memorable and definitely not a restaurant I will revisit. The space is literally Little and not very comfortable. The arent variety of options, its either beef or chicken and do not expect dessert options or variety of drinks.

Little Ethiopia is a quirky little place, hidden away in plain sight. Its tiny but makes up for it with personality. The owner Yeshi is very friendly and open and always shares some stories about Ethiopia or Ethiopian food if youre curious.Ive only given it 3 stars as the food quality has degraded a bit recently. Also try Cafe Timbuktu or my favorite Ethiopian Madame Taitou.
