Took the phone to replace the battery but no one tells you that they do not use genuine parts. A five months later I received a call asking if everything was ok. I didn’t think anything of it but I should have realize my problems are about to start. Eight months after the replace battery and the battery smelled up. I took it back to them to be told that the battery was overcharged, seriously. I then was told that the home button wasn’t working so I asked them to fix it. Today I collect it and the screen is still cracked and the home button never fixed.The strangest part is that it happened to both phones that I took in. When I told the lady behind the counter about it I just got a blank stare.I would not recommend this company at all to anyone

While there is plenty of space to maintain social distancing in the store, they insist on only one customer at a time being allowed inside while everyone else has to queue outside.?? Of course one person at a time means there’s only one person working so good luck on expecting fast or efficient service. Find another place to take your phone. So an update on this - iPhone store just outside the Waterfront - boom bam 20 minute turnaround. Problem solved.

I end up at weFix every few months... Always a pleasure to deal with the people there. During C19 I suspect they are a little short-staffed, so had to wait a few times, but I was waiting while they were helping people, and making sure they got the right info/service, so it was fine. Also very responsive on email. Thank you :)

My experience with Wefix was a rather regrettable one. My phone went in for repair and was stolen during an armed robbery. While I obviously accept that a robbery is not in anyway something they are responsible for the service following that was not great. I received little to no information in the aftermath. Bar one phone call the following day after the incident, I had to constantly prompt them for information with regards to resolution of the problem. What added to the frustration of the whole situation is that the communication is exclusively done via email as there is not telephone number that you are able to contact them on. I would have hoped that given the circumstances a greater effort would have been made to communicate more effectively.

Took my iPhone 8 in to get a new screen. Now my phone literally doesnt work. Its so glitchy/freezes/wont exit apps.The staff were unhelpful, and the store doesnt even have a phone number in order to find out how much longer they would need to fix my phone.Save yourself the hassle and MONEY and do not take your phone here.

No response from the WeFix website either. weird. - I have already tried the website and sending an email below as per screenshot of email received from WeFix. No response from them yet since 18 March. They respond that I should email the same email address again? This is really bizarre what is happening at this company?

I emailed to get a quote about a smartwatch battery replacement. I received a very unclear email indicating the price of a WATCH is almost the same as the retail price of a new watch. This was not clear and I replied asking for clarity as to whether this was the cost of the battery replacement. Next email I received is that my enquiry has been completed and I should reply if not. I did reply and again was emailed to say my ticket was closed. I didnt even get an opportunity to book the watch in for the replacement. There was no way to contact them and emails were not responded to. I popped in to the shop in town and waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us at the door. I still do not know how much a battery replacement costs.

Very nice service, and they are following all the Covid-19 regulations.When we walked in we were greeted very friendly and I showed the man at reception what happened and he checked to see if they had the parts or could get them and gave us and estimated price for the service.After he was very honest and said that the device could be fixed but it would have costed more than buying the same device brand new but if we wanted it fixed obviously it could be done.We dropped it off on Wednesday and on Monday it was ready because the parts were not in the shop and had to be ordered and paid on collection.Very nice and friendly service. Thank you.

They cant help you with anything (other than phone covers) unless your device gets send in for a Damage Report/diagnostic which take 2-3 working days and costs R499. Even if its as simple as you asking them if they sell screws that fit into the bottom of a MacBook? no sir sorry we need to run a diagnostic first, how Ridiculous?!

I wish I could give zero stars. Took on our iPad for a screen replace. It was actually working fine, there was just a small shatter/cracked area right at the bottom of the screen. We figured its such an expensive item, lets rather get it fixed so it doesnt get worse. Take it into WeFix in Cape Town. The very next dy its ready. In the shop it looked fine and was working OK. Took it home and my husband was horrified to see it was not flush, the the screen was actually bending. If you looked carefully, you could see light leaking out on the side. The iPad had also started randomly restarting. We tried to do hard resets in case an app was causing an issue but that did not work. Our iPad was inoperable. I had gotten an email asking about my experience. I said it was awful and explained. The We Fix representative said I must take it back in. We took it in a few weeks later. Due to Covid 19, we have been quite busy with work getting back into full swing and also did not leave the house when we both felt ill. When explained the situation to the man at the front desk, we were met with hostility. Why didnt we come in sooner despite my proof that there was an issue on the day we received it back. The man the continued to tell us we had to fork out an extra R900 for a new battery because he says thats why the screen is bending. The screen repair itself was already R5200 or so. They could not guarantee that the problem would be fixed though and the only way we could get our refund was for them to remove the screen they gave us and give us back the shell of the iPad. Was a bit of a fight to get our money back but the manager who stepped in made it happen. We Fix had claimed that the iPad was Beyond Economic Repair. So I picked up my shell of an iPad, no screen, after getting my refund. My mom in law took it to Digicape who were horrified that any service business would even return an item to a customer like that. They recommended Apple Doctor who fixed it in less than a day - no issues whatsoever. IPad is working 100 percent fine.Moral of the story: Wefix has no cooking clue what theyre doing or they just dont give a f***.Dont do it. Dont go there. Digicape and Apple Doctor are amazing.

Took my Samsung s7 to get the software fixed and they quoted me over R9000!!!! And thats not just the only charge, they charge you to diagnose your phone which they then told me that I need a new screen???. The phone isnt even worth that price new. Anyway, I found a different place that repaired it for R200. Never using these ripoffs again

My parrot bit all my arrow keys off my keyboard of my MacBook Pro and iStore wanted to charge me over R1000 for a new keyboard. weFix used some spare parts they had lying around to fix my keyboard for me and didnt charge me a single cent. Not even for their time or labour. Ive never received such awesome service ever! Really impressed with these people!

I had heard that we fix was the right place to fix my iPhone XS screen and I paid a fortune to have it fixed. But I was highly disappointed with the outcome and how they treated me. The color tone of the screen was completely off, the new screen they replaced made the screen smaller and bigger bezels, the 3D Touch sensor was messed up, there was a mark in the middle of the screen whenever I touched it(I think they gave me a broken screen) and the screen didn’t turn on when I tapped the screen often. After this I shall never go back to wefix and I would much rather pay the extra money to go to apple and have it done by them. I am so disappointed and shocked by wefix

They do not answer the phone at all, neither do they answer the door bell. When someone eventually opened the door, we walked in and were told to wait for the receptionist, many other people behind the desk but took nearly 15 mins to wait and eventually she and said male appeared looking embarrassed. (Strange...) Once battery was replaced, they got my Email address incorrect, got told it would be changed so that I could receive the invoice. Its been over a week now and still nothing.

When calling them, the voice prompt gives you the office hours and says press 1 to leave a voicemail....but i am calling within the mentioned hours?...combine that with the fact that canal walk store never!!!!! answers the phone..i am done even trying with wefix, trying to get help from them is more frustrating then anything else.

Ive had nothing by terrible service from WeFix... I booked my Apple Mac in for repairs, I then received a quote and went ahead with the repair.A few days later I got an email saying the machine was ready for collection.I get the machine back and it still had the initial problem so we took it back and we got the same story.Eventually the machine went back 3 times where the third time I said I want my money back as they clearly couldnt fix it.I was assured that I would be paid back in full already on Friday 6th, its now almost a week later (Thu 12th) and I still have not received my money back and it wasnt a small sum of money either...I am extremely disappointed, at first I was really impressed with the service and how fast I got a quote but after this long ordeal, I wouldnt recommend anyone to use them.

Received a report and quotation for a cell phone screen replacement last year October (2017), the insurance paid out accordingly and to this day (Feb 2018) the phone has not been repaired. It is a company phone and now a company joke as wefix apparently dont fix. I e-mailed and called to inquire every two weeks or so regarding the availability of the screen stock and i was eventually just ignored. What terrible service and lack of professionalism. Certainly not one my company would use in future.

Really good service! I had taken my Mac to both the istore and incredible connections in waterfront prior to visiting wefix and neither could get the job done at all. They had no idea what was wrong. Wefix managed to fix the entire issue in less than 2 working days and their interactions were very professional. Great service! Would definitely recommend as the best place to fix apple laptops to anyone in Cape Town!

Very bad experience. Went there with a phone that might have had water damage. after diagnosis they said the screen was broken. Decided not to have it fixed for R800 (as I live overseas) .. at home I opened the phone and re adjusted the connections - display is completely functional again. When at the shop i forgot a sim card. emailed a day later - shop would get back to me-- still waiting . Gave feedback on their form explaining why I was not happy - message on the screen a manager will contact you ... still waiting. I am sure they can do a decent repair... but I have noting but a bad experience. (agent at the desk was friendly though)

I have been through a major rough patch in 2017 with my phone being repaired by people who simply cant get it right. The Action TV repair shop on Kloof Street managed to overcharge me with a failed R2300 repair that ended in me needing to seek assistance elsewhere.Hoping I would find some better assistance at the grand WeFix store, that looks ever so palace like and fit for the Queens phone repair, I was encountered with quite the opposite.I have to give it to them, their reception staff is extremely friendly and gave me a very good impression at first. I was given a quote, two days after handing in my phone for repair. The quote amounted to a high number of R3200. I was not happy about this but I decided to trust the professional look of the WeFix establishment. After the quote was approved I was told that the phone would be fixed in 5-7 working days.Alas, a month and a few days later I am writing this review to let people know that I have been utterly dissapointed in the level of service at WeFix.I went into the store about a month after handing the phone in for the first time, once again greeted wonderfully by the staff. When I asked about my phone and why I hadnt received any communication in the last 3 weeks, I was told that they had not received any parts for it yet. I proceeded to ask how it had already been 3 weeks without any parts even arriving and I was told that the warehouse shuts down over Christmas. Fair enough, the Christmas season is a known holiday and I can live with that, yet if it is already the 5th of January and I handed my phone in on the 6th of December, I did expect a level of service over at least the week before or after Christmas. Especially if Im paying such an overpriced fee for a simple LCD error. When I asked the kind lady at the counter if I could have any form of compensation for the late execution of the repair, she left to ask her manager, who was hidden at the back of the store, if I qualify for any compensation or discount. She returned with the news that I am not entitled to a discount because the parts for the repair have to be paid for by WeFix, directly to Samsung, and they cannot negotiate the price with them... I was however told that I may or may not receive a free screen protector at the value of around R150.In my understanding, WeFix sells the repair service, not the service to buy parts from others. My concern is not whether or not WeFix can afford the parts for the repair. My concern is the repair, that Im paying for, coming through on time. This issue of the parts being expensive for Wefix is none of my concern and I truly think any sound manager should know this. The money for the discount should come out of their own pocket and they should execute the service they promised at any cost rather than explaining their profit margins to a paying customer!Before I get any bad blood from people who believe that this comment is petty or overdone, I did decide to write a personal email first. I got a very quick response from the manager who said that she would review my claim for a discount as soon as possible. That was also a long 3 days ago...Because of WeFix I have been phoneless for a month and 7 days now with no real effort to help me. I dont wish to harm the business of the store with this review for I have certainly not only experienced bad things here in the past. A few years ago one of my iPhone repairs was delayed too and I got the whole thing for free without even a frown given to them. They approached me with a free repair. That and the superficial service level being extremely friendly gave me reason not to go down to one star, but leave a 2 star review to be fair on the positives I have taken from the store.I hope to get an adequate compensation in due time. If I am to get one, I will raise my esteem of the WeFix establishment as this would be the responsible and professional thing to do from their side.Thank you for your time.

Awesome experience, I called up with a problem, when I asked to speak to the manager they reception put me straight through, Jade told me to come in. I called up for directions Grant was very polite and eager to help, When I got there the ladies at the front Abigail, Neelfan and Dayaan were very bubbly, friendly and helpful. Jade came to reception took my phone and 5mins later my screen had been replaced and Im back online. I remembered my Hello, how are you, Please and thank you and the response I got couldnt have been better. Thank you We Fix, Highly Recommended

Good Day WeFixI had been into the apple store and was told that they are discontinued and parts would have to come from overseas, may take a month and would cost pretty much the same price as the actual Ipod and would be pointless to repair and would be better to purchase a new one.Subsequently I popped over to the WeFix store in town and I would just like to express my gratitude for your assistance with my Ipod as stated below. Gobsmacked, the assistant (Dayaan de Villiers) took in my Ipod whilst I waited and brought it back within less than a minute (actual time) and it was fixed for R 250!!!!!!!!! Please, if possible, thank the assistant as well from my side!I truly appreciate the speedy service, capability of your technician, pricing and the short timeframe of my visiting the store! I would not recommend this store.I booked my Huawei P9 for a screen replacement on Thursday 13 July. Before dropping my phone I was told it would take 2 hours to repair. I brought my phone into the store, they find out theres no stock, gave an estimate of 5 working days or less. I was told they would try to source from other stores and if not check with head office for stock.On Friday I called, could not get through to anyone. Monday I called could not get through to anyone. Sent an email. Received an email Tuesday morning saying someone will contact me. Nobody contacted me.Thursday I called at around 9.30am the phones voicemail was still on. I called head office, the lady Moon said she will try to get someone to call me. The manager Bridget eventually called me at 6.50pm informing me that they had called Samsung and can only get a screen in 4-5 weeks.I was extremely perplexed as I booked in a Huawei, where would she have gotten the information for a Samsung. I then called the head office again on Friday morning to escalate the situation and thankfully Moon was able to sort something out. Giselle then contacted me and assured me the phone will be repaired and she even offered to get it delivered to me. I have now received my phone.The problem though is why is it necessary to have escalated the situation when the situation should have been managed competently. Why did nobody get in contact with me to give me updates on the status of events? Why was there only action after insisting on better service? Surely this should not be how business is run.It is probably because my repair was under warranty and there was no payment....just thinking...
