The Special Chicken food has been a life saver for both our dogs - an 11 year old golden retriever and 5 month old yellow lab. Our vet specifically recommended the food. Since starting them on this diet, they both are excited to eat and episodes of diarrhea and stomach upset were resolved immediately. And their coats look amazing! So glad one could find a store like Vondi’s around here.

I leave my 2 puppies with the daycare team and we couldnt be happier. The handlers are so sweet & truly care for their doggies. Its a really good feeling knowing my babies are in safe hands. They even get regular walkies to one of our local Sea Point beaches!

Ive always had active healthy pets but made the switch to Vondis because one of my dogs developed allergies. The allergies cleared up, but the most visually obvious change is that my two mutts have the most beautiful healthy coats. I get compliments all the time on how good looking and healthy they are. I attribute it to their great Vondis diet.

One thing that I really liked about Vondi’s is that their natural selections line uses human-grade organic vegetables and free-range meats. I like to eat organic myself, so of course, I like to feed my dogs’ organic as well! My dogs’ health is important to me so I want to feed them good food that will keep them healthier. Vondi’s also includes a special nutrients mix in their food with natural supplements and vitamins to help my dog get all the nutrients they need.

Vondi’s are by far the most ethical, sustainable and reliable raw dog company i’ve tried. Been a customer for a while now after trying a few and the quality of foods delivered every single time made me stick with them as a reliable source of good food for my dog.

Agree with Jen. Also writing from Jhb. Since the change in management, the quality is sorely lacking. It looks and smells raw and our doggos dont want to eat it anymore. Been a faithful customer for months but if the food comes through the same again, i believe the old JHB owners are starting their own new brand and will move to them! Really poor quality from what we had before!Changed the above to 5 again, was delivered a new batch of the quality we know and love!

I started feeding my puppy raw after a friend advised me that some foods can be full of a lot of rubbish. She absolutely loves the Vondi’s frozen foods and the meaty treats as well. It’s now my ‘one stop shop’ for all her food and treats. I find it easy to order online too. So I don’t have to walk into their store again after the first time.

Service is very good but the frozen dog food I bought is not worth the price. Its is pretty much mostly water and starch, like brown rice, wheat, mielie. I wont purchase again. Better to buy frozen veg, chicken necks/hearts/Livers and give that to my dogs with some rice. Far more protein and less starch. But as I said, service is very good.

So! After spending an absolute fortune at the vet for my 4 year old cockers black yeasty ears, I decided to look at diet. After much research, I decided on a raw diet for him and Vondis foods seemed perfect. Well, we are 4 months into using this and the difference is incredible.He wolfs down every meal and enjoys the wide range of treats. Having been back n forth to vets for various tablets, treatments and powders and becoming incredibly frustrated at the state of his black and red raw ears, I am over the moon to say we have cracked the problem.I have honestly never seen his ears look so healthy and clean every day. All it took was a simple switch to a decent diet unlike the processed dry rubbish from before. I would never go past raw again. He is thriving on it.Thank you Vondis for helping us have a healthy happy dog again.

My two Staffies thrive on the Vondis frozen food. Since switching my 15 year old girl over to the Vondis special diet, she has got a completely new lease on life. The vets are amazed at her improvement in mobility and overall sense of joy. My young boy also loves his food and is growing beautifully. His chicken allergy is not an issue with the varieties that are on offer and his coat looks beautiful. It makes such a difference to know exactly what is going into your dogs food.

Such a great product the pet CBD oil!! Have been giving it to my pug religiously now for month since discovering she has a tumour. Her appetite has returned in a big way and she wolfs her food down once it’s laced with the oil. Look forward to reporting great results.

The manager was extremely rude and interrupted me while I was having a very good conversation about the products with one of the assistants. As she was interrupting she just showed an invoice to the assistant and called her away. I asked her then, who is going to assist me, then she came back with a really tight attitude. Also, I tried the pre-packed cooked food for a couple of weeks and my dog didn’t like it, plus the itching didn’t go away. I asked how much meat is in the meal and I was told around 17% meat rest are vegetables...

After our bulldog was diagnosed with Leukemia, we decided to switch to an all-natural organic diet and Vondis was the perfect solution. Not only do they make healthy holistic food which is far superior to anything you can buy at pet stores/vets, they also offered to prepare us specially formulated cancer packs which were mostly vegetable based with less grains and carbohydrates to assist with our dogs cancer treatment. The results have been ASTOUNDING, our sick little bulldog has never had such a healthy appetite - he literally wolfs down this food. Our weimaraner is equally obsessed, over and above her looking forward to devouring each serving, her stubborn weight gain problem has subsided and she is looking fit and slender again. Vondis prepares all their food fresh on site in Sea Point inside a kitchen fit for the best restaurants on the strip, and with ingredients like this, its an easy decision to switch from kibble to real food: chicken/ostrich/beef, brown rice, whole egg, carrots, celery, garlic, olive oil, fennel, spinach, red lentils, rosemary, sage, mint.... the list goes on. I wish we had found Vondis sooner, our dogs would have been far healthier and happier!!!

The product may be good, unfortunately execution and delivery are very poor.We ordered and paid on 5 October. We were called two days later saying they did not have stock but we will have our order by that Friday. Friday came and went. When we followed up, they said the supplier was late but we would have everything by the following Tuesday. Nothing was delivered by end of Tuesday. Again, we had to follow up. Then they said we would get it by 12 noon the following day. We finally received our order on 15 October at 14:00.It should not be a customers problem when suppliers and couriers are late. Stock should also not be advertised, so that orders are placed and paid for in good faith, when there is no stock. Most other sites either indicate that or state it is on back order. It is very misleading and not a good business model to only order from suppliers when a customer pays an order.In e-mails and calls Vondis also became very defensive with excuses. Things can happen, and with numerous other businesses we experienced the owner would get in his or her car and deliver personally. Such a shame for a family business who really should care about customers. I would be hesitant to order from Vondis online again.

Awesome service, excellent quality dog food. Cant get better in South Africa. And if anyone wants to tell you that your dog should be eating grain-free, raw paleo diets because wolfs dont cook, remind them that evolution also responds to outside influences not just to what a creature does itself - so it doesnt matter who did the cooking - dogs are not wolves and have evolved alongside humans, eating cooked grains and veggies along with meat for thousands of years, even though their humans did all of the cooking.
