Good place to shop, always a bargain around. Just need to be careful with the lifts in operation while people shop. Area should be cordoned off whilst loading/unloading.

1UP? More like 1DOWN!Today you lost me as a customer, 1UP. I spend R15,000 per year at 1UP, and have been a customer for years now, but your actions today lost me as a customer.I was told I wasnt allowed to enter the shop with any bags, I had to place them in a safe spot with the security guard or leave it in my car. The one bag had my debit card and money in it, the other two bags I use for packing my groceries. I informed the security guard of this, but she told me she cant give me access. I then tried to enter from the exit side as to speak to the supervisor/manager (as I have done before), but I was blocked by one of the guards (who checks the till slips) who said that I cannot enter from that side, I must enter from the entrance. I told him thats not possible because then I have to leave my bags at the entrance. I asked him to call the supervisor/manager, but he refused to do such a thing. This back and forth infuriated me so much, I decided to leave, stop coming to your store and rather went to another cash & carry shop.I understand that you might have a theft problem, but to not allow customers to bring their bags into the store is not the right way to go about your business. Your customers are after not just affordability, but also convenience. You took the latter away from me today.Since Im complaining about your store, Ill mention the following as well. I hate that forklifts are constantly operating around your store. Can they rather not operate after hours? It sucks walking around and you have a forklift suddenly hooting right behind you. Them continuously operating around me makes me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe, especially with some of the drivers looking like they are in their own world.Furthermore, you need to find a better way to store some of your goods and not block off a lot of the passages or make them very narrow. It doesnt allow for much social distancing.Lastly, many of your employees, managers and higher-ups dont even wear their masks properly. Its either below the nose or just dangling there. Doesnt make me feel safe.I have accepted the forklift, mask and packing issues, but I cannot accept the bag incident. Until that changes, I will no longer be a customer and will advise all friends and family members to avoid your shop.EDIT: I received an e-mail from 1 UP management. They essentially put all the blame on the security company/guard and refused to take responsibility. The security company gets orders from 1 UP management and the security company gives these orders to the guards. Management should stop acting all innocent and accept that they screwed up. You made yourself look even worse with that e-mail. Oi.

Good day. My shopping at 1 - up cash and carry was not a good one this morning. The heyster drivers were driving down the isles with no consideration for the customers. I approached the manager and told him, his reply was this is a wholesaler first priority. Wow what a response. I was thinking to myself what if a customer gets injured, then what would be the first priority. Shame on you with you leadership.

Extremely the best place to buy stock for starting youre business. What i can promise you is you wont regret it. Just one visit will boost youre self esteem and give you that positive feeling that , you can do it!

Shopping at 1Up is a nightmare reason for that is, you now busy shopping then you have to give way for the heisters/reach truck and the drivers keep on hooting while you in the passage... You see them coming they look at you and still hoot so annoying you cant even focus on what you must buy and they still expensive so dont be fooled thinking they cheaper than other places...

Love the prices at this place. I remember getting Cornflakes for R38 whilst having bought them for R54 at another Supermarket.

Bad experience as most of the staff at checkout not wearing masks properly and not covering their noses. Perhaps management will check cameras around 11.45am Saturday to confirm this.

This is what you call a one stop shop. Everything in house hold goods under one roof.. From food stuff to luxuries and cleaning goods. It is really nice to shop here and the prices is very competitive. And lots of daily specials.. Staff is very friendly and tell you at the till point about the specials. The company. Can invest in the till points or pay points. It really need to be upgraded. As well as the parking needs to be upgrade and the biggest headache is the bulk buyers. Blocking traffic.

Please tell the lady that is currently taking calls at the builders section to not have an attitude. Send this lady for telephone etiquette. She cut my call and was completely unapologetic. Then she had me holding for 3minutes.

Its huge. Although I expected better prices. Alotnof items are more expensive than checkers. Their specials are good though and worth a trip if you plan on buying alot from the specials. Overall staff very friendly and helpful. I went during the week so they werent busy, but Im sure it get very busy weekends. Worth a pop in.

Very busy on Saturday when I visited but I always feel like a thief when your slips get double checked at exit before you leave within 10 m from cashiers. This is why I try not to visit regularly as this same action caused 1000s patrons to not shop at builders instill they changed the system. On a positive note the opportunistic trolley pushers in the parking lot were not visible at all since the appointment of what seem to be friendly and efficient car guards. A great improvement well done.

Its a nice place to shop at in terms of them selling a majority of products in bulk and at lower prices. Sometimes it can be frustrating having to walk through the aisles and struggle to get past people, but overall getting what you deserve for your money is important and that is exactly what you get. A good place for Tuck Shop owners to stock up on their products.

Was surprisingly quick shopping experience for a friday morning...

Worst ever toilets, and I shop there every week. I have spoken to managers etc. I get more excuses than actions. I hope SOMEBODY does something about it. What is worse is that those toilets are for customers and staff. PLEASE treat us as you would want to be treated. I hope to see some improvements soon. Thanks, from a very disgruntled customer.
