I don’t believe you’d get better care or service anywhere in the world!I was a patient of Clifford Yudelman prior to moving from Sea Point to Montagu. I had an emergency 2 months ago and was unable to see the local dentist as fully booked but managed to get an appointment at a village close by.Problem not properly resolved and a week ago it flared up again…..badly! Waiting period to get back to see the previous dentist but when things got serious I contacted Clifford. I hadn’t seen him since prior to lockdown and even though I was 200km away he went out of his way to assist me, getting an appointment with the local dentist the same day, sending all my information on record through to the new dentists room and constant contact to keep me posted as things were unfolding. His prognosis was correct too and I’m now on strong antibiotics and know my problems will soon be a thing of the past.Clifford, I really can’t thank you enough for your help and outstanding care, and as I started off my review will end the same way….I don’t believe you’d get better care or service anywhere in the world! After looking at the before and after, I was like Wow! Whitening my teeth is probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. I can honestly say I am more confident, even in my walk. I speak up. I can’t say enough about the professional quality of care I received here. I am originally from the states and have had implants done there, coming to Capetown, I was a bit nervous that someone would be able to pick up where my periodontist in the states had left off. Dr.Mandy and her assistant Beatrice were amazing. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dental work and they did all they could to work with me on that. I left happy and relaxed and will consider them for all my dental needs and cannot recommend them highly enough.

It’s been a while since my first visit (30/09/2019) and follow up appointment (08/10/2019), and while I’ve always gone for “economical” decided, after recommendations and seeing reviews that I’d give OptiSmile a go. All I can say is I’m really pleased I did. From walking into the premises which are the most modern and up to date I’ve ever been in, helpful, friendly staff and meeting Clifford, I was blown away. Every detail of what would follow was explained and during my 2nd appointment I actually watched as an “inlay” for my tooth was made. It’s now been over a week and a half and all I can say is I’m thrilled I made the choice I did. You certainly get what you pay for!Thanks to you all.

I am currently on vacation in Cape Town, suffering with acute dental pain. The front of house staff at OptiSmile arranged an appointment for me at the last minute to suit my needs. The dentist with whom I had my first consultation was thorough and excellent in her approach. What was most impressive however was her willingness to ask her colleague for a second opinion given the complex nature of the problem. For me, this is a sign of a true professional who collaborates with a colleague to come to the best outcome for the patient. Dr. Yudelman, the owner and colleague in whom the first dentist sought counsel, was equally thorough in his approach. Moreover, given that I am continuing on my travels along the Garden Route, he provided details for me to stay in touch with him in relation to my progress and if needs be, to arrange follow up treatment through a recommendation of his along the Garden Route. The service I experienced at this practice was nothing short of exemplary. If you are a resident of Cape Town or simply a tourist with a spot of bad luck in need of dental help, I could not recommend OptiSmile at SeaPoint more highly.

Visiting the Dentist can be an anxious experience for some people but wait till you visit Optismile - it will leave you wanting to see your Dentist more often than not. Dr Yudelmans practice came highly recommended by a friend and after much deliberation, decided to book our appt. It turned out to be a very efficient and admin focused pre-appointment which eliminates the whole form completion process when you arrive at the practice. The appt booking is streamlined and the experience at the practice is clean, soft and open. Dr Yudelman is very professional and explains what hes doing and what to expect as he moves through the check up process. The receptionist is warm and welcoming and they have a very rigid hygiene process when you enter the practice, even giving you a free surgical mask to wear. The place feels like youre walking into a casual Scandinavian remote-working environment. I loved it and cannot recommend it enough! Oh yes, and my teeth look great!

Emma is one of those unique specialists you’d be lucky to meet. She is an expert in her field, takes a professional interest in her clients and exudes energy and passion for what she does. Emma ensured that the Zoom teeth whitening process was painless, interesting and even brought a fun element to the overall experience! Prior to the teeth whitening Dr Harris worked his expert magic on my teeth using Invisalign Orthodontics aligners; the results were remarkable and the process was seamless. Both Emma, Dr Harris and the Optismile team have exceeded my expectations at every level! They are way ahead of the curve and I cannot recommend them more highly!

Just got my teeth cleaned! The dental hygienist was gentle, unrushed and caring. The dental-hygiene operatory was spacious and facing the ocean, the practice is spotless, modern and brimming with the most upto date dental technology. The admin staff is super friendly and accommodating. You would expect this in LA and New York, not Cape Town. Just wow!

I was traveling to South Africa for a holiday and needed to have some dental work done. After seeing the great reviews for optismile I decided to send off an email and inquire about an appointment and procedure for an inlay on a broken molar. . I didnt expect a response right away as it was Friday after business hours but Clifford himself wrote back assuring me he could help. And all the subsequent communications were amazing. We chatted over WhatsApp even having a phone call to discuss, his kindness and knowledge put me at ease. Not to mention the amazing response times on WhatsApp, I was truly amazed. I was given an apointment time that wouldnt interfere too much with my travels and when it finally came time to get the work done (inlays and filings) the friendly staff, amazing views, gorgeous facility and the reasuring words from Clifford got me through all that in a jif. And no sensitivity afterwards either! I had my teeth cleaned by Emma as well and it was the most effective and gentle cleaning Ive ever had. My gums stopped bleeding just a day after that cleaning (and Ive had cleanings done elsewhere that did not help) Clifford is really capable, passionate and genuinely nice person who Im really glad I put my trust into. It will be tough to find this level of service elsewhere. Thanks again to the team at Optismile :)

This review is a little late as Ive been going to Optismile for around 4 years now. You could say Ive tested almost much every aspect of dentistry there and I really cant emphasise how professional and meticulous Clifford and the Optismile team are. Ive always been given the the very best options and advice. Clifford is a perfectionist, always trying to ensure minimal intrusion but maximum results. The clinic is equipped with the very latest equipment and tools and offers just about every dental service I can think of.Ive been taking my daughters to Optismile for a few years too and even my youngest feels comfortable and at home with the entire team. Both kids have connected with Clifford in a way that makes them feel comfortable having her teeth treated, something they were nervous about previously.Finally, its clear for anyone to see that Clifford has a real passion for the industry and for people. It shows in every aspect of this clinic from the minute you walk in.

Dr. Yudelman is a fantastic dentist. I got him recommended after a bicycle accident and he repaired several of my front teeth, put in four crowns, and replaced all the old amalgam fillings. His high tech equipment and attention to detail is amazing. And the dental practice makes it so comfortable and nice to be at the dentist.Now that I dont live close anymore I travel all the way from Norway to go to this specific dentist! And I can really recommend it for others too - a holiday in Cape Town combined with a trip to the dentist. OptiSmile is excellent in every way. My son chipped his tooth at 6pm on a Saturday night. We were not patients at OptiSmile but found the OptiSmile number following a desperate search for an emergency dentist. Cifford was at the practice within 15mins of taking my call. He immediately gained the trust of my 7 year old son, sealed the tooth to protect it, and within the week had fitted a permanent cap to the tooth that looks exactly like the old tooth. He also picked up other dental problems that had been missed by another dentist at a check up we had a month before. OptiSmile use the latest technology and very importantly a magic wand for the anesthetic so my son did not feel a thing. Clifford has a fantastic bed side manner and explains everything he is doing visually through scans and x-rays - full transparency so you know exactly what you are paying for. In addition his pricing is very much in line with other dentists we have visited despite, in my view, offering a far superior service. OptiSmile is definitely the dentist my family will be using going forward.
