This must be the best DHL office in SA! The staff at the Lower Loop Street DHL Express office is professional and very helpful, with a special mention to Candice and Zimasa. We send many international parcels and they really know what they are doing and are very friendly as well. Covid protocol is followed and the offices are clean and attractive. Highly recommended.

Worse service ever!! Still waiting for the Call Centre Manager, Busisiwe Thsabalala, to come back to me regarding my complaint. I posted my complaint on HelloPeter. DHL lied, they said they responded to me privately which they didnt. Call Centre Agents told me they emailed my contact details to Busisiwe; she says they didnt. Clearly their culture is to lie to customers.

Vendor sent me a package from Belgium via Air freight/courier to Cape Town. It was sent in october, it is now 23/11 with not one call or one email from DHL. I had to send every email and make every call to get feedback and updates, even after (empty) promises of feedback and communication. I feel that I need to do the work DHL gets paid to do. I will never use DHL again.

Service was good. Great covid19 protocols in place (June 2020) and I had taken my own pen but even their pens went unto a deep clean between clients. I liked that. Why not five stars? Just the price was hectic to send a passport abroad at R713. 00 (Insurance included which was about R70)

Ghl has become insanely expensive. for a small box just a bit more then 5 kg sent to Europe you will be asked for about 300 euros, plus will not be warned about the upcoming costs on the other side. It seems that states are frantically looking for a ways to legally enrich themselves at the expense of citizens after unnecessary quarantine. Or it’s dhl deal.So, please ask all the cost you could have before to send your items or letters for not being surprised at the end.

While DHL is the most reliable international courier company I have used, (hence the three stars) they are still routinely committing fraud every day.As part of their process, they reweigh packages, and the new measurements they take are often significantly larger than the actual measurements of the package. When they do this, you will have to spend hours of your time writing them emails so they can gradually, over an extended period of time, eventually get around to refunding you. The refund process seems to take a minimum of 2 weeks, with several emails that you will have to send explaining to them how centimetres work.If you are a DHL customer, I highly recommend you check every single invoice, and take photos with measurements of all your packages before you send them.This is a common problem with pretty much every courier company I have dealt with. The first courier company to prove to me that they are not committing fraud every single day, will get a 5 start review from me.

DHL, purest example of excellence. I shipped my passport to the Egyptian Embassy in Pretoria. In the first trial, the embassy, unfortunately did not take my application due to an outstanding payment. About three times, DHL attempted the delivery to no avail. At the end, I decided to reroute the documents to a friends residential address. During the first two deliveries, no one was available to pick the documents.But their staff was super helpful and responded to my emails/phone calls - keeping me updated almost in real time.My stressed was eased knowing well that everything was taken care of.Thank you for calming my holiday preparations!😇😇

I sent a laptop charger cable to NZ. The process went smoothly when I filled out the forms and packaged it.However, when it got to NZ the cable had been cleanly cut through! There was a label saying it had been security checked. So, whoever did the check CUT THROUGH the cable for some completely bizarre reason! Why?! This was not an accident when you think of it being damaged during transport, this was clearly cut neatly through the cable. Now Ive wasted my money entirely on sending this item.So, if youre sending electronics, well, dont.

They dont take deliveries after 5pm. This after the lady from the customer service line suggested that it was open till 6 and I could deliver after hours. Furthermore, it states in the DHL pamphlet that Extended opening times make it easier to drop off packages anytime. That aside, I dealt with two different ladies at reception who were both very professional and fast.

Will never make use of DHL again - being told my parcel will be delivered this morning, then tomorrow (they will pick the parcel from the warehouse now) - then being told its on a vehicle already actually and will be delivered to me by 15:30 pm today... So DHL doesnt know where their parcels are on route to, on a DHL vehicle (and that it was already on a vehicle?)... I just received my package, so it is quite alarming that they didnt even know it was on the vehicle.I will definitely rather pay more and go with the competition next time, they quoted tax and duties (and delivery) at a better rate; I just thought DHL will be more efficient. Apparently I was wrong.

Quick service but hard to find. Tucked away on the side farthest from the street made it difficult to find from the road in. Also, parking is an issue in cape town city centre and it has no parking outside the business.

Cant be bothered to do their job. My parcel has been sitting with Customs for 2 weeks, no updates on what the issue is. When finally getting a hold of someone who can put a sentence together, I was advised that they require further documentation. Proactiveness in EXPRESS services is the way to go. Do your job!

Worst service I have received in my life!!! Ordered two products from one website with different shipping companys. One being DHL and the other FedEx. The DHL parcel was ordered on the 25th of February 2017 and the FedEx parcel on the 3rd of March 2017. Today (6th of March 2017) I received my parcel from FedEx!!! I have yet to recieve my parcel from DHL as they have failed to communicate with the third party they handed my parcel to, which is Ram Couriers!! And not forgetting the fact that I was taxed R710 for my parcel!!!

They unpacked my package and itemised every single item right there on the front desk in full view of every other customer & member of staff. In all my years this has never happened to me at any postal office in the world.There was not even any concern for privacy.They also will not send any medication whatsoever, even off the shelf things without a receipt. Typical African needless bureaucracy. Charged 2000ZAR ($150USD) for a small package (6kgs) from SA to Malawi. This all took approximately half an hour whilst being served by miserable customer service agent. Never again.
