Minimalistic, modern cafe that’s perfect for breakfast/brunch. Food is fresh and delicious and staff is friendly. The food portion may not be desirable amount for some people. There’s a clothing shop and skincare corner as well, so take a look as well ;)
Beautiful space in De Waterkant. Love the focus on sustainability, and the variety of healthy bowls on offer.Hubby had the Breakfast roll served with fresh avo, eggs and crispy bacon and liked it. I had the Buckwheat and pumpkin seed Pancakes with fresh fruit which was out of this world.Service is great and for breakfast its a bit pricey but worth it. Tip automatically added to the bill.
Excellent private space, great breakfast and professional staff. Would definately suggest a visit.
This is such a great place the look and feel is so fresh. Love that they do food, coffee, and high end designer clothes and they carry my favorite Aesop. Do wish they had something for the kids to do. Parking is abit of a mission so make sure you factor that in when trying to find parking. The food is really special and tasty. I would say its one of Cape Towns best spots. Its a must to go there and visit. Also great wifi and customer service.
Great spot for breakfast although they are open all day.Simple, modern space with amazing food and service. Prices are also really decent for the portions and fresh quality in comparison to maby other restaurants around the city that are often more expensive and offer less. There is an outside deck that is perfect for sunny mornings. Pet friendly, good Wi-Fi and relaxed atmosphere!Visited here on a number of occasions for breakfast and always had an amazing experience - highly recommend Loading Bay for locals and out of timers.
I love Loading Bay. It has been my favourite spot for breakfast for years although it’s always a craving for their burger that leads me back here - even if I am actually on my way somewhere else. Natural wines, a good selection of soft drinks and juice as well as excellent coffee - what more can you ask for? Well, I do enjoy being able to practice my French with some of the staff who are always friendly and attentive.
Good healthy food. Reasonably priced
A must visit every trip to Cape Town and particularly on Sunday for my favourite Flapjacks!
Great buns to go with coffee, and trendy mens outfitters on site as well.
Super hip; great work lunch /meeting spot. Mushroom rague is incredible :) also you can buy Aesop skin products, win!
Minimal nice place. small space. small menu. super delicious food. no temp. check. did not like cinnamon bun.
I really loved the food But it only gets a 3 star rating as the service needs to be taken up a notch! I ordered a cuppachino which I requested with my breakfast however it came well before. Not as per my request. There were small errors such as sugar not being on the table, having to wait for water for an extended period of time. Eventually looked passed them once I tried the sandwich. Ordered Classic grilled cheese, but a spin on the classic.
Top 3 breakfast place in Cape Town. Possibly the best as they very consistent. Great coffee as well
The food and drinks are always outstanding, but the fact that NO Covid sanitizing or screening is done is unacceptable, over and above that youre allowing too many people inside.
Good service, excellent food, one of the places with more reasonable prices.
A quick breakfast. Enjoyed the meal
Delicious, nothing really healthy, but you go here for taste
Best food, best coffee, best service, best vibe.
Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. Worth a try, you wont be disappointed.
Its very very good. After At Cap town, I had not yet to eat a good avocado! The portion are generous and the staff very nice!!!!The vegetable juice are nice also!
It has an architectural touch inside. That makes you wonder if the owner is in that field but then you quickly reminded by the food that the owner is a genius. The chicken and sweet potatoes dish was amazing. The best Ive had. The green juice with ginger was perfect too. The waiter was attentive and the overall vibe was perfect. Great to do solo or meet friends.
Pricing could be better but they never skimp on ingredients, quality and service which is why they deserve a 5star review.
I love this place! Very good quality of the food and the best service!Everything is so fresh and healthy. Wish we had an awesome place like this in Amsterdam!
Good coffee, lovely decor and a very relaxed vibe. Food looked amazing, although we didn’t order any. Finding parking nearby can be an issue though.
Still thinking about their cinnamon rolls! The most stunning interior complemented by delicious breakfasts and great coffee. We will definitely be back to try out some of their lunch options.
We ate at here for a quick breakfast in Cape Town and were pleasantly surprised by this place! The service was awesome, the vibes were oh so cool, and the food was simple, healthy and amazing. The coffee was incredible. We shared the poached eggs and avocado on eggs and the fruit, yogurt and granola bowl. Every dish that came out from the kitchen around us looked perfect and we wish we had more room for some of the other dishes. The men’s shop above the eatery was super cool with ultra helpful and knowledgeable staff. Awesome gem in Cape Town we were so happy to learn about.
Amazing food, coffee, service and clothes!
I love this place! Great interior but the best is quality, ethical food and great service. Mindful choices and wonderful owners. The clothing and grooming sections upstairs all use greening practices. Love this place to bits!
Well the food is good, definitely enjoyed my breakfast but wouldve loved a bit more(maybe salmon eggs Benedict on the menu). Atmosphere & service is great. Expected much more but wont be rushing back anytime soon. All I can say now is that I wanted to try The Loading Bay and now I have😊
Farm to table, the food is always fresh and tasty. The coffee is excellent, they exclusively use Espresso Lab beans so if you don’t fancy a trip to The Biscuit Mill to visit them head to Loading Bay instead. I used to think Loading Bay was expensive, but the ambiance, service, food and coffee make it worth it and if you’re comparing apples and eggs it’s actually cheaper than the over priced market goods at the Oranjezicht Market (the one in Granger Bay by the V&A).
Upscale and well decorated coffee shop, restaurant and store. Well located in a very trendy part of town. The coffee is good and well priced and there are a range of food options; Ive only eaten there once and it is a bit expensive for what you get. Sells Monocle products and acne jeans
Restaurant, Aesop shop, and mens wear shop all in one space. The people are friendly and really helpful. We even got some good Cape Town tips from one of the staff.
Nice atmosphere. They serve espresso lab coffee... So very very excellent. Food was amazing and service was top notch. Highly recommended.
A great lunch, but perhaps I caught them on an off day coffee wise. After hearing a lot about Loading Bay, I was keen to visit during my last trip to Cape Town.I had 2 flat whites and felt the milk treatment was a little subpar, great tasting coffee though. Will definitely be back to give them another shot on my next visit to CT.
Awesome hipster breakfast in CPT. I had the poached eggs with avocado toast and mushrooms. Those buns that are cinnamon and cardamom are awesome. And served hot and with butter. Yum!
Busy place..Decent becomes abit rowdy so dont go there for a business chat
Excellent fare from an excellent host, the grouch. The food is spectacular in a clean modern scandi style restaurant, with a tier upstairs with some beautiful clothes. The food is marvelous, the juices too! Would definitely recommend!
The worst sevice in CT! Waited more than 45min for breakfast that never arrived. The waiter couldnt even remember what we had ordered. Not even worth the 1 star rating. Walk down to Origins for friendlier, efficient service with great food
Really good food. Enjoyed the selection of coffee and teas available.
Good food. Interesting drinks. Not too keen on a cloths store inside a restaurant
Great food, friendly staff, really enjoy spending time here. Good place for breakfast or lunch, meetings, or some freelance work. Check out the shops adjacent, the Aesop range sold upstairs is incredible, and incredibly pricey but with beautiful branding.
You feel like you are in a magazine (Monocle to be precise)
All round wow!!! Awesome vibe with great service and food!!! Definatly a place to recommend!!!
Nice. But pretty much in the dark ages with regards to vegetarian or vegan options.
Appalling experience! We just ate here now, the food took over 30 minutes; twice we asked for an update and never had anyone come back to communicate why there was a delay. When we received the bill, a sidedish that we had ordered but that never came was on there, as was a pot of tea that had been spilt! I had to ask the owner to come over (he avoided coming to our table!), he was very rude and aggressive . I told him he should treat customers better and he proceeded to give excuses why the food was late. He very rudely said “what do you want?” And never once apologised - at which point he threw our bill on the floor and said “I’ll cover your bill” and walked behind our seats to the door and stood there like he was walking us out! Unacceptable and appalling. I can only imagine how he treats his staff. If you believe people should be treated with respect and that a business should take ownership of problems, DO NOT EAT HERE!
Excellent quality clothing, great coffee everyone should go there.
Rude and incompetent.I ordered a burger (well done). I was served a burger that was raw inside. When I brought this to the attention of (who I think is) the owner, he was completely, unsympathetic, unapologetic and down right rude. It was as if I was at fault. My burger was taken back to the kitchen only to return moments later. Given the piping hot, steaming sloppy mess I was presented with, they must have put the whole burger (including bun and garnish) in the microwave.I wont be back (ever).
Unparalleled attention to detail. Incredible coffee to boot
Wonderful little street cafe, offering delicious menu options and excellent coffee. The clothing boutique shop is also a nice addition. A favourite spot when Im in the area.
Very trendy, great if you enjoy burning money. Pretty expensive without much additional quality/value. Also: forcing us to buy mineral water because Cape Towns water is no longer safe to drink is not only untrue, but it also contradicts your claimed ethos of being a space committed to facilitating an ethical, conscious movement of daily habitual activities.
Another absolutely an amazing Lebanon restaurant to visit. The food is just amazing.
Service here is scant, we waited long for our food. The food is good, well presented and tasty with an unusual flair and flavour. The food is expensive however. The venue is modern and airy with clean lines and a decent atmosphere.
The food and service is great, our waiter memorised our orders perfectly. I had the hotcakes and they were delicious. The only gliche is for some reason the bill could not be split according to who ordered what. We noticed the table next to us also had the same problem. Im sure were not the first group who wanted to do this. Sometimes a party doesnt necessarily want to split the bill evenly. We assumed with computerized billing it should not be a problem, but it was here. Not sure if it is a training or technological issue. Regardless, beware if you want to split bills here. Otherwise, everything else was delightful.
The food is great, good health drinks range and pleasant service.Coffee is good, it wont make you wish you had gone next door. Another good place to write that prize winning novel.
Very friendly and attentive service! Great coffee and food!
One of the best Avo Toast in town! Great coffee and service as well!
Really yummy but pricey..reflected in the food. I prefer to.add my own tip~but they add 10% automatic
Great service! Best staff. Comfortable, cosy, good food. Just a total win. And there is a clothing and cosmetics shop within the restaurant
Beautiful decor and yummy food. Great shopping experience. A bit dissapointing that there is no gluten free option
Excellent place for coffee and morning breakfast. Excellent service. Highly recommended.
One of my favourite breakfast places in Cape Town, try the tuna tartare with Pancho egg, amazing!
The coffee here has everything going for it, and while the food is great its exceptionally over priced with a dose of De Waterkant tax slapped on top.The fact they charge you extra for garnish is a joke.
This place became my morning haunt during my Cape Town stay. Great cafe, great clothing store and great people who work there. Cant fault.
Absolutely awesome shop... High end products at competitive prices too, very professional stuff and uses professional TAILORS for their repairs such as KING W. TAILORS love it.
Very nice place for breakfast and brunch. Nice food and excellent service. Good coffee.
Great place, buy clothes have food and coffee.
This place has some of the most aesthetic Scandinavian minimalist rustic chic Decor that Ive ever seen, and the food is great too. The space is large and open, and the cosmetic and clothing shop that is part of it is fantastic
Really friendly service. The best cardamon buns in town! Good coffee.
I always feel good when i get at Loading bay.
Grt coffee. Superb food. Stylish and well curated!
Loved the food and the service was first class. Ill be back
The best place to get work lunch. There is a clothing shop inside and a lot of friendly staff
Great breakfast place with good food and friendly staff
Favourite coffee shop to visit. Baristas are very friendly, coffee is consistently fantastic.
Good food. Awful pushy inattentive staff. Rude barista.
