Famous piece of structural Engineering created by Prof. Nervi (who also solved the structural problems of the tunnel through the mountains on the N1 to Cape Town). It is an ugly white elephant of a place with echoing acoustics, sometimes used for exhibitions and Film sets or base camps. Avoid it. There is nothing there for you unless you are interested in civil engineering.

Good Hope Centre is a good place, secured, the securities are friendly and its safe place inside but outside when its late its not safe, the guys that are sleeping outside might take chances but if you fight back they wont fight back because they are scared of the securities might caught them

The Good Hope Centre is currently closed and going through renovations. But this place has a lot of history.

Always an experience being here. Full of passages and hidden nooks, and getting very old and dilapidated now. Loved watching an ice show here many years ago. Also enjoyed a Chris de Berg concert with Mango Groove. Had a fantastic Pet Expo here too. So a very versatile venue all round, central, parking limited but very accessible by public and private transport.

Well it use to be the most important place for entertainment and other conference events

Its gold the gender rush in Woodstock. You even find the all the way turn decision makers doing it for free. What doing you expect to get ninani. At Good hope Centre I was there for the 2010 World Cup South Africa Volunteers Programme farewell with food, fun and everything.

This place is curently being used for a film studio. The fact that there is more than one open area makes for an ideal venue

As usual.. Conference facilities were top notch.

This is one of cape Town places that is probably the most under utilised.It use to host major events from expose to wrestling matches.Now its mainly just a land mark
