I handed a small, antique revolver in to the George Branch to check for faults. It is a Cyclists Friend made around 1870! Handed in 3rd August and to date I cant get any information on where it is! I am going further on this and will contact police!

Wildman excellent store for all your shootings, hunting needs and good service all round. Sadly the experience for me is ruined by the gunsmith. The gunsmith shop is disorganized and dirty. There is a stock pile of gun parts on top of each other and just chaos. Gunsmith Geoffrey is extremely unprofessional in the manner he communicates with clients and sounds like more complaining about the work thats behind. I feel sorry for the clients gun stocks laying on top of each other covered in dust.I would strongly recommend wildman but i recommend you use a different gunsmith.

Most unfriendly sales people ever, came to purchase a Gun and was looking to purchase a holster, ammo and boxes but the salesman was so unapproachable I didnt bother.The cashier should be made a sales person, instead of these old grumpy men.

The management and staff were very kind and helpful when our house in Plettenberg Bay was destroyed during the June 2017 fires. My rifles and ammo were some of the few things I could fit in our bakkie when we were told to evacuate (leaving them in the safe was to risky). Finding a safe place, to legally keep them, until I could take care of them again, would have been very difficult if it was not for WILDMAN helping me. My rifles were in perfect condition when I fetched them. I am at a loss for words to express my gratitude towards WILDMAN (Okavanga Rd) and its management and staff for what they meant to me in my time of need.

I love shopping at Wildman. The service is brilliant as I get personal service. I am always greeted politely, and offered a nice fresh cup of coffee. If I am looking for something and they do not have it, they try to get it for me or refer me to a place where I can get what I am looking for. It is just a shame their name is being dragged down by the new gunsmith.Here is my experience with the gunsmith Geoffrey Baraball, working under GunCraft Master Gunsmiths in Wildman (Cape Gate).A month ago I made a booking with him (a month in advance for when he had no work booked) to drill and tap my rifle for recknagel swing off mounts for my day to day rifle. We agreed that I may bring my rifle in on the 5 August so I can drop the rifle and pick it up 2 hours later.The day came for me to drop my rifle and all I got was a blank stare. He said: Jammer maat, ek het heel vergeet, Ek moet hierdie ou wat Namibië toe gaan se geweer voor agt vanaand reg hê. He also stated that he can do it now but if he rushes things he may make a mistake. He said he will do it first thing the following morning. I accepted that. The next morning I drove over at 11:00 to pick up my rifle. I got there and again he said he has not done it yet, he will be able to start at 14:00 and be done by 17:00.As I got in my car do go over again I got a call from Geoffrey. He said he is sorry it is still not done yet, he has drilled the action, but his tap is blunt, so he will be able to get a new one by 09:00 the following morning, thus I may pick it up by 10. Again I accepted it.I went over again the following day at 10 to pick it up, (my rear express sight needs to be changed so I can use it again with the recknagel mounts and he said he can do it) got the rifle back on the 7th, and drove home.I got home and as I wanted to put the scope on I saw it, extra holes drilled into the action. I drove back very upset, but calm. I got there and asked him what happened, why are there extra holes? He said he was in a bit of a rush and accidently put the rear base on the front and drilled the holes wrong! I asked him why he did not tell me about it! That is a perfect place for rust to creep in!, he then put grub screws in.He said for his mistake he will sort out my rear sight next week free of charge. So I left my sight blade there.As I got home again I wanted to double check everything. Shocking the stay or double recoil lug is missing! Now shooting a magnum with out that could shatter the stock! The following day I had to go back again to pick it up from Geoffrey.After two weeks I contacted him to find out what is the verdict on my sights? Still to busy to do that, I contacted a couple of times, always the same story. On 22 August I went over to see what is happening. He said he will do it that day; I asked if I may wait, he said (in a very frustrated tone) yes but I will wait many hours! That was the last straw!I have NEVER had such bad service in my life. I took my sight and will never make use of his services again! It is plain disappointing and deceitful business that he deals in!I really hope that Wildman does not suffer because of Guncraft!

Always greeted with a friendly smile. Delicious coffee on the house while hubby talks to sales staff. The big difference is all store staff specialize in their own area and know what they are talking about. It gets one but few these days. So yes, they are definitely getting a 5 star from us.
