The staff at my local Pick n Pay are always friendly and helpful, and will go out of their way to help their customers. Like other Pick n Pays, its always clean and the shelves are kept stocked and neat, They did recently change the layout of the shelves, making it harder to rush in, get what you need and leave, but I respect their right to use selling strategies to improve their business.

Its is always a pleasure shopping at Melkbos PnP. Clean, always stocked and friendly a d helpfull staff.

I dont know if you even look at the reviews, but I have been shopping at Birkenhead Square Pick&Pay since 2012. The experience has been enjoyable so far, but I am getting a bit concerned at the rude and dismissive attitude of some of the cashiers. I will not mention names as I know that these individuals provide for their families. Many times the cashiers will deliberately start talking to their colleagues when a customer is talking. In my line of work I would be fired for that. Some of the cashiers are also passive-aggressive with a total lack of focus on service delivery. I know that we are all human beings, but we should treat each other with dignity and respect. This applies to customers (who are NOT always right) and service providers. Please let management know that they should remind the cashiers of the values of decency and profesionalism.

Store is clean but was disappointed with d packer at d till... she was more worried about her long nails then getting the packing done. Her supervisor should pick this up that she is inappropriately kitted to do her function

PnP (Grocer) is ripping people off over Christmas season. Prices on the shelves does not match the price you pay for. Happened 4 x already in the past 4weeks we were here on holiday. I would rather support another store where prices are correct and consistent.

Why,after Covid has what the so called normal food items in Pick n Pay become so expensive?Cold Meat,Bananas,Milk,Fresh Fruit,Vegetables,ginger...any basic and healthy!You supposed to be helping people after this Covid disaster,not ripping them off!I went there to get food for my smlabour staff working on a building site in the area,only to be horrified at the prices,as wished to buy them healthy food.It seems PnP has AI adjustment of pricing locked to certain geographical areas which are so called wealthy...like gambling sites,travel booking sites..when you search on them,ones odds become less.So what about the poor peeps?And what about the 82 year old woman and her son living out in the cold harsh elements at night just around the corner at that mall?Yes,I fed them too.Seems like corporates nowadays have lost touch with reality,and greed has now taken over.That only to find the fuel garage near this Mall putting up Solar panels at a cost of over R250 000 to provide energy during peak hours,and of course the main objective to claim tax!Same thing...shame on you PnP,you have fallen into the corporate stealing greed matrix..!I remember in my youth days,I new the PA to Raymond Ackerman he never left his door closed,he sponsored youths to the Olympics,provided swimming pools to certain colleges and did loads more for humanity...seems that legacy is over...and the door is shut,disconnected completely.Yes I am aware of the Sunflower Fund and what good it does for kids with donors for blood cancer,but the problem is that they have become corporate too!Called DKMS Africa,harvesting volunteers blood then selling it overseas...mmm really PnP. This is one of my favourite PnP store in Melkbos. Always tidy and clean. Veggies and fruit is well displayed as is their meat and deli section. Friendly staff makes for a lovely shopping experience.

Classic Melkies! This is a sure thing for an excellent lunch or dinner. Their pies both pepper steak and chicken are exceptional! Great wine selection and cosy setting

I avoid Pnp as much as possible. Their queues are always so long, no aircon or airflow to cope with waiting. With a mask on. The tellers seem to take forever with each transaction. I cant understand why they cant have 6 or 7 tills open. The last 2 visits was almost unbearable.

Nice and convenient. But need to send their staff for training. The bakery needs to have more of a variety. The butchery service have to wait for them. The cashiers are to loud. Shop always clean.

The Pick n Pay in Melkbosstrand is a convenience shop. The stock content has changed in the last year & many Brands have disappeared from the shelves.Whether it is due to Covid 19 or lack of stock, the shop is not as busy as it was a year ago & not all the items are on the shelves any longer. However you will be able to get the basics while you consider where to go to get the rest of items on your shopping list.

Its the Pick n Pay that my mom and i always go to. The selection of fruit and vegetables are always good.The meats are well prepared and reasonably priced.The other departments are the standard items that can be found.Best is that you are not left waiting, as usually all the tills are open with very friendly staff members.A good quality Pick n Pay that we will Always come back to.

The lady at the Delli did not know where to get price codes to prize the samosas and was not helpfull at all. We had to go and search for help with management and she did not go for help at all.

One star purely because the doors are open. The uselessness of this store is legendary. In the veg department, 2 items of the 4 for R100 deal was out of stock. Normal cheddar only 3 pieces in that section. Only three tellers open out of 16 (I think, could be 20).This was only this morning, a Sunday morning in a beach town where people flock to on a clear windless day like today.I have completed numerous surveys and comments about this store, even upfront confronted the manager 3 weeks ago, nothing has changed.Unless you are in a life/death situation and cannot for some reason get to the Checkers Seaside Village or PnP Eden (which is fantastic), go to the Melkbosstrand PnP.

Overall good, allthough I caught them charging a higher price for Airwaves at the till compared to the shelve price. When pointing it out the superviser was called and corrected it. No appology offered however which made me wonder if this is not a general approach.

Very clean and organized, staff are very friendly but this is cape town so that explains it. Was slightly confused at the new type of mangoes they are selling but had a good chuckle

Small town Pick&Pay.....everything you need at one shop. Fair priced goods and they honour the company motto....what you see on the shelve is what you pay. Personally experienced it. Good selection confectionery and lots of ready food for a quick beach picnic.

I bought fresh hake from pick n pay on 1st may 2020. Come home and cook it only to find out that the fish is old... Been frozen and defrost. This after they told me at the counter that its fresh. I am realy upset about false statements. If your people dont know what they do in a department dont let them deal with the public.

Rump advertised for R139.99 for 2kgs on 16.12.20 but none available in shop.

I find that this shop has completely gone downhill lately. When trying to order any cold meats at the deli counter, either nobody is there or you have to wait a good five to ten minutes for one of them to come out from the back. Another issue which I do find rather unprofessional of them is the way staff come out to do their personal shopping and push in front of clientele and sit holding up the tills with their personal chit chat and having money broken up into smaller denominations for their personal use. They then tend to crowd around the ladies left to man their tills and have a good old chit chat party while patrons are trying to get their items checked out.

This pick n pay has a wide selection with everything you need. Amazing fresh seafood and meats! The store is easy to navigate and if you cant find what you are looking for just ask a friendly store assistant.

My favourite PnP of them all. The fruit and veg are well lit and the displays appealing. Specials or cheaper brands are marked in red along the shelves so bargains can be spotted immediately without time consuming browsing. Extremely fast and friendly tellers. The center is being revamped and hopefully the toilets are sorted out because they are some of the worst I have experienced.

Excellent store, shelves are always well stocked, most of the staff are friendly, produce is always fresh. My only criticism is that once I looked for vanilla extract or vanilla pods and they had neither.

This store was recently renovated in a style that is curiously straight out of the early 90s. My biggest complaint with this store is that the staff are consistently poor in every respect. On every visit I find the cashiers to be unfriendly at best and at worst actually rude and even menacing. Good luck getting a friendly greeting or even so much as a smile from any of them - they all appear to hate working there. The deli staff are the only exception to this.

The fresh produce is disgusting. Bought a block of cheddar. Tried to grate it. It was powder. When I complained, the manager said it is my responsibility to check if the produce I buy is fresh. Not his problem. Oh! Did I mention the EXTREMELY RUDE staff? Disgusting! Not my fault that you are ACTUALLY lucky enough to have a job. SORRY. Sad to say but this applies to stores nationwide.

Well PnP is basically the same all over with certain nuances at certain stores. Such is the nature of PnP in Melkbos. Such a friendly helpful store with an enormous variety of fresh goods, tinned foods, frozen veg and a great bakery. Dont miss out on that great fresh bread and other delights.

Melkbos Pick n Pay is the grocery store to go to in that area! Their fresh produce, bakery, butchery and the rest of the store offers a wide variety of produce for all ones needs. I cant walk past their fresh flower stand without choosing a bunch for my home. Great quality!

Recently renovated the pick and pay has a good variety stock and friendly staff.Store operating hours are 8am to 8pm 7 days a week however I have had to wait for them to open well after 8am weekdays which is frustrating when you want to quickly buy something before work.

Good products available and wide variety but the other day when i was shopping we had some difficulty finding some things and the staff were not very enthusiastic to help. The manager has also not been helpfull and it took us half an hour to buy a few rolls and salami.

Went into this store on the 7th November 2019 to purchase some items.There was quite a few customers in the store but no waiting lines at the tills. I went to one till closest to the alley where I have done my shopping, and I was the next customer to be helped. While the lady at the till was busy with the customer in front of me and told me she was waiting for some goods that the costomers partner went to fetch, she directed me to the next till. At the next till, the lady there sat behind her till and without a greeting or friendly smile, she told me to go to the cashier two tills from her which was not busy.I walked over to that till, put my items down. The cashier looked and stared at me. I waited for a friendly greeting and nothing came from her.I greeted her and waited for a greeting back and still she just stared at me.Then I asked her if she is going to help me and with much effort she responded: I am waiting for a voidShe was sitting at that till, looking like she has no interest to be there at all and showed no friendlyness, no customer service and no professionalism at all.I grabbed my items and looked for an available cashier willing to help me and yes, I did started to complain loudly about the poor, unprofessional and unfriendly service.I was helped and swear never to go to this Pick n Pay again.That cashiers need to realize a few things:1) It is due to customers that shops regular there, that allows them to have a job and salary.2) Most customers also does not feel like going to a shop and spend money on necessities. At least the cashiers friendlyness and professionalism, can make customers, like me, want to return to that shop regularly.And lastly:3) Pick n Pay is according to me a very professional orrientated customer service outlet. I often go to Pick n Pay at Blouberg. West Coast Village, and there the staff is friendly, helpfull, professional and always greets first. That tells me that they all enjoy their jobs and therefore give their best to their employer.Sadly to say, from my first experience at Pick n Pay Melkbos, due to unfriendly and unhelpfull cashiers, I will not return to your shop again.
