At the watch department this morning I chose a watch to purchase. While the sales assistant Jason was busy finding the box for the watch another customer wanted assistance. Jason asked her which watch they are interested. Once she mentioned the brand, he immediately decided to stop helping us and help her instead as it was a more expensive watch brand than what I was buying.Needless to say, my husband handed him the watch back and we left. This is why you store is losing business. Pathetic service. I went and bought a watch at your competitor and got brilliant service, therefore will be closing my account with you and will not be back. Will also ensure anyone who is willing to listen will do the same.

A retailer that has gone through numerous financial stresses. And this is reflected in the service and the skill sets of staff as I suspect the good staff have left for greener pastures. The staff member who had to man the specific beauty stand arrived 23min late for work. I was advised a gift receipt couldnt be issued but they would do a receipt re-print. Once the reprint was done, it clearly states gift receipt on top. Go figure. Their telephone was incorrect on Google Maps so I updated it but to get the number was also a daunting task. This in itself speaks of challenges to lift from mediocre to acceptable.

Clothing are hanging on rails like a school bazaarIts not even steamed looks like it was packed straight from the manufacturers packaging.

My daughters Edgars card was stolen from her while her and her baby were asleep and the thiefs were able to purchase on her account. The protocol to report and get money paid back is so long winded and because she now doesnt have a phone or a car as both were stolen she cant get this all sorted. Can there not be a more helpful way to help people in these aweful situations where she cannot afford to have this card expenses bought by someone who obviously is not the owner How does this happen. So unacceptable

Not the same service as the old store. Lots of changes and unable to assist with balances unless you make a purchase. Clothing prices are still high.

Lovely spacious store... great specials and friendly staff.

At till it took so much time and 3 people to assist with voucher I had for R100 to try and help with voucher Edgars gave me while lots ofvpeople were queuing e waiting. So unacceotable. It made me sick.

Staff at cosmetic counters are always friendly and helpful (it is after all all about making a sale yet, in all the years of visiting Edgars Ive only had one bad experience with someone in a cosmetic department.) Having said that, the cashiers could do with some customer service training. On a number of occasions they hardly greeted. I do try to change the situation around by addressing them by their names and asking them how their days are going. Pretty soon we part on a friendly note...

Edgars TYGERVALLEY surprises me everytime we go there ; my wife prefers paying her account in person , having a faithful customer for more than 50 years.The merchandise and displays speak of a serious effort to attract and please us customers.

I tried to return an item today without a slip. Did it a couple of time before without any trouble because the item still had its tag on. The lady helping me at customer service was so rude that I just left. Closing my account there definitely. I was treated like an idiot and so embarrassed infront of other customers.

Nice layout, but often times the temperature in the store can be uncomfortable. Havent been here in a while except to pay accounts or look for shoes for my son. Theyve mainly become a more fashion centered store, they dont even have maternity wear available anymore. Pricing of items could be betterSometimes their on sale items are a bargain.

This was my first time at Edgars in this mall. I was not impressed with my teller who was not friendly. I was not given discounts that I was supposed to so I had to go to customer services to have it sorted out. Fortunately the lady I dealt with there was very helpful and friendly. Still I would not visit this store again by choice.

Great selection of clothes. Reasonable prices. However, you stand in line at the pay point forever. I simply cannot understand why it take so long to pay. This needs to improve.

This is by far the best Edgars outlet in the Western Cape. It has such a great variety of clothes, make-up, underwear, accessories and shoes and it caters for any size type.

The guy whom helped us, was so friendly n being polite and professional and even the one at the till! Great job guys!🙌👌

There are 2 malls in western cape that I think have the best Edgars outlet.Tygervalley being one of those... The latest feature is their approach to segment sizes to make the shopping experience easy peasy. I give them 8/10 for that idea 💡

A wonderful store. A place I love. Very helpful and friendly staff. Its always a pleasant yourney. I especially love to visit Margaret at the Chanel counter. I always buy my make-up and parfume from them. She also keep me up to date with specials. Its even nice just to wander in the store. One receive the best service ever. Definately a place to recommend.

This store is always packed with things that cannot be found in Edgars store of Parow Center. Especially when theres a sale going down. And when it comes to TM Lewins suit, they have one or two that even Canal Walk dont have. But service wise, its pretty the same Edgars standard.

Just had the most impressive service at this Edgars in Tygervalley. I was helped by a lady called Jessica. From greeting over to helping me find something to buy for mothersday to sourcing the correct number at another store to paying etc. 10 out of 10 to Jessica and Thank you for saving me lots of time!!

Edgars definatley are putting in an effort to upgrade there fashion. It is worth looking at. Place clean meat and organised but not many specials. I recommend.

The elevator hasnt worked since 2018! Its ridiculous. I mean if you are doing shopping with a baby in a stroller, you have to walk all the way to Foshini/ PnP to makr use of their lift! Its really not a great experience. I mean why cant the lift be fixed?

Cosmetics... Usyally the up-market martisys as so stuck up, but this stores has God a nice bunch.. Hopped over tho Chanel and the beauty guru made me feel so welcome, (I came from night shift) and he just say have fun,!!! Felt overwhelmed that for once some is not pushing red lipstick i will wear once or some lotion or potion.. Same for the Mac and clarins ladies.. As for the rest of the shop dont have much to say.. Same old, no one wants to help unless you beg, even security is helpful. But beauty wise I will always come back

Phoned in to Edgars Tygervalley, asked for the bedding department, was put through elsewhere, then when a sales person finally answered, I asked if they have Sheradown duvet inners in stock, they had no clue what I was talking about, in spite of the product being on the Edgars website, no wonder they are bankrupt! They made no attempt to try and source the product either.

I called Edgars Tygervalley as they were the only store who had an item which their Canal walk store checked for me on their systems. Selina the Switchboard operated were not helpful neither professional with her duties at all. No telephone etiquetteI asked her for menswear and she transferred me to the cell phone counter without telling the attendant there what the call was about.The Cell Phone attendant then transferred the call to menswear which was then put on hold again > Selena should have explained that Menswear telephone extension was either busy or out of order to the CellPhone Attendant however she did not. An automatic Voice msg came online and requested that I punch in my account number. I do not have an account with Edgars Thank God I was merely a cash paying customer who needed an item to be kept..I decided to call the switchboard again and Selena this time did not try to make an effort to assist and sort out the dilemma with the telephone call.I called three times thereafter and I was put on hold She was probably hoping that I would go away I was eventually cut off. A potential sale. For what reason I have no clue other than thinking that it would merely be laziness from her side. I do think that this kind of employee with her actions and attitude will slowly allow her job to become redundant. This is why there is so much unemployment in this countryI hope the shareholders of this company is aware that their monies are being wasted by this kind of service by their employees.Replacement with a self service machine is then the answer.Edgars. your service has gone down the tubes! You do not need these kind of employees.

I booked a watch in to the Tygervalley branch late in December. Because the assistant knew that we were leaving the country soon we were assured that we would have the watch back before February. We received none of the promised feedback from either Edgars or their repairers. My wife went to the store to enquire and the job was never recorded in store. I phoned them 2 days later to enquire about the progress and was given the typical story of I didnt work that day. I stayed calm then and just repeated why we needed the watch urgently. I was promised a call after they fit info from the repairer. It didnt happen. I phoned them today and spoke to the same girl I spoke to the day before and she had no recollection of having spoken to me the previous day. Feeling very pissed at their poor service and atrocious customer care I started demanding some form of service but only for stone walled again. Good bye Edgars and good riddance.

Frightening ....... cannot get through to this number , just rings & rings & on the odd occasion i do , i get cut off after asking to be put through to the gents dept ......... my 5th attempt to merely enquire about stock on a certain size pair of jeans !!!!!And this is after lodging a concern with customer services having had the same scenario happen at N1 Edgars, and being assured that the manager will call me back directly .......... hours ago !!!!I did reserve a pair yesterday evening to pick up at N1 which then vanished into thin air !!!!Numerous phone calls to both stores to-day and am still nowhere !!!!Is there any one efficient or concerned enough to phone me sometime this millennium or do i need to open an account elsewhere ????Regards,Les

A particular staff member at customer service was very rude to me. I made a mistake by returning items using my account card when I had actually paid cash. When I was confused about why I did not receive cash back she lashed out at me for incorrectly saying that I purchased the items on my account. Although I had made a mistake, I was never rude to her. I was only confused then realised my mistake. Im sure it could have been reversed, but her disgusting behaviour made me not want to say anything and leave the store. Quite unprofessional... I wont be going back there.

Good day,How many people work at Edgars in Tygervalley? Well, according to me only 1. The others are too busy gossiping than willing to help. ( Thought of taking photos of the 3 hanging on the rails and chatting. )I just want to pop in at get the same jean that I am wearing and get back home to start working. Without any help or luck.After deciding to try on 4 jeans without any assistance in finding the same jean. I’ve been informed that the cubicle in the jeans department is not in a working order and I am not allowed to try it on there, I have to walk to the other side of the store just to try is on.At the fitting room I have to wait for a lady to come, give me a nasty look and tell me that I can go through. Without greeting, smiling or making eye contact – I am really intruding in her time!?After the fitting I don’t want to take any jean, but there was no one present. So I took the jeans with me to put it away on its right place.On my way I saw 2 other jeans that may fit me and took it. I’ve also decide to took one smaller jean of those I’ve just tried on.Then I want to pay.UhhhThere is no one at the pay station!I walked across the store to the other pay station – deserted! 5 or 6 Computers without any one behind it! Both huge pay stations on the ladies floor are without any employer – no one can help me!On my way back to the first pay station I ask an employee if she can help me, I just want to pay and have been told to go upstairs to a pay station. I don’t want to go upstairs, I just want service and get back to my work. What guarantee do I have that somebody will be able to help me upstairs if all the employers downstairs only hangs around without helping!?Then suddenly the first one in the whole Edgars that is willing to work appears and is able to help me.
