An old school pick n pay. Old font and store layout is used. Good selection though. Shelves were full. Butcher and meat area has a nice variety.

Great cause for concern is the continuous increase in FOOD PRICES. This Pandemic has left many people unemployed or spouseless. Have a heart please . Welgemoed has experienced many challenges for its staff and customers but they have stayed loyal but this is no way to thank the loyalty of customers.

A good pnp with good supply of items for everyday shopping. My only gripe is the fruit that tends to be off or almost off. Strawberries, grapes, apples, etc. I hardly find good condition fruits.

This is good store for the daily or weekly top up items but wouldnt recommend for a monthly or bi weekly shop. the staff is really friendly.

Been to the store quite a number of times. Clean and well stocked, prices a little high but thats the area. My only gripe is the slow service. I refer more to the cashiers, they in general have no drive nor willingness to help. They are just going through the motions not doing a good job nor a bad one.

Shop needs to look at their hygiene, Tills does not get wiped off, staff speaks over the clients. The bakery definitely needs a revamp.

I bought some discounted products which I noticed was billed at the fulle price after I had a look at my till slip. I also bought fresh produce which was not billed at the marked shelve price. This is not the first time this has happened. I am not happy with PnP Local Welgemoed at all.

Welgemoed is a suburb of familes. It has an excellent pre primary and primary school amongst other quality amenities.The Pick + Pay is a tolerate for its convenience. You enter, and the security personel are unfriendly.Yesterday a large board in the entrance advertised a meat special. There was no-one working in the butchery. Having engaged with 3 employyes it was established that the special had sold out. There was a last different cut that I cut purchase at the same price. No apploogies. Its just the way it is. No- one removed the board at the entrance. Its been this way for years.

Great store and some of the staff makes it worth going there also. The beggars in the parking lot becomes irritating and makes me think twice before I go there.

Only go here if I am desperate. Meat is terrible. Staff also seem disinterested and arent in the mood to work.

Been shopping here since i was a kid. Totally dissapointed the last year with regards to keeping up with keeping stock of basic items. Long queues and smart shopper machine-thingy is usually out of order or it does not have paper to print receipts.

The fact that they pre-slice their home baked bread, makes my day. Every time.

A nice and clean Pick n Pay. Friendly staff and average service. Prices slightly high probably due to small size and high income area. Stocked with your average grocery needs, but dont expect to find anything additional beyond that.

This shop has a good central location in the area. The staff, however, arent the friendliest and some of them arent that bright unfortunately. The parking setup isnt the greatest and during busy periods can be problematic. You can buy delicious pancakes outside the front door at a great price.

1. I have raised the fact that tinned chickpeas and tinned lentils have not been on the shelves for months. Assurances are given that this will be resolved but nothing to date.2. The tills were busy 2 days ago. A supervisor directed me to the cigarette kiosk. The queue was empty, but when I approached, I was directed back to the queues. I approached the supervisor and indicated that I now had to join the back of the queue. She directed me back to the kiosk, but again the teller told me to join the queues. An argument broke out between teller and supervisor and I put my basket down and walked out after explaining the problem to the manager on duty.The problem with the kiosk teller is that she seemed to be reconciling lotto ticket purchases, which should be done at the end of the shift, rather than doing it instead of serving customers.The fact that an arguement ensued in front of customers makes it a lot worse.3. A price of pappadoms was rung up as R32 rand when the shelf price was R29. I was refunded, but the following day the price on the shelf was still R29 and the manager confirmed it was R32 at the till. Some obviously glaring faults in price verification,Price changing and correction

Pick n pay staff very disorganized. Danusha doesnt not trained. Rest of the staff they do not understand english. And staff not familiar with brochures that are running specials. on 3 days Expired Youghurt on the shelf, called manager. Didnt even apologise, asked assistant to SORT ME OUT This is one PnP branch, that NEVER has stock whenever you go to buy products thats advertised in the brochures especially the specials running.Always: out if stock or waiting for the truck to deliver.

All good.... except for the service behind the cigarette counter... they (3 × staff members) were all over the place with one customer while making 5 x customers waiting ... with acknowledgement.... no sign of trying to help with service... after done with this specific customer, 2 x staff just left the station without acknowledgement to any customers waiting for service...When I got to the front of the line, eventually, she rang up my items, without offering a bag... I end up taking a see-through bag myself and pack my items in there myself... even then she paid no attention to any service at all...

Very awful service at the deli, waited for 3 minutes to get service, with only one lady before me in the queue. They were already trying to serve her, but management had changed the codes again (apparently to intentionally confuse the staff). When the one person serving went to find the manager, I had to specifically ask the other person working there for service, as she was just standing at the scale looking into space. Then she replied, oh we dont handle the chicken skewers, let me call someone...Properly terrible service. At least the chicken was okay...

They should win a prize for CONSISTENTLY having atrocious customer service. On second thought, they usually have whatever the ABSENCE of customer service.The only reason theyre still in businesses is because theyre conveniently located.
