The Telkom shop only has 1 technician which is a unfortunate to your waiting time. Stood waiting for ages. I must admit the technician when I finally did get his assistance was quick and he was able to assist professionally.

Great customer service, friendly staff, but just have one issue, I think before opening a contract they must inform the customer first if they listed on ITC, because to give all the your info example bank account, address, etc...., I think they need to check the credit reference first before asking customer questions like what colour phone you want and offering all the perks, first make sure customer is clear on records to make them happy.

I cancelled my landline. Even paid for a month in advance. They say it will take 30 to 60 days. Its the second tine im trying to cancel. You dont win with them. Though my mobile service is with telkom. If its not cancelled within 30 days i will definately put it on social media.

Very disappointing.First I was told that they could not help me but will forward my cell no to the relevant department that will call me within an hour. Sadly Im still waiting. To say the least your service has gone from bad to worse. Clients stand in queues for hours only to be told that they cannot be assisted. Your call centres are also ill equipped to service, desperate and frustrated customers.

Been receiving a normal bill for 18 months, now all of a sudden in this last two accounts there are additional charges. Nobody at Telkom could definitively tell me what it is neither could anyone stop this additional billing nor reverse it. You can sell but what about service?

Disgusting and unethical service,I went to this Telkom store (Kenilworth Center) yesterday to purchase a sim card with Data.I was advised to wait outside the store for a consultant to help me, which I was ok with as per COVID protocols, but then the 1st consultant to finish (female) walked out the store and had a private conversation with a lady standing with a baby behind me, the next consultant to finish (also female) did exactly the same thing. The 3rd consultant asked if he could help, then when I told him what I needed, he said I have to wait for one of the 2 women who were at this stage laughing and having a good time outside the store. A 4th consultant then finished and helped me with the SIM card. He scanned a SIM card and through it on the desk, then took another SIM card in his hand and started typing on his computer. I paid for my purchase. which was R99.00 for the SIM plus 5GB Data. today I put the sim in my router to find it not working. I called the Telkom call center to enquire whats happening. and was told the SIM is active and the data in on the SIM. After a long conversation I asked what the serial no. for the SIM is that they have on the system and was given a different Serial No. to what I have on the SIM I was given.This was a conscious and deceitful action from the consultant who helped me and utterly disgusting service from this store.I am definitely going to demand my money back and will never support this store again.

Went into the store to open a new phone contract. Salesperson that helped me was ridiculously unprofessional. Seemed uninterested and unwilling to help. More interested in whats happening with his colleagues. He also did not communicate with me about what his doing. When I told him what phone I am interested in, he tried to get me to go for one of the more expensive phones, even though I specifically said I am only interested in the phone I mentioned.Towards the end of him filling in all my information, the system went offline. He said he would phone me once it comes back on to let me know if everything is submitted or not. I have still not been contacted.I went into the store 3 times to open up the contract. Each time there was an issue. Eventually I just asked him to check which other stores have stock. He said Cavendish has stock. I then left the store and went to Cavendish. In less than an hour I walked out with my new phone.

I thought actually going into a store would be more productive ,sadly not . The consultant was not very friendly and didnt really even make eye contact . I got the Impression that he couldnt get rid of us quickly enough. I actually took time off work to go to a store because I was having no success via the call center and all he could tell us was to call the sales department at the call center.

The shop looks beautiful and well maintained. The service on the other hand is very disturbing. One gets the impression that the servers are their to pacify clients instead of ensuring that the problem is solved. Had to return three time to sort out an issue and Every time I returned it was dealt with like it was a brand new problem. The servers are not equipped to deal with technical issues just daily mundane ones. Tell on really needs to up it game.

Don`t waist your time going in to this shop as they basally pay there rent to have a few phones on display, can`t help you with cancellations, cant pay your bill, will send you to Checkers or Woolworths, Never have stock on phones and no knowledge on how to assist you with your Billing .

Look... The queues are long and you will likely wait long, but I found the staff very friendly. This is my go-to Telkom store when I have any queries. I found that the staff were mostly knowledgeable (they do get some stuff wrong on occasion) and kind and did not respond angrily to customer abuse. Customers come into the store already angry and the manager stays calm the whole time, kudos to her.

I was at Kenilworth, tried to enter the Telkom to see options to renew my contract. I was given the run around by the tempetature guy at the door, as he spoke to another lady. I ended up not going into the store and Im even thinking of not renewing my contract. Very poor service, avoid at all costs.

I have never received such bad service from a Telkom store before. Staff was more interested in blaring inappropriate music in the store that when you are helped by someone you are constantly having to ask them to repeat themselves as you cant hear yourself think, staff more interested in having conversations with each other than helping clients and the wait just to buy cellphone data, is beyond pathetic. And dont bother asking for the manager because he will make you wait so long, that you rather leave the store before you do something you will regret.

Staff was amazing. I just wish I got the ladys name to thank her personally in this review. She was very friendly and thoughtful since Ive just been robbed the night before and had me in and out with the new contract phone for my girlfriend. I was just saying to her how telkom is really turning its reputation around through its mobile phones department. I highly reccomend it if youre looking for the best deals and helpful staff that actually cares.

I had a terrible experience. My remote of the LIT Android box runs down batteries in 2-3 days. I was told that I have to buy me a new remote as that is not covered in the guarantee. I only had the device for 4months and now I must fork out unnecessary money for a new remote. Absolutely terrible service!

The have so much to learn about customer service that its pathetic the way they behave and treat their customers. I have nothing positive to say about this company. Their installer (a contractor) was very helpful. As for the rest of the staff and manager at KC branch in Cape Town, well at least they are at work. For that they get one star. Im embarrass to say that for the first time in my life I swore at the staff on 2 occasions....They need councilling. Thank you.

This store claims to be a Telkom shop but clearly cannot be - since according to one of the agents, they dont deal with Telkom Land Line issues. only Telkom mobile... and nothing to do with payments.. All I wanted to do was to start a debit order. I.e. They turned me away when I wanted to ENSURE INCOME FOR THEM!!! When people default on their account, I wonder if its because of this ridiculous store or rule

You sort of expect bad service when you deal with Telkom, but somehow they still manage to disappoint. Went in today to get some info on my contract end dates and upgrade options. Staff very unhelpful and disinterested. Music playing so loud you cant hear what the consultant is mumbling behind his mask.Gave them 4 stars on my previous visit, but the standard surely has dropped way below par. Definately not renewing my contracts when they come to an end.

The worst service ever experienced in my life time....from the very start, it took almost a week before my 2 devices were operational, was not impressed when I first walked in the door and perhaps I should have just stopped there and just walked out again....maybe Im just old school but I think manners are important when conducting business, agents dont even greet you when doing business with you and this rudeness just became the thread that I see pulling through the business...I dealt with the agent Abdul and he hasnt even got the decency to call back when following up on a query...just says sorry all the time.in May I was billed double and after many follow ups initiated on my side all the time he eventually blamed me for the double billing stating that my daughter must have overridden the cap set on the contract?? For June just now I was also billed double after agent Abdul supposedly correctly reinstated the capping on the contract.i had said to him in May that I would not pay in June, but my cries seemed to have fallen on deaf ears...no feedback ever...only promises and the same excuse given that they are busy. I refuse to pay Junes instalment and will reverse the paymeny by going to the bank. I was warned by different people about how rediculouse Telkom is with their billing. I sincerely hope that whoever reads this does not even think of taking out a contract with Telkom Kenilworth. Wish I could give them zero stars... pathetic!!!!

Never had a worse experience. First i was told my bank was not working and i should go draw cash. Came back and the consultant who was helping me was busy. Another consultant tried to assist. Told me their card machine was not working! Then informed me after 15 mins that she could not help me as my profile was open on the first consultants pc and i was sent back to him. He was chatting to two clients a man and a woman clearly friends of his and simply ignored me. After 30 mins i walked out the store!! Unassisted

Near the end of March I took out a iPhone X for R949 with Telkom. I was advised that I would be charged a pro-rated fee at the end of April, which will include March and April. I was duly charged R1898 at the end of April. This is besides the fact that I only used the phone for a couple of days in March, where I would only pay for the amount of days left in March and the full month of April.Now for the month of May, Telkom wants to charge me a ridiculous amount of R3400! This includes the month of April as well as May.As soon as I got the invoice, I went to the Telkom store in Kenilworth Centre. How ironic that the customers next to me had exactly the same problem. The agents at the Telkom store said they were unable to help as its an Accounts query, and said I should email Accounts with my bank statement to show that payment was successfully debited, and I would get a response in 24 hours maximum.I emailed Accounts, clearly showing the amount of R1898 being debited from my account, and asking them to send me an invoice with the correct amount. Its been 1 and half weeks and 7 emails with no reply. I couldnt even bother speaking to a Telkom agent over the phone, because everytime I explain the issue, they either have no idea whats going on, put me on hold forever or drop the call.This is the WORST customer service I have ever received from a company. To be honest, theres actually more issues prior to even receiving the phone that I have had with Telkom, but I decided to sweep it under the carpet to give Telkom another chance. I am sick of this service

On Sunday 26th August 2018, husband and I went to Kenilworth Centre Telkom and was assisted by a Abdul, he claimed to be the manager on duty. Since the time we walked in the store he seemed uninterested in assisting us, when he heard we wanted to port. He asked us if we were sure that we wanted to port on a Sunday, as it will take 3 weeks for the port to go through. I insisted that he go ahead with the port as I had worked for another cellular network and I have done ports over a weekend and this was not so. We were in the store for more the 30 mins and he was less then gracious the entire time. Insisting that it was because it was a Sunday and that is why it was taking so long. I asked if he can charge my phone while we were waiting and he said that they did not have a charger, by right this was not his duty, but so much for customer service. He then did the ports or so he said and my daughter sms did not come through and I asked him if I can come back if it did, he said yes, I left and came back 5 mins later and he said he cant assist me as he went out my profile. I was so angry i asked him to cancel the ports and he said that he did not have to as he did not submit them????I came back and asked for the head office number and he went into the backroom and came back 5 mins later with a number and I asked if this was the branch number for their store and he said no it was the head officer number and I left and my husband said that it was there store number. We went back and asked him if he is sure re this and he said yes.When I called the number on Monday to log the complaint it was the branch contact number. I spoke to a man called Nicholas and he claimed to be the area manager and was supposed email me re this complaint and up until now I have heard nothing further.Their service is truly pathetic...
