This rating is NOT for Telkom but for the service I received from Jamaica Claasen at the Telkom Cape Gate Express branch. She was more knowledgeable of their products than other staff members who gave me conflicting information. She assisted me professionally, answering all my questions with a smile. Thank you Jamaica.However, I would NOT recommend the Telkom prepaid wifi service. I bought 40GB of data and in less than 3 weeks it was gone. I only use it for internet browsing and business emails. I do not stream or download any large files. I bought another 10Gig data and it was gone in 1day. The only way to check your usage is through the app and not even the staff at the branch can assist you with that, even with the SIM card present. I am the only one connected to the SIM. Upon checking my usage from my phone and wi-fi it reflected that I had not used HALF of the data I bought. Upon complaining online 1 week ago, Telkom is yet to respond. Of only their online customer service could be as good as Jamaicas.

I recently had some issues with porting from another provider to Telkom Mobile. Mbali at Cape Gate branch went above and beyond her duty to assist with this. She regularly followed up with me and give me feedback regarding the process. The other party was at fault not Telkom. This is what I call service! I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the service I have received from Telkom thus far ! December 18th I took my phone to a store for repairs as I have purchased insurance with Telkom. I understand that there was a down time in the festive season but today 4 March I am still awaiting my device or any feedback for that matter . Do I need to take legal action . Has my device been stolen by the insurance company or Telkom. Is this fraud .Firstly when they charged me an excess it was a whopping R1089. If that is the excess what amount is my monthly payments/insurance covering . Funny enough during this time (in January to be exact) my colleague had a phone which was in a worse state than my own that had to be repaired at Vodacom they charged her R7!!! And she got it back the next day . Something is fishy with this Telkom and insurance issue . I actually don’t care for the money anymore you can keep it I just want my device and I will definitely tell others of this issue and not recommend Telkom as a service provider

Telkom has very attractive deals, but after sales service is unacceptable. It is nearly impossible to resolve issues online and this requires you to revisit the store (nearest to me 110 km). I have been trying to port my previous number for longer than 3 weeks, but without success. Also no feedback from Telkom if online or in-store application unsuccessful.

The staff are very helpful but i have been waiting 3 hours to receive my device as the IT department is asleep or something cant wait for them to wake up so i can get my device

-5 stars!! Absolutely disgusting service. Been trying since May 2018 to transfer a line. My 86 year old mother has not had access to her telephone since May yet we are paying for a line at an empty house. I have not received any smss or phone calls as promised by the staff and manager (who kept me waiting 15 minutes when I requested to see her) and have had to waste time and petrol going into the store 4 times - still with nothing achieved!

I was pleasantly surprised after all the negative reviews. My experience was great, not quite on par with other cellphone companies but still good. I was actually disappointed with their online ordering process which left me nowhere after a week! Mercia at the store was really helpful and friendly and I got my contract and phone within a day. As a matter of fact there was going to be some delay and I was walking back to my car and Mercia called me to say everything was in order! Great customer service!!

Only there to sell cellphones. Dont even attempt to have them attend to queries/problems. They will refrr you to Telkoms hopeless call centre
