On Thursday 29th July I purchased a pocket router from Telkom Adderley Street and during the transaction the assistant manager had a very impudent demeanor, however I proceeded with the sale ignoring that and the sales reps that assisted me, Sadeeq apologized for her being rude, he then explained how to operate the router and said if Im dissatisfied to return to the store within seven days, he unfortunately didnt disclose that theres a non-returnable policy for the device which I found negligent and to a certain extent incompetent, my right to disclosure of information and procedures as a consumer had been breached and as a result I had to contact Telkom customer care 5 times to explain to them I was blindsided as the sales rep did not tell me they dont do refunds, and they advised me to go back to store and claim for a refund after giving me a case number. I went back today to present the go-ahead for the refund by their customer care supervisors, and I was made to wait for an hour after telling the manager I had an exam to write in less than 20 minutes and they told me I could be refunded by the end of the day which I found extremely absurd. I explained I needed the money immediately as I was running late for my paper that I ended up being denied to write as I was extremely late to the venue and I will have to pay for a rewrite because the store manager said they needed to follow process which could take up to the end of the day. I went back at 3pm to collect my refund after he texted me it was approved and neither he or the sales representative was remorseful about me missing my exam because they denied me a refund earlier and the stressful position they put me in after I was very patient with them irrespective of them not being competent enough to explain their full procedures so I could have made an informed decision on the day of my purchase to avoid such an experience. There were no checks for coverage in my area so we could all be certain the router was going to work well and not give me issues once I leave the store. The service was beyond appalling. They can truly be lucky that my mom offered to pay for my rewrite and that I am not escalating my complaint with consumer protection complaints for their inconvenience to me especially when I was given a receipt without any terms and conditions of purchasing from them or returns policy!

Was promised a copy of the contract in my email, and still do not have it,Signed a contract for a Laptop with backpack and when they brought it out it did not come with a backpack and was told that is how it is and there is nothing they will do to resolve the issue.The consultant was friendly, but been friendly is not a solution.

After going through the reviews here regards to renewal of a cellphone contract all i can say is i am not surprised at all. I have been trying to renew my cellphone contract for almost a month now but with very much difficulty and some sort of resistance to date. When i went to renew my previous contract with telkom Adderley next to the train station i was assisted and walked out with the device the same day! Apparently my account/contract was erroneously captured as a business account and this is where the problem started with the first consultant trying to resolve this issue. Once sorted the consultant tried to submit my upgrade application but with no luck as there were numerous back and forths about this and that till one of the supervisors had to step in. Now that the device was approved getting the device to the store for pick up is also an issue, like what is happening here? All i need is a device upgrade like yesterday and the excitement i had has infact died. This is not a telkom adderley street problem alone - there is definitely a problem with the whole telkom customer service and client experience. It needs serious attention and change of structures and value alignment necessary.

Have been trying to upgrade ny contract for a week now. 1st salesmen never kept a handset for me as requested, 2nd salesmen not confirming when handset will be there.No one answering phones today, both landline and cell numbers. Thought they might have been closed today BUT walked there about 30mins ago to find them open.All i want is a answer and SERVICE which is lacking at this store.

I walked in to check on a router with the idea of upgrading to a better plan.The female consultant I spoke to gave me the options checked the coverage.She then proceeded to tell me how I shouldnt upgrade early due to it causing unnecessary billing issues for the company.On the last 3 occasions I was assisted there the service was at least with the intention to please the customeron this occasion it was not to benefit or assist the customer.I think your store can be more consistent with the level of customer service.you are speaking to people not robots;-)

I have always experienced horrendous service from Telkom. But the staff at this branch not only listen to me they show an eagerness to provide good service and they get things done immediately. Ive been twice to ask them to rectify a mess up made by other departments or branches and within 24 hours of my request, they have gotten it resolved. The staff and Manger of this branch are the only reason Ive kept my account.

Phoned 128 times over a eight week period - phones were answered exactly 12 times. 7 out of the 12 times I was told they will call me back - This failed to happen 7 out 7 times.Physically went to the store 5 times, 2 out of the 5 times the only consultant who deals with landlines was not available. The other 3 times said consultant, admittedly very friendly and seemingly helpful, sent me off with the promise that the issue will be resolved within a reasonable time frame. Yet the issue persists..Two months later and the simple procedure of a transfer of ownership is still unresolved. The struggle is real.

Poor serve after standing queue to do SIM swipe they dont have SIM Cards I take a walk to the second telkom store in town I queue again no SIM Cards thirty stores of telkom promenade queue the did the sim swipe they said I most wait hours thereafter SIM Will work I get home happy waiting SIM to work it just showing me SIM registration I call help line call waiting answered after holding 50minutes the tell me SIM not registered I most go back telkom store again to register 👿👿👿👿👿 I just give up telkom no customer service.

I logged a call to report a fault on my landline. Was promised a technician would come out within 48 hours. Its been 3 months and ive logged a call 3 times already. Telkom your service suck.

I am please to report that the staff at this branch is awesome, my only problem as a consumer is that Telkom are in bridge of our contract and when i made inquiries, i learned that some technical issues why my night surfer not kicking in and why my data runs out quicker. I envisage to visit the store and cancel my contract because there was not full disclosure of technical glitches and why i only received 5gb and not the full data of 10gb as per my agreed contract. please can i be furnished with an email address in order to put my story in writing with the relevant people at the store where i signed the contract.

Verry bad service at Adderly street Telcom Direct and Telcom Adderly street , Cape Town. I am being messed around and waited over a week at Telcom Express then went over to Telcom Direct in the CBD and they are also making me wait. Silly excuses saying I have to wait a week more to just get a Phone!!!! Now I cant go somewhere else because I have signed a contract already. Cheap price for cheap service!

The sales agent who assisted me was amazingly helpful and very friendly (thus 4 stars) but the shop is small, has cockroaches and you have to wait for someone to unlock the door every time you go in or out because the door is kept locked at all times.
