MotoRent car hire are very good in their service. I hired a car from them when I was in Cape Town from Gaborone Botswana. What I liked most was that they communicate with a client and try by all means to satisfy the needs of a client. I had a small problem with the car which later turned out not to be a mechanical fault, nevertheless,the mechanic responded very quickly asked me to send my location via WhatsApp,in no time he arrived. I really appreciated his effort to see to it that all was fine. I also loved their terms when hiring and also their pricing is affordable . Best service ever :) after shopping around for a very long time I came across Motorent. They made me feel at peace and gave me constant communication to ensure I am happy and satisfied with the vehicle. I had the vehicle for 2 months with no complaints. Im extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and empathy of motorent. I suffered a medical condition called disk lesion and was unable to drive and got admitted into hospital. I tried to call to return the car but no 1 was available and there would be issues with drivers not being available to collect the vehicle in the interim the daily rates are being applied suddenly I owe them. I was supposed to go out of my way to arrange with friends to make the drop offs and if friends were unable to do so I was constantly harassed over the fone by Nausheena that Id be reported for theft - how. Goodness I was so flabbergasted by the way she spoke to me, literally shouting and speaking over me. Id wouldnt recommend motorent to anyone EVER!, rather try bettacarhire. What a horrible experience. If I could screenshot the conversations, copy and paste the voice calls.. you would be just as shocked.Regards,KKIts unfortunate that I cannot reply over and above your response. Lady please get your facts straight. Before I contracted with motorent I advised Raees of the intention to travel to the EC and he said it wasnt going to be a problem such cases can be arranged, not once did you/he say it was completely forbidden/restricted otherwise I would have considered another rental place, I suppose you agreed because you wanted to make a buck and I understand that.2ndly - Ive been renting with you guys for almost 5 months. I made full payments each month right up until my Dr forbid me to drive in Dec please check your system again if your mind has failed you and Ive had to arrange designated drivers. The amount I did not pay for was for Jan month and that is because towards the end of Dec I tried to make contact with you to terminate the agreement and make arrangements to return the car to you by Jan 1st as I knew there wasnt going to be a need for it. When I was finally able to reach Raees on the 3rd and he told me your offices would only commerce on the 6th Jan and that hed get back to me soonest but he only reached out on the 16th Jan 2020. I then said to Raees since it was mid Jan and the vehicle had been in my possession for almost half the month (by default) Id make payment arrangements to cover Jan considering the medical bills he said OK, but then you came last minute demanding full payments.When you tracked the vehicle parked in Claremont at my work place it was to arrange with HR around long term illness leave - you have my work contact details and you could have confirmed with HR whether or not Id been booked off. I emailed you the medical certificates as proof but seemingly you are making it seem like I was lying and skimming about my medical well being. which i dont take lightly. I didnt pretend I was in hospital because at the time I wasnt, I was consulting with specialists and physiotherapists about my disk lesion condition.Lastly, not once did I ever ignore your emails or calls instead I was the one trying to reach out for collection but DRIVERS WERE NEVER AVAILABLE ending up with another day rate defaulted (people please be aware of this- this is how they make their money). You didnt have to track the vehicle down. You asked me if I could arrange someone to drop off the vehicle to you and I told you that Id try because I couldnt drive. I kindly asked my partner to drop it off and he was going to do so after work but you were so RUDE and persistent and wanted the vehicle right there and then so I exercised the collection process. I gave you his work address details and I gave you his contact details to arrange collection... you didnt have to track him down. Seriously!

I was quoted twice the rate advertised on their website. The rep wrote it was due to peak season, but I was able to find normal rates elsewhere and the website should really mention higher rates, so people do not waste time.

After having experienced poor customer service from a Car Hire in Table View as well as being scammed by another car hire in Stellenbosch on different occasions, I felt hesitant to hire again from a smaller company. However, from day one I received fantastic customer service and rented for one year. The car was not new but very well maintained and as a single woman on the road I always felt safe driving. Thank you Motorent for a professional and friendly service, I will use you again when I get back to Cape Town. I have recommended you to people that are currently using your services and will continue to do so.

Ill never rent here again. We arrived the Sunday and arranged for the car to be dropped off at the airport, instead, someone collected us and took us to their office - inconvenience no1. Secondly, the fuel was on reserve, not even enough to get us to our destination, inconvenience no2. Next, the back passenger side window blows off while were driving along the N1 nearly causing an accident, inconvenience no3, then, instead of replacing the vehicle, we were asked to take it to their repair center saying it will only take an hour. Needless to say we wasted petrol getting there and also had to wait over 2 hours which affected our tight schedule, inconvenience no4. Needless to say, we also nearly missed our plane because they were late collecting it from us at the airport. Never ever will i use MotoRent again.

Never had a breakdown and when I wasnt happy with a car, Motorent would always gladly do an exchange until I was completely satisfied. I did my research and found Motorent to be the best value for my monthly car hire need. To keep the prices low the cars are slightly older used models, but who cares if all you need is to get from A to B! Roadside assistance is included in the rental if there ever was a problem. The rental office isnt in a central location, but theres the option of having the car delivered to you for a small fee, or for you to be collected/dropped off at the airport. Simple pricing and insurance options, not the maze of confusing add-on pricing you get when renting from the bigger rental companies at the airport. Would use Motorent again.
