Everytime I arrive in Cape Town, always use CTA instead of Avis and Hertz. They always collect me from the airport, and make sure the car is ready to go. All the vehicles are new as well. The best company at the airport by far!!

Experience with cta car hireThis has honestly been one of the worst experiences I have had. I know I didnt hire a very expensive car but what I did expect was to get a car that was road worthy and drivable. I was on vacation with fiance showing him around cape Town.What I got was a black Chevrolet spark with a half tank of fuel thats handbrake didnt work at all, and then I was told to just take it to be repaired. I didnt want to waste my time on my vacation getting a car repaired, and a whole lot of attitude from elize. I did it anyways, was told to hang around for an hour. I was told the car had to be swopped. I returned that car with a full tank of fuel. We agreed that I would return the aqua Chevrolet spark that I got on a quarter tank of fuel. I had the aqua spark for around a week when it started jerking and became undrivable. I told Unita I wanted a partial refund and just to take the car back, she sent a machanic and said we would discuss this. Without any discussion a white picanto was sent to me and the aqua spark picked up. I had just put R300 fuel into the aqua spark and I was given the picanto on a quarter tank. I informed Unita about this immediately and she agreed that I would get that R300 fuel refunded to me.How can she agree on that and now tell me oh first we have to see how much fuel was in the picanto when you return it. I returned as agreed on a quarter tank.The picanto had a slow puncture which by this time I was so sick and tired of faulty cars that I just pumped the front left tyre every second day rather than be told to bring it in or swop another car.I have just been informed that I was only refunded R100 of the fuel money.???? Seriously?????This is a complete and utter joke. After all the issues I had I would think that the right thing would have been done and the R300 fuel would have been returned as promised.I come to cape Town on vacation quite often and I assure you I will never use cta car hire again. The condition of your cars are terrible and your employers have an attitude and when an agreement is made it cant be stuck to.I am not one to complain about petty things but I feel like there is no real care for your customers and absolutely no concern for the inconvenience you caused me on my vacation. Ive hired many cars before as I travel a lot and I have never experienced anything like this.Not once did anyone apologize for this inconvenience. Unita only apologized for the way Elize spoke to me.I feel quite shocked actually and now the fuel issue.I would think twice before using them. Cheaper yes but for the amount of inconvenience definitely not worth it.
